This was our first visit to Top Farm. We were made extremely welcome by the owner, shown around the facilities and taken to our pitch. As I understand, campers are generally in a separate field unless they require EHU and although we didn't require EHU (wish we had as it was bitter at night!) we were put at the end of the caravans as we were the only campers on site, so that we didn't feel out on a limb;
We had absolutely stunning views across the fields and enjoyed watching the barn owl swoop across, the fox and the deer. Most of the caravans appear to be permanent pitches and the few residents that were around were very friendly and helpful.
The facilities were good - only two showers though so some queuing probably involved in the height of the summer. These were operated by a £1 token purchased from the owner and were fabulously warm and powerful.
Washing up facilities were good and particularly appreciated the free use of a fridge and freezer. We have dogs and this site is a doggy heaven for walks straight from your tent and with plenty of dog waste bins around too.
We absolutely loved this site, it is very rural, and we obviously chose a quiet time to visit; we have rebooked a return visit later in the year.
Aylsham is nearby for your needs, including a large Tesco. The Bure Valley Railway is well worth a trip on from Aylsham to Wroxham, which we comfortably did with our two dogs.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown around the site. The toilet block, washing up facilities and showers are located in the field for the touring caravans, or for tents needing electric hook up. The toilets were initially very clean, lots of hot water, this changed as the site became busier. There are 2 shower cubicles in a separate block, £1 a token, hot, long and powerful, but not the cleanest. This is a rural site with no lighting from the camping field to the toilet block, off putting for the ladies and kids. This is a basic no frills site with no facilities in the camping field. Ideal for off lead dog walking to the fields, woods and heathlands. Saw low flying barn owls, and deer whilst dog walking. Fantastic food in the Black Boys at Aylsham 3 miles away, dogs welcome in the bar. Aylsham has tescos for all your needs as well as local butchers, bakers, take aways etc. Not far from the broads and beaches

Today we returned from a a 3 night stay at Top farm with 3 other families, at first impressions it was lovely we had beautiful views over the countryside with lots of open space for the children to run around. Toilets were clean and owners very pleasant.
But that was where it ended as we were in a tent and had hookup we were pitched among many caravans, a man who obviously has a permanent caravan pitch came over to us and was very rude telling us to keep our children away from his van and private garden which we felt could have been dealt with a bit more politeness.
As the day went on and the toilets became smellier and smellier, to the point it was making us wretch they were obviously not cleaned on a regular basis. We arrived Friday and they were not cleaned until late Sunday night. We also paid for electric hookup for our cool boxes and the electric went off everyday sometimes for quite a considerable amount of time. Saturday and Sunday night the electric was off in the night which I feel was very dangerous and quite scary for my children. Surely for health and safety reasons these lights should be kept on over night.
Saturday night the owner walked round and asked us to turn any electric off so he could restart it, and after we told him certain things were battery operated he was very rude to one of my fellow campers.
Our final day on site the owner on top farm was over heard by a fellow camper in our group about the electricity tripping out and continued to blame us 4 families in tents saying we had fridges, heaters etc my friend did approach the owner to tell him that all we have are fridges with the occasional charging of phones.
Due to all the above we shall not be returning and will not be recommending this site

We really enjoyed staying at Top Farm. It has a lovely peaceful setting and a friendly atmosphere, great for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle. We liked how it felt remote yet nearby you have access to pubs and the town Aylsham.
The site facilities are basic but of a good standard including hot showers and a shared fridge and freezer. Also there are some pretty walks and lots of birds including regular barn owls.

This was our first visit to Top Farm and we'll definitely be returning - it was clean, friendly and had a barn owl and beautiful sunsets.
The site opens up onto woods that you can explore, with two lovely fields for the kids to run around in. Good for dogs, but everyone was good about keeping their dogs on leads.
The showers had plenty of hot water and the loos were clean. We had hook-up for the van and there's a lovely small wooden play area.
We went to Blickling Hall nearby for the day which was beautiful and full of history - it's meant to be the most haunted house in Britain, with the headless ghost of Anne Boleyn riding in her carriage with headless coachmen visit each year on the anniversary of her execution. The library of 10,000 books was stunning.
We didn't have time to visit, but there is a narrow gauge railway nearby.
We're already planning our return visit!

This was my Daughter's hen party weekend. Firstly, the owner couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and both he and his employees ensured we had everything we needed. The younger members had tents and a caravan on the top field whilst I and two of my friends enjoyed the luxury of a Bunkhouse. Absolutely fantastic. Warm and cosy, microwave and kettle brilliant touch and electricity for hairdryer etc a real treat. Toilets were spotless, showers perfectly adequate.
Lovely countryside walks and views in a quiet picturesque part of the county with an abundance of nature around you and coastal towns only 20 minutes away. The market town of Aylsham is 5 minutes away where a Tesco store is located. This was my first experience of 'camping' and I have to say the 'Bunkhouses' are an absolute must. Truly amazing. So a huge thank you to Clive and his helpers for a fantastic weekend.

On arrival we were greeted by owner who was so helpful. Very good size pitch with a fantastic view of surrounding countryside. Facilities good, and toilets and showers always cleaned regularly. No problem with charge for shower as there is plenty of room and is clean. Perhaps could do with some doggie bins on site or nearby. Best bit, great for dog walks. We had a total of four dogs, (with friends dogs) and we found a different walk every day. The location is perfect for coast and Norfolk Broads. We went on train to Wroxham and also went to Sheringham, all within 30 minutes of us. Recommend Banningham Crown, pub about 10 minutes away. Also went to Aylsham Show which was a lovely finish to our August Bank Holiday. We did fit a lot in in three days. I have never been to such a peaceful campsite. Would definitely return.

I was dubious at first because the prices seemed too reasonable! we spent the best part of the journey from Middlesbrough to Top Farm expecting little more than a field, however it is hands down one of the best sites I have ever stayed on. We were greeted by a very genuinely friendly owner who showed us around let us pick our pitch (always a bonus!). we encountered some difficulties (I'll blame being tired and weary!) putting our tent up and after about the third tantrum a lovely guy who worked on the site trundled over to help (he then more or less single handedly put the tent up like it was the easiest thing ever!). The campers field is superbly flat and so peaceful. There is no light pollution from the site on a night so stargazing by the campfire is just fantastic. The toilets are clean and the showers are hooked up to the mains so are powerful and hot as you like. There is an abundance of serene walks around the land of the farm and some beautiful touches added by a very thoughtful owner. The purple heather fields up the top are just beautiful. Ten minutes away there is a tesco and a small village so the world is just the perfect distance away. Its perfect because you don't get mollycoddled by the owners, they jst leave you to it but never avoid you either, always a pleasure to chat to and couldn't do enough for you. The nesting pair of owls was just the icing on the cake for us and they informed us of the best places to see them. And as promised as we sat eating our tea they made a star appearance in the field adjacent to our tent. Spectacular. I urge you to stay here I cant wait to return. Thanks for a lovely week guys, and my two dogs enjoyed barking at you as you passed everytime!

We stayed here based on the reviews, and were not disappointed. This site is dog heaven-we had three with us. Miles of off the lead walks directly from the site. A short drove away I would recommend the river side walk along the Bure from Brampton. Great Location to explore area and beaches only short drive away.
Tescos in Aylsham is 3. 8 miles (open till 11. 00pm)
Good facilities - clean loos, hot water, washing up area. Well organised rubbish disposal. I didn't mind the charge for the shower- you get a power shower with decent hot water in a spacious cubicle -considering the reasonable site fees we thought it was an acceptable charge.
There were children in the tent field when we were here, and all were enjoying the space to play- don't think its a bad thing there is no playground-its just not that sort of site! One word of advice- if you are in a tent and want hookup you will be sited in amongst the caravans ( touring and seasonal) which doesn't have quite the space and relaxed atmosphere of the tent field. Fire pits allowed as long as you use the slabs provided to prevent the grass scorching.

This was just right for us since we enjoy getting away from it all, a decent view and plenty of scope for dog walks.
This site offered a lovely welcome, backs onto heathland so is great for walking, and is very relaxed and quiet.
The loos were spotless and the site well maintained while keeping a rural feel.
We only stayed a night after visiting friends in Norwich (only 20 minutes away) but would visit again, though would be certain to book ahead since most of the units there seemed to be permanent and do shop before you stop unless you have a car because it seems a fair way to the nearest grocery shop.
