Fabulous location with stunning views over towards Caernarfon. Within walking distance of Newborough forest and beach with it's beautiful white sand and excellent facilities.
Facilities at White lodge perfect for families as a nice safe environment and smaller site so children never to far away. Play area was a winner for our children.
Free wifi at the cafe/bistro so you can keep in touch whilst away.
Owners very helpful and friendly.
Toilet and showers on the process of being updated
Bistro on site is award winning literally and everything we have tried is sublime. Take away coffees available as well.
This is our third visit this year so we must like it!,

First review of a campsite.
Nice and easy to find the site, with signposts once you get close. A cosy feel to the site with 2 lines of pitches, but well spaced and hedges behind each pitch.
The view is spectacular when you look across to Snowdon and the East :-)
Facilities are adequate, but this is also the first time I decided to use the shower in the van, so cannot comment, but my other half said they were not the best (water was warm early doors)
Cafe has a very appealing menu for a bistro, not sure it is a campers menu, but they were very helpful when we asked for a take out (food put in tin foil).
Lots of rabbits around in the morning, and a dog friendly site, would stay again as it us a good base to explore.

Easy enough site to find and well sign posted. Pitches were a good size.
Main focus is the cafe - I felt the caravan site was a secondary focus. Access to site was being constantly blocked by parking to the cafe.
Facilities left a lot to be desired. Showers were small and limited and behind the kitchen so no privacy. Water pressure was awful. Everyone had to abandon showering one morning as the trickle down the wall was all that could be mustered up. When we reported this - the guy just shrugged his shoulders. Took forever to fill the aquaroll and only one tap.
Waste water disposal was high up so you had to lift the waste hog, which isn't the easiest thing. Bins were overflowing and the recycling points were a free for all.
There was a strict no noise after 10. 45pm rule but on the Sunday night the cafe held a hog roast and they didn't adhere to their own rule.
I wouldn't bother returning. Much better sites on offer in the area that are better geared up for campers and caravans.

We’ve just returned from a great 4 night stay at this campsite. It’s quite a small site with about 20 / 25 pitches, well situated for any exploring on the South & South West coasts of Anglesey.
Even though it’s small you still get a great cosy atmosphere. We had two kids (9 & 5) with us and the playground was a great hit, two slides, two swings and a climbing frame. If you ask the kids they’d say that the best bits were the playground, the bunny rabbits and going out toad and frog hunting. The worst would be the bed times, but staying up that bit later to watch the stars and the space-station made up for it.
The site is well maintained and the pitches are laid out quite well, although the pitch numbers could do with being marked on the posts, not just on the map on the entrance.
Whilst we were there the site was full but not bursting, and even though it’s only got two toilets and two showers you didn’t have to wait too long. All the facilities were kept very clean and well stocked. Especially since one toilet block was shared with the café. The café was an added bonus as not open all the time it did a great breakfast at a reasonable price too.
One down side I would have would be the size and quality of the showers. The water pressure wasn’t great so whilst it started as a spray, all it took a loo to be flushed and it reduced the flow to a trickle. The temperature could also have been a bit more on the warmer side. Yet I understand this might mean a change to the plumbing, as all the showers are on push button timers, but it maybe a simple tweak on the main boiler though.
I wouldn’t let the showers take away from a great little camp site, as it wonderfully stationed as it’s only a 40min walk to the Newborough forest & beach, and about 40mins drive up to Holyhead.
All in all it’s a nicely sized, well laid out friendly campsite and a truly great little place to stay. This was backed up by the fact that some of the campers were staying for up to 2 weeks. I’d say it was well worth a return visit.

This site is a fabulous find recommended to me by a friend.
I booked to go with my best friend and her family for the weekend and we had heard great things about the site café.
We were met at the site by the very helpful lady site owner who also took our table reservation for that evening in the café and were given a choice of pitch, all good sized and with EHU.
The site has a small children's play area which is where our 3 children headed off to immediately.
The Marram Grass ‘Café ‘(more an intimate bistro) is definitely the highlight of the site, I couldn’t praise it highly enough. It’s run by two brothers who I think are the sons of the owners. The chef is trained by a past Masterchef champion and wow you could tell! The food was absolutely outstanding and much of it locally sourced, service was outstanding and the children were also well catered for. Liam & Ellis were so friendly that they felt like old friends by the time we came to leave – possibly because we kept going back in there for more! Our evening meal was fantastic with the finest cuts of meat – everyone was eyeing up each other’s beautifully presented plate of food! The afternoon cakes and scones were to die for and the breakfast was pretty good too!
To get this standard of food on a campsite is unusual but so welcome and we will definitely be heading back for more!

The approach to White Lodge Caravan Park was easy and very straight forward.
Our first impression wasn't the best it felt and looked a little tired and maybe not as loved as much as it deserved to be.
We had a very warm greeting and given the necessary information to enable us to enjoy our stay.
The pitches were on either side of a small field with a central track. The pitches were big enough for us as we were only a small unit and the site was extremely quiet at this time of year.
The view of the Snowdonia range was just lovely to wake up too.
Just after we settled in we were offered a piece of home made cake which was delicious( I think it was surplus to requirements in the cafe).
We all ate in the cafe a few times and very much enjoyed what we had certainly no complaints.
We used the facilities and they were okay but I'm glad the site wasn't full not sure how they would cope.
The area is exceptionally nice we spent a lot of time at LLanddwyn Beach our dogs thought it was great.
All in all we enjoyed our stay but would like the site to have a little more TLC.

Just got back from a four night stay here. Great friendly site with good facilities. Great location with a lovely walk down to Newborough beach.
Owners really friendly with good local knowledge of walks and attractions.
Really good cafe on site but couldn't always rely on it to be open as they closed early during the week.
Pitches are marked out and are a good size.
Showers were clean, hot and free. There were 2 each for mens & ladies. Toilets were clean.
Only downside was some road noise in the evening.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay in a tourer caravan, we are a family of 4 and found the site good value for money.
Ideal site for base for visiting the island ! this site is small but everyone was friendly.
Lovely family friendly site, nothing was too much trouble for the owners.
Kids were able to run free and play on the playground without us having to worry about them.
A small cafe on site looked nice but we only had takeaway chips which were lovely.
On the down side, needed more toilets and shower facilities but must say they were spotless.
One more washing up sink would be great too.
I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a small family site. We will be going back next year.

This was the only place with space when we phoned around last minute for a campsite in Anglesey. We stayed for a week and had a very enjoyable stay.
We were very happy with the price (£18 for a family of 4 plus one under 5 staying in 3 small dome tents on one pitch).
My first impression was that the field was much smaller than I'd expected from the photos I'd seen. Our pitch was spacious and flat, but being August all the pitches were full and there was only quite a small space in the middle of the field available for children to play ball games etc. When it rained, much of the middle turned into a quagmire.
The children enjoyed the play park (including lots of imaginative play with the piles of conifer leaves mentioned in another review!) and the table tennis (balls were available for 50p). We really appreciated the owners refreezing our icepacks for us.
We had a fantastic cycle ride to the beach which is really beautiful if you continue a little way past the car park (no toll for bikes) and we also enjoyed visiting the nearby stepping stones.
I hope the owners will extend the toilet block and washing up area at some point as there was often a queue, but we were there during peak season so it is probably adequate for most of the year. The toilets and showers were always clean and tidy.
We really enjoyed our week and would return to this site.

A level site in the south western corner of Anglesey making it ideal for touring the island. The camping area is set out along either side of the central driveway.
The first 4 pitches are hardstandings with EHU and Water close-by but immediately opposite the play area so it was rather noisy until late.
The remaining pitches are laid to grass and being away from the facilities were probably a bit quieter.
The showers and toilets are tucked away behind the cafe area and so you have to walk past those who sat eating meals their al fresco.
We felt the price for the pitch and food in the cafe was a bit expensive, and it was just a bit too noisy for us so we moved on a couple of days earlier than planned.
