Just back from this site, we took our caravan,
Male toilets poor, male shower still unfinished, very disappointed after a 130 mile journey, paid for a week came away three days early,
This camp isnt equipped for tourers, walked into cafe on first day, 4 o'clock, to be told they had stopped cooking,
Tents and tourers mixed up, allotted a pitch we set up almost under trees, across was tourers in sun with no one in them. A tent came with a family in, it was only three foot away from our van, we could even hear them talking at night.
Just a field with electric, more suited to camping, this site needs updating,

Very disappointed with our stay at this site and I am a little surprised at the many 'positive' reviews, because we found very few 'positives'. There are many improvements that should be made at this site, some that are health and safety related.
1. NO laundry - it states on the website map that there is one. It only costs £180 for a washing machine.
2. Toilet Block - 1 external male and 1 external female toilet. It does state this on the website but both not cleaned regularly enough and in a poor state of decor. There were approx 60 people staying at the time of our holiday. That is clearly not enough toilet facilities!
3. Showers - 1 male shower (for 30 men??) VERY dirty shower curtain, covered in mould and had obviously been there for some time. It costs less than £5 for a shower curtain!
4. Kids Playground/area - often taken over by caravans/tents as an extra pitch. I feel that this is VERY greedy and unfair on the kids, as this is the only area to play in.
5. Pitches very very small. You are literally 6ft away from the people next to you. Don't go here if you like your space!
6. No fire buckets/extinguishers seen.
7. Table Tennis room - dirty and you have to pay 50p at the cafe for a ball??!
To sum up, this was a small muddy field with lots of pitches close together and with very inadequate facilities or facilities that do not exist.

White Lodge is a small peaceful site with beautiful views of Snowdonia. The site is level and sheltered. It drains very well, even after some heavy downpours.
There is a lovely on site cafe which was very handy. There is also a a children's play are and a table tennis room (you need to bring your own ping pong ball).
This is one on the friendliest sites I've stayed on, both in terms of the other campers and the owners.
The toilets/shower were kept very clean during our stay, however there wasn't enough of them to cope with the number of campers which often led to queues forming.
Overall this is a nice site but would excellent if another shower/toilet block were to be installed.

We spent 10 days here, and have mixed thoughts. Owners are friendly and worked hard, however, some areas of customer service could be improved:
On booking we requested a pitch with evening sun, told that would be fine and checked again when we paid the balance. On arrival there was no pitch on that side taken by weekend campers!
We spent the evenings of a sunny week sitting in the shade looking at the empty pitches in the sun. Then on the Monday morning the diggers moved in at 8am and started digging a 2 foot ditch to put the electric hook up in. They continued to dig for the next three days!
Attention to detail around the site was poor, cut conifer trees in piles by the play area, tall stinging nettles around the washing up area, brambles across paths, long grass. Little things but important if you have small children, we did ask for the nettles to be cut, but they weren't during our stay.
The campsite has good small showers, no family shower room, laundry room or shop as stated on website.
Cafe was good, excellent food fairly priced, good location good beaches.
Reasonable site with potential to be much better when it is updated, but this work needs to be done out of season!

Their website shows a light, airy, clean site. The truth is the opposite. There are weeds, wasp nests, rubbish piled up and buildings/play areas made of rotting wood on site.
The pitches are tiny. It is not wide at all. With no area for kids to play they run up and down, behind the tents day and night.
There is one shower for the men, that was filthy.
There is mould on the walls, both men and women showers had mouldy shower curtains and were barely big enough to turn round in. There was open pipe work and in the outside toilets was even worse with cracked plaster, mirrors, stains on the floor, dirty hand towels. I did mention this to the family, but it was not cleaned. There is no laundry as advertised, and another reason why we booked.
The site has the potential to be great, but even the cafe is dark, and packed with art work they are trying to sell. The website is very misleading and at £21.00 a night for a site in the middle of no where I think it is very over priced.
The cafe did not have any prices and did not stay open in the evening, when most people are on site. I heard numerous people wanting breakfast on the day of their departure, to find it was closed!

We are a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 young children. We booked for 3 nights, only stayed for 2. Reason, noisy camp neighbours and not a lot done about it by owners.
The pitches were quite small, we could fit our 5 man tent on with a car right next to it but that was all. There was no field space for the kids to play games but they did like the small play area. There weren't enough toilets and although I didn't use the shower, my husband did and said they were fine.
The beach is a 10-15 minute drive (you could walk it, 3 miles or so but watch out for the wild ponies!) and you have to pay £3 to get down to it past the toll booth, this is not mentioned on the website.
We will return to Anglesey again but not to this site.

Great small site with about 30 pitches, some of which are season tourers. 2 small play areas that felt safe for kids to play on unsupervised.
The food at the cafe was excellent if a bit pricey, no prices on board so a bit of shock when we got the bill. Mussels were to die for, huge portions.
Showers undergoing refurb, mens could do with another as a long wait for hubby. It's advertised with family bathroom but I never found one.
There isn't a lot around the site but newborough forest beach is 5 mins away.
Bethesda is about 30 mins away.
Would def return here.

The campsite itself is amazing; pitches are large and flat (car and tent fitting comfortably inside), the staff were friendly and helpful. Onsite the cafe is great value for money with high quality food. Toilets and showers kept really clean. Washing up facilities are under cover and have a bowel. Hot water was never a problem.
The views over snowdonia are beautiful. While this site says 5 miles to a beach this is by car; a peaceful 2 mile stroll will also take you to a more secluded area of the beach. At night the road was quiet.
Make sure to try local pen-lon beer (really, its amazing).
All in all a very good, well run campsite, we would definitely go back again

The site is very small and well laid out but a bit pricey compared to the other sites we stayed at in Anglesey.
The location is very good with lovely walks in the forest and sand dunes. The views of the mountains from the pitches was fantastic.
We stayed for two nights. During our visit a new floor was being laid in the facilities block which meant that most of the facilities were not available. I felt that we should have been offered a discount as a result of this. Once finished this will be a nice site.

This is a small but compact site with very friendly and helpful staff. The view down past the caravans in the late evening and early morning was really beautiful.
The site is located right next to Newborough Forest with pine trees and red squirrels and on the far side some lovely beaches.
There is a basic shop and post office in Newborough which is around 10 minutes walk away.
The facilities were clean and although toilets / showers were limited in numbers this is perhaps a reflection of the small size of the site and I never had any problems.
