October 2004 Quiet family run site, helpful and friendly. Very secure, locked gate at entrance at night. Poor shower facilities and only two toilets, luckily we were only ones there. Nice tea room. Very picturesque and good location to tour West side of island. Couple of miles from beach and very reasonable priced.

August 2004 Nice little site field kept clean, bins emptied daily. The staff friendly and helpful. Kids loved playing with the toys in the play area. Shop only stocks basics plus kids toys. The gate is shut at night which is great.
We would have gone again but found that there are only two showers (with toilet and wash basin) located in the cafe. Showers were carpeted so dirty and wet all the time - showers themselves needed a good bleaching - we didnt particularly want to use them but had to as a necessity. The two outside toilets were clean but these facilities were inadequate for the amount of visitors on site. We also had rowdy teenagers next to us who proceeded to get drunk and make as much noise as they could after 10pm.
Having said this, the site is very cheap water is free and hot, good value for money but would rather pay that little bit more and have better facilities.

May 2004 Small family run site. We stayed on the busy Bank Holiday weekend and found the 2 showers and 4 toilets inadequate for the number of people staying on site. However they were very clean if a bit dated. The shop and cafe are very handy and well stocked. 'Childrens playground' is a selection of very old outdoor toys - not ideal if you have young children and are expecting a playground. Probably would not visit the site again as we prefer sites with more modern facilities.

April 2004 A great little site with all the facilities. The proprietor, Anne Masters and her family where most helpful and friendly thoughout our stay. No problems, plenty of hot water and excellent facilities. Also on site is a cafe and market garden.

March/April 2004 Update :- This was our first stay at White Lodge. Our caravan is stored there as I don't want to tow. The cost is reasonable. When we require the 'van I just e-mail, or you can 'phone, with the dates & the 'van will be placed on a pitch for you. You then pay the normal pitch fee. After your visit the 'van is returned to the storage area. Or you can take your own 'van or tent. The pitches are a good size, not all cramped together. The site is secure, with several family members always there, they all live on the site. There are also CCTV cameras installed. White Lodge is a nice quiet family site, no pub or club to attract any undesirables! The owners are very heplful and friendly. I can recommend Anne's apple crumble, very nice warm with icecream topping Mmmm!, available in the tea room along with other mouthwatering goodies. All the facilities are very clean & tidy.I don't normally like "other peoples" toilets but I havn't got a problem with these. There are also clean showers & a laundry room. Visit & enjoy, you will return! S.J.W.
