Beautiful location with direct beach access, St Helens Beach is at the bottom of site, dogs are allowed on the beach all year round which was perfect.

The beach also has a lovely little cafe with great veiws of the bay.

Our static caravan was very clean perfect for two adults and a dog, the small extra charge for clean linen and bedding is very worth while.

The bar/diner was good and very busy with food orders although we didn't eat.

Played on the arcades and enjoyed a game of bingo but that was all we did with regards to the entertainment.

The swimming pool did not cater for adults swimming but had fantastic features for young children.

Tesco's down the road in Ryde for any forgotten or extra items, although there is an convenience store.

Will definitely be visiting again.

We camped on an electric hook-up pitch on the bottom camping field and on this stay pretty much all our comments are negative - we even packed up early and came home. The facilities in the bottom field were pretty horrible - hardly being cleaned at all - due to there only being a couple of cleaners for the all the facilities apparently. My husband showered in the same shower three days running and every day there were things on the walls/doors which had not been cleaned from previous days. The toilets were horrendous.

Facilities at the newer block above the field were better but not great - I showered there one night and the water was cold as they had a problem with the boiler which couldn't be helped, but in addition they weren't that clean probably not helped by the wet, dirty, hairy mop left for people to use to clean them after use. Fortunately we had a friend staying in a mobile home there at the same time so myself and the children were able to use their shower and toilet. The noise levels at night were awful - and no checks appeared to be made so it was never monitored.

We were kept awake until 2am by parties on the site on more than one night, and until gone midnight every other night. We did call the security out of hours number given in your welcome pack but still no-one seemed to come and do anything about it. Also the washing up facilities on the bottom field were pretty dire - the first time we went to use them both sinks were full of earth and sand respectively. We decided to end our holiday early which was sad but for the best. And I am glad we did because the day we packed up loads more campers descended on to an already packed site and we would have felt extremely hemmed in with all the tents which went up around (and almost on!) our pitch.

On the plus side the access to the beach is great and the beach is lovely for swimming at high tide and rockpooling/crabbing at low tide. Also Robin Hill within easy access which is a lovely day out plus the beach at Ryde 10 mins away and well worth a visit.

Stayed here for 1 week during Whitsun bank holiday week and had a great time. The weather was great which probably helped.

We had chosen this site following a recce visit that my Wife and I had done the previous September during a visit to IOW on the basis that we thought that the pitches would be suitable for our large tunnel tent. We had an idea where we would want to pitch but this couldn't be guaranteed when we booked. We ended up on one of the first electric pitches you get to when entering the touring part of the site and this proved to be a good one. Having seen the main camping field at the bottom of the site, it was quite slopey and was open to the public from the beach. The pitch we were allocated was quite flat although this did need some work on it as the grass and earth had worn away and left shingle that started to puncture the groundsheet in places despite moving it before putting the tent up. Plenty of space for the tent and car though which we haven't had on most previous sites.

The shower blocks were ok - not the best I had come across but adequate. There was an older block near us which was ok for toilets and a morning wash but was quite dirty and run down. I wouldn't have a shower in it. The main, newer block was nice and clean with plenty of hot water but the main problem as others have said before me was the lack of anywhere dry to hang clothes and get dried & dressed. You were literally in the shower tray as soon as you stepped into the cubicle.

These were the only negative points and the facilities and activities on site were fantastic and kept our 2 kids of 8 & 13 entertained most of the day. Restaurant & bar was good and pool fine although on the small side. It was a bonus to have the beach at the bottom of the site and you didn't really have to get in the car to go anywhere if you didn't want to. However, the rest of the IOW is well worth seeing especially the drive along the coast road through Ventnor to Alum Bay & the Needles. Breathtaking views!

Would definitely go back - the kids loved it there and didn't want to leave. Would definitely recommend this site.

We had a lovely stay at nodes point, over Easter, when the sun was beating down none stop for 5 days!

After an initial issue with check in, where the signs direct you to a closed reception, then fail to direct you to the main reception without a wild goose chase. When you do find the reception signs please don't miss the 'caravans no further' bit or you'll be unhooking and spinning the unit round in the road. Luckily we were ok in the camper.

After checking in we couldn't find the pitch because the marker numbers 'hadn't arrived yet'.

Anyway after that it just got better! The warden called in to give us pitching advice and was very helpful. In fact he had a visible presence all week, frequently talking to guests and not too scared to address issues, unlike many.

The pitches are very large excellent and spacious. The best thing about the site is the location, right on a great beach which is dog friendly, sandy/stoney, ice cream shop and cafe, and a cycle ride round to ST Helens.

Despite being a holiday camp type site, its small enough to be friendly and under control with visible security in all the public areas. Entertainment is what you expect, the comedian on Monday was very good. Shop well stocked, pool is a kids splash about type, not serious swimming. Bar is good and does bar meals which are more pub than campsite (good thing).

We had a meal at the crab and lobster, Bembridge, £8 in a taxi, which we enjoyed but wasn't 'award winning'. Our advise is phone windmill cabs and ask the driver where he recommends - locals know best! There's a bus stop at the gate and travelling on buses is easy if you've got the camper pitched up. But go back to Ryde and use that terminus as its much quicker route to Cowes than via Newport.

New toilet block is good and kept clean, showers suffer from the ubiquitous 2 hook syndrome we all love, but are large and don't therefore need yucky curtains!

We went to this site for 2 nights in our camper van lovely location, near priory bay in Bembridge. The toilet block we were near let the site down as the rest is pretty much up together. We don't recommend bingo as the man reading the numbers tried to get the few that were in for the bingo to do a stupid dance before he started, but for kids that's fine. Had a nice meal in the bar with lovely views over Bembridge harbour. Over all a good site but the picture of the pool is exaggerated as the slide is very small compared to the photo

We had a great time at Nodes Point. The road to site is narrow but easy to navigate through. The reception staff were really pleasant and helpful. We had a already erect hired tent which was clean and well equipped. We found the shower block in the portable cabins were better to use as they were clean and spotless. I did use the shower in the block where you wash your dishes but found it not as clean. We found Tescos was easy to get to to buy our groceries.

We will be booking again for next year but for a week, as we only stayed for 4 nights.

This is our 6th visit to Nodes Point in 5 years which may tell you that we rather like it!

As usual we stayed in one of their ready erected tents, which are situated about as far away from the entertainments complex as one can be, making for a very quiet holiday:). The touring site is similarly situated.

The site is beautifully located with a pleasant beach literally next door. The beach has a mixture of sand and rock pools and seems very safe.

Onsite facilities are good. There is a warm indoor pool with a waterslide and lifeguards who actually seem to be happy to be there and interact well with the children. Additional activities such as snorkelling, raft building and aqua jets are offered for a small fee in the early evening. However, the pool opening hours are somewhat limited.

The site shop is very well stocked and reasonably priced.

The entertainments are what one would expect from a Park Resorts site. Our 8 and 10 year olds loved them but do not expect much for adults. Bar prices are reasonable (by London standards anyway!) although the choice is very limited.

There are plenty of good quality toilet and shower blocks dotted around the site and we have never had to queue.

Staff are very helpful and friendly.

There is also a riding school on site with sensibly priced hacks for adults and children.

We had intended this to be our last year at Nodes Point but the anguish of our children led to us rebooking for next year. I think that sums up how we feel about the site: it is a great place for whatever type of holiday one wants. Everything is there if you want it but it does not intrude.

Was quite worried about this campsite before we went as I don't like well known chain campsites due to their cheesyness. There was a buy one night get one free offer so we took advantage for a long weekend and I needn't have worried at all.

The reception staff were friendly and even though they couldn't promise us, and as we went with friends, managed to get our pitches next to each other.

The camping area was well away from the rest of the campsite where all the nightlife and entertainment was so it suited us perfectly.

Our pitch was plenty big enough for our Vango Columbia 600, a Vango Dart 200, our camping table and the car. The ground was rock hard so we've since had to buy some more tent pegs for our trip to France in August. We had to remove a few thistles before pitching too.

The closest toilet and shower block to us was a portaloo. Unfortunately, because it was so close to the beach, the locals and other beach visitors also used them. There weren't enough toilets and showers anyway for the amount of campers - both tents and caravans, but when others started using these blocks it didn't take long before they were smelly and dirty due their over use. The only other problem we encountered was again, because we were so close to the beach, the people in the know, knew they could park their cars on site near our tents and they wouldn't have to pay the parking fees that the local council charged through the gate to the beach. Anybody had access to the campsite from the beach walking or via the main gate with their vehicle and I didn't ever see anybody coming round checking tent cards or vehicle details etc. We did mention the parking when we left at the reception and they told us they would sort it out as they were totally unaware of people doing it.

As for the rest of the campsite, we didn't do anything other than use the swimming pool which was really, really nice. Infact one day, the water was nearly too warm to get into. The lifeguards were really nice and friendly and weren't afraid of having fun with the people in the pool. They genuinely seemed like they enjoyed their job and that it wasn't just filling a hole for the summer.

I can not comment on the bar/shop/entertainment/activities/playground as we didn't use or visit them. The playground was too far away to let the kids go play by themselves.

Overall, if the toilet/shower blocks could be permanent and cleaned more regularly whilst keeping extra visitors away from the site, it would be a nicer place to stay. We're glad we only paid the BOGOF prices cos we thought that was fair for what we got.

Arrived on site, narrow road up to site but nice site once there. Pitch was flat and lots of rabbits and wildlife which was nice. We were told pitch was 6 x 6 but we called up and they said pitches were big and we could take our Hi Gear Kalahari 8. We were opposite the pre erected tents and near a toilet block that can only be described as disgusting! About a third of a mile away was the beach and a nicer clean modern block of toilets. Worth the walk. Enjoyed the site and entertainment at night as well. Small park and well stocked shop. Overall, very happy with the site.

Chose this site and third park resorts site to visit on Isle of Wight and we were very pleased we had and sad we had not found this site before. We arrived at 10.00 after an early ferry and were told that pitches were not ready until after 12.00 ish due to having to dry out! This despite the previous week having been very hot.

The receptionists in the touring area unfortunately not very accommodating with choices of pitch and seeming very unhelpful to try and accommodate a two week stay with a couple of pitches we would have liked. Kept waffling about not being able to swop people etc felt as had booked early in year and for two weeks would have liked a choice. Unfortunately our pitch was bang slap in the middle of 5-6 large groups with teenagers all hanging about on the patch outside our tent. The pitch faced another tent with approximately 6-8 foot between you fine if you want to sit and look at your neighbour! Very little room to park your car if you happened to have a slightly larger than average tent. The site was really noisy. Toilets in bottom field were dirty and ran out of loo paper. Spoke to cleaner who said that she came once in morning and evening. 3 toilets in large field which is also used by people from beach is not adequate in height of summer, unless you fancied a trek up hill every time to slightly better facilities.

Having said all this the location of the sight is beautiful right by the beach with crabbing, surfing, boats in and out and horse riding what a beautiful beach you didn't have to lug stuff in car to another beach for day if you didn't want to. Left one day early as wanted the luxury of packing up and not having to rush to be off by 10.00 which is hard pushed if you have large set up.

The bar is ok had one meal there which was adequate. Swimming pool not really any good for swimming just dipping and staff seemed distracted even to the point where hose being used in corner of pool by kids mucking about and only noticed when manager walked in.

Please do not think that this site is not worth visiting because it is I am just giving an honest version of our stay. If Park Resorts ironed out the above problems this would be heaven.
