We stayed for 10 nights on this site. We'd been before on the static site so we knew what level of sophistication we were letting ourselves in for.
The facilities at Nodes Point are great - especially if you've got youngsters. Swimming, shop, evening entertainment - it's all there, included in the price.
The touring campsite is a stone's throw from the lovely secluded beach of St Helen's Duver (pronounced 'Duvver', apparently). For those people who camp, it's even closer as you can literally pitch within throwing distance of the sea.
The touring facilities were good, on the whole - a new shower block had been built recently and although the warden did his job very well, the users of the facilities seemed to forget to actually clean up after themselves. Lots of sand/grass in the showers. Pity.
Easy to get to - but don't put the postcode into your SAT NAV when leaving the ferry - you'll end up going via many, many 'B' roads. Some of which are VERY narrow!
As said, the park has a more than comprehensive shop and all day bar if you need it. Failing that, a new, huge Tesco is 5 minutes' drive away near Ryde.
We had a great time here and would definitely come back. If the sun's gonna shine - it'll shine in the Isle of Wight.

Fabulous location. We were pitched at the bottom of the field and just had to walk through an alley to reach the beach. Beach good for crabing. There is a walk through the wooded part of the beach to Priory Beach which is spectacular, and good for a swim, it is a long walk though. If you are tenting would recommend pitching on the slope as if there is rain there are a couple of pitches that are likely to get flooded (confirmed from someone who stayed there last year). We had a lot of rain but it ran away nicely. Very very windy, seems to be this particular side of the island more so. The pictures of the swimming pool are deceiving, the slide is tiny and the pool quite small but lovely and warm. My 8 year old enjoyed it. Did venture into the club as the weather was bad, they had a different cabaret each night, which some of it left a lot to be desired. New shower block superb. We tended to use the one at the bottom of the field for convenience, but it only had one loo and 2 showers, water was hot enough, but it did tend to get grubby in there. Staff all very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic time here and would definitely go back.
We were booked to leave on the Saturday morning but decided to leave Friday evening as we had to vacate the site by 10 a.M. Which the reception staff arranged for us. So had a 10 pm ferry and a lovely quiet journey on the way back missing all that lovely traffic on the M25!

Just returned from 7 nights camping here and definitely would return. We arrived some 3 hours before the official pitch time and found the touring reception closed, there was a phone number in the window for the warden and he was very helpful. We were shown to our pitch and told if we needed any help with anything at all to contact him. We were glad we chose EHU as these seem to be the only level pitches on the field. If you do not have EHU it seems it is pitch where you like, but beware- it is on quite a steep slope. There are some level parts round the outside, but again it is first come first served. It is quite a hike to the top of the field for the toilet/shower block, but these were absolutely spotless at all times, day and night and always had plenty of hot water. There is a block at the bottom of the field, but I would describe these as basic, old cold and dirty! they seem to be used mainly by people returning from the beach, although there are a couple of sinks for washing up which also had plenty of hot water. We did not use the clubhouse etc, so cannot comment on these. The shop was well stocked and quite reasonably priced. When we did need something the on site shop did not stock, we went to a Londis in Nettlestone about 5 mins drive, they stock loads and are open from 5am-9pm every day. The tent field can be very windy, but it is only a stones throw from the beach so an offshore wind can be expected. Overall I would reccomend this site, especialy if you have children. The staff are all friendly and it is a good base for exploring the island.

Stayed for nine nights at the end of Sep in to Oct. Location is really close to the sea. Facilities were great (toilets had just been done). The staff are very friendly. If you like fishing then there's lug and rag on the beach. If you don't that last bit made no sense. The club was friendly and we will be back. Tesco is close and does sell local beer if you keep your eyes open. The photo of the pool is a little flattering towards the slide. The arcade and the club kept the kids happy. There's a ball game court and small kids play ground too.
Any down sides? Watch your dolly wheel on the speed humps and I would strongly advise an awning tie down kit (cheap from towsure) as we got blown around a bit, it was a rough night though. At the end of the season we were put on to a touring pitch which just meant the ground was a little hard. These are minor niggles though.

Have just returned from 10 nights at this site and will definitely be returning! Fantastic views of Bembridge Harbour from almost all pitches around the site and access to the perfect beach for kids - safe enough for swimming yet plenty of rock pools to investigate. The site is on a steep slope but has been cleverly designed so most pitches have a sea view and it drained well during the downpours. On the nights when it rained constantly, site staff were around to check everyone was OK and were quick to help anyone with any problems. We required EHU and was told that we would have to pitch our tent on the touring field as there are only a limited number of EHU pitches on the camping field. We were glad that we ended up on the touring field as pitches are much flatter - it appears that if you don't require EHU on the camping field then you can pitch where you like but it isn't very flat. We arrived before the official start to the school holidays - plenty of other kids around but not noisy. On the first weekend of the school holidays the place began to buzz and the place seemed much friendlier and family-orientated. The shop was reasonably well-stocked and reasonably priced. All staff were very friendly especially the touring warden. We used the swimming pool several times and were very impressed with the lifeguards who were very vigilant. Our only minor criticisms were the quality of the food in the Harbour Bar (our Sunday lunch was not very good nor value for money) and there was no real ale at the bar. We also turned up for the under 5's disco on a wet evening and found that they were more interested in selling bingo tickets than entertaining the kids. Our only other comment is that the shower block near the pre-erected tents could do with better weather protection for when it rains as the water currently runs off the block straight onto the unfortunate people washing up in the rain!

Stayed at this camp-site for 14 nights. The warden (Steve) very helpful and friendly, as are all the club-house fun-time staff. The tent field is on a slope though not too much a nuisance. pitches are plenty large enough. Here you are within 100 yards of nearest beach which is great for kids and rock pools, walks etc. The toilet block on the tent field is new porta-loo type. Dont be put off because they are very clean and suited our needs throughout the 2 weeks. there is a new purpose-built shower-block at top of tent field it put off by porta-loo type. Amenities are as per the website for this camp-site. A word of warning, indoor pool is like a hot bath, I'm not kidding you. Shop okay for immediate provisions however, very little tenting accessories available. I had to drive into Ryde for tent gear. Entertainment suited our twin 9 year olds well, not too packed. As usual, drinks a bit pricey but something you have to accept with entertainment chucked in. Be aware though, I forked out over £20 on a Pitcher of beer and other drinks - asked for small top up of extra lemonade in one glass and got asked for 55p extra! Overall, this camp -site is ideal for families of all ages especially if you look for value for money. Not one spot of bother or awkwardness throughout 2 week stay. We definitely recommend it to fellow campers. Gray.

Nodes Point - Great Site!
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff on our arrival: Excellent. The Touring Site Warden (Steve): Amazingly Helpful - 5*. The size and position of our pitch: Brilliant. The new toilet & shower block (and disabled): Very good - also they were kept beautifully clean at all times. The views of the surrounding beach/bays are lovely - maybe they would be even better if the mature trees were cut down in height quite a lot. The Clubhouse and entertainment - very good. The pool - very good. Children's Entertainment - maximum effort put into this on behalf of the staff. Lovely people. The food - not bad at all and not expensive. The shop - not too bad at all.
The surrounding areas - excellent variety for all ages. Very pretty.
All in all, probably 8 out of 10. Very nice indeed.

Just spent the Spring Bank Holiday with our tourer at this site and was very pleased despite the torrential rain for the first few days. We were met by the friendly camp warden who informed us of all its facilities. The large plots are all reasonably level .There are ample shower/toilet facilities on the tourer / camping side of the park. The new block is very impressive. The club entertainment area was full most nights although I didnt stop to partake. The area smelt smokey and could have done with a spruce up. My 12 yr old spent every day attending the 'The Mix' club which kept him entertained. There is an enclosed football/basketball area and a small play area on site. The sea and beach area is virtually on your door step. A sloping road leads down to it from the camping area excellent for buggys or wheelchairs etc. Some sandy areas but alot of peebles and sea weed washed up probably made worse by the bad weather we just had. Great spot for launching your small water craft/ RIBS / Kayaks etc. Adjacent to the site is a large National Trust area which was previously a golf course. Called St Helens Duver there are some nice walks towards Bembridge Harbour and across from the harbour a secreted RSPB marsh wet land area with footpaths around it. A great site. I would certainly visit again when visiting the isle.

Caravan was a little too old for my liking. I chose the cheapest option but wasn't quite expecting it to be as bad as what it was, it certainly looked better in the pictures. I don't think anyone had vacuumed under the bed for years and the mattresses were horrible. Site was fine otherwise. Pool and surrounding area were all clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
