This was my first camping holiday with my family and we choose Nodes Point due to it's proximity to the beach, which is beautiful and offers great fishing, crabbing, rockpooling and sandcastle fun. The site was excellent, clean showers and toilets, shop on site very reasonable in price (Costcutter). Pool was smaller than I imagined and not that clean, lifeguards were young and easily distracted! Did not use the bar or evening entertainment and would have preferred not to have had to pay for this. Excellent local restaurants, Baywatch on the beach (eat before 4.30 for same meals but better price, evening meals are almost double!) Puckpool Park for crazy golf, play area and excellent pizza. Vics store in St helens for your morning paper and croissants. Will use this site again XXX

Great site, first time back for 25 years. Really large pitch, great for our 7 x 3m tent. The portaloos could have been open as it was getting busy into the second week of July. The main shower/toilet block was great, clean and large sinks/shower areas. Could have done with a little more Adult entertainment, the kids entertainment didn't finish until 10pm most nights. Harbour Bar staff really good. Godshill village was great to visit and really nice tea rooms and shops. Arreton Barns is another really good place to visit. Overall a really good holiday, and we are returning in September for Finals Week after my husband won the weekly darts competition!

Great Location with large pitches. You don't see the statics unless you want to. Direct beach access. Very friendly warden and staff. Good quality toilet block with decent portaloo toilet/showers to bolster when numbers were heavy over the bank holiday weekend.
If you go there try the Bugle @ Brading for great value food for the family.

Fantastic location, 2 fields for camping right by the beach, we stayed in the furthest one from the beach because it was quieter. The one by the beach was packed and noisy and of course being in a tent the sound travelled to our field. I'd recommend earplugs for sleeping.
Toilets were clean and tidy.
We stayed in two tiny dome tents and were charged for two pitches which was annoying as our tents took up less space than a family sized tent.
Great location for children and got booked ok last minute for bank holiday weekend.

We have stayed at Nodes Point several times over the last 3 years and we love it! we started off staying in the statics, and then last year and this year with our touring caravan. Ok the clubhouse could do with the promised face lift, the indoor pool is smaller than the brochure makes it look, but on the whole this site is still miles better than others we have stayed on and the Beach is fantastic and so close! The warden (Steve) is very friendly and helpful as is his wife, the toilets and showers (main block) are very clean and the water lovely and hot, (although at night the main lights could stay on a bit longer before switching to the backup lighting! bit scary lol, but that's probably because I take too long in the shower!) We are already booking for next year and will hopefully continue for many years to come!

A very attractive, gently sloping site near to a pebble/sand beach with rockpools for crabbing. The toilets and showers are clean, with the new block being excellent. Being a holiday park, the site has the usual range of activities on offer, some great (especially those for children) and others less so. The immediate vicinity of the clubhouse can be noisy but the camping field is at the farthest point of the site so there is little or no disturbance. The site shop is quite amazing, holding a very wide range at sensible prices. The swimming pool is clean and well designed, although the opening hours could be rather longer and the quality of the lifeguarding could be slightly improved.
It is difficult to find anything to really criticise about this site, even though I am not really a 'site' camper, preferring wild camping on Dartmoor.

We've stayed in one of the ready erected tents for the past 3 years and have been very impressed with the quality of this site - always spotlessly clean, staff welcoming and helpful, fantastic activities for the kids, good swimming pool and high quality entertainment. The shop is like a tardis! and has everything you might need for very reasonable prices. If you want more, Ryde and a huge tescos extra are just 15 mins max drive away
The beach is minutes to walk to and great for rock pooling, seems well kept with bins regularly emptied etc.
We did some horse riding from the campsite and enjoyed an hours hack on the beach and through some quiet lanes on well looked after horses which actually responded to prompts rather than just following each other and trotting at set places as you often get with tired riding school ponies.
I am trying to think of some negatives to balance this report - but am struggling since Nodes Point has been so consistently good! Weather could have been better. But, with the great beaches to walk on, museums, cafe's roman villas all in such easy reach, even that did not spoil our holiday. We have already booked up for next year

Good directions getting to our holiday destination via Yarmouth Ferry. Static caravan used as reception for tents and tourers so not a very good first impression. Good level pitch but not sure why paid higher premium for a 'super pitch' when we had to share a tap with next door! Dirty shower block although this was due to the high volume of users and poor layout of shower cubicles rather than not being cleaned. Did not think portaloos on a campsite were acceptable at all and felt the campsite catered more for the static caravans. Bad position for playarea for children as to far away from touring and tent (and some statics) field. Easy for children to get lost getting there. Fantastic tent field albeit on a slope but fantastic views out to sea. Great to be able to walk through footpath to the beach. The entertainment was good, wrestling and a brilliant band. Complex needed updating. Swimming Pool, warm but smaller than thought and pool dirty.
Great location, lots to do, lots to see. Well catered for children, pubs, restaurants etc.
To summarise - disappointed in site, in need of updating and reorganising the park. Fabulous location for the beach with lovely views and good sized pitches. Plenty to do all over the island.

We really liked this site, and will be going back, the touring area has pretty level pitches and quite spacious,it does get windy though. The shower block was really clean and modern with a family bath and disabled facilities. This site really is a stones throw from a lovely sandy/pebbley bay (dogs are allowed) which is so easy to access through the camping field. If you are camping you will get fantastice views over the bay, stunning!
The park has an onsite swimming pool which was very warm, small clubhouse with entertainment (get there early for a seat) and a small restaurant/bar. The childrens entertainment staff work very hard! The clubhouse could do with updating as the roof was leaking in areas but all in all staff very friendly and helpful. Small on site shop selling your basic groceries but very overpriced, there is a tescos about 10 mins drive away.
The surrounding area of the Isle of wight is stunning and you are never far from a beach or a pub! There is a small pub/restaurant on the beach if you want to walk somewhere which sells mainly fish dishes but very overpriced, we ate at the Bugle Inn just up the road which was a fantastic place with indoor and outdoor play area and the food was fab and really well priced. Amazon world makes a great rainy day out.
One last thing the site warden was great and very helpful and efficient.

Just returned from a 14 night stay at this campsite and have to say that we had a fantastic holiday. The location of this site is fabulous, the beach is right on your doorstep and because we were lucky enough to have a long spell of gorgeous hot weather we were on the beach every single day and not a penny spent on parking your car, teas/coffees, ice-creams etc because you could just pop back to your tent whenever you wanted, and it is not a hike back either!, we just couldn't believe how close the beach was. Our 3 kids aged 16, 13 and 4 loved the rock pools and crabbing and even caught a few little fish as well. The sea was lovely to take a dip and very shallow, so is safe for little ones to have a paddle.
The facilities on the site were good, the club house served good food for nights when you don't want to BBQ anymore! and reasonably priced as well. The entertainment was excellent and the atmosphere of the clubhouse was lovely.
We were a little disappointed with the swimming pool, we expected it to be a bit bigger than it was by what we had seen in the photographs in the brochure, the slides were a bit on the small side, but it was clean and had a good system of wearing coloured wrist bands so everybody got a turn on busy days. There were lifeguards on duty at all times and the water was a good temperature.
The shop was very well stocked and not too pricey either, it was open for quite long hours as well. The staff were always very welcoming and friendly.
I used the launderette twice when I was there and found it very reasonably priced too. It cost £3 per wash and only took 40 minutes to wash, just enough time to sit down on the patio seats provided and read the paper in peace!
The down sides to the site were the toilet blocks. There is a brand new toilet/shower/wash up block in the middle of the site which was the best one on site. The other ones were porta type loos/showers which were functional and with very hot water but weren't very clean/hygienic but this wasn't due to the fact that they weren't cleaned it was more due to the people using/abusing them. The sinks were blocked with tissue stuffed down plug holes, the floors in the toilets were always wet with toilet paper strewn across floors and, the soap dispensers were often empty and this was shortly after they had been refilled and the same with the toilet paper and paper hand towels, quite often there was none. But I would just like to reiterate that this was not the parks fault it was the people using it and quite often young children without adult supervision. I did say to the cleaner that he was fighting a losing battle trying to keep the floors etc clean and he agreed.
The childrens park was in need of updating, the location wasn't good either if you were in the touring field, you couldn't let your little kids hike up to the park as it was quite a trek for them and they could have easily got lost. It was more suitable for teenagers or for the kids in the static caravans as it was closer for them. The site could do with a smaller kiddies park for under 5s for the tourers.
The pitches are not that level, even on the flatter areas of the park, so expect to feel like your constantly rolling out of bed at night, but that just adds to the enjoyment of camping doesn't it?!
On the whole a lovely campsite with very friendly and helpful staff, spectacular views, beautiful location and we will definitely go back.
