This is an excellent small site 3 miles from Looe and 3 miles from Polperro. The camping/caravanning green is in the centre next to the shower block and surrounded by chalets.
There is another field but this was occupied by a children's camping group when we were there, so not sure if they put individual campers in there. There is a children's climbing frame but won't be the site for you if you want lots of activities, which was fine by us.
The owners were both very nice and helpful and the shower block was always very clean as was the washing up area. Highly recommended.

First time here, and can understand why a lot of people like the site. Reception lady was fantastic, the site is kept immaculate, the showers and other areas were spotless. Only drawback for us were the following.
Site welcomes dogs, but does not allow you to exercise on the park, so its down a dark road to find a suitable area, not very good for the last trip at night.
Whilst showers are clean and immaculate, in the height of summer when the site is packed there was always a long queue.

We stayed at this site in high season and everything seemed to be clean and well maintained despite the number of people staying there, but I feel at peak times they could do with a larger toilet / shower block.
The camping field is long and thin with a road down the centre and the pitches are a good size. The main field is mostly full of static caravans.
The location is between Looe and Polperro,it's too far to walk to either along a busy road, but the village of Pelynt is only a 10 minute walk along a quieter road and has a very good pub where I had one of the best pub meals ever.
There is no shop on site, the closest is Spar in Pelynt. We found the owners very helpful and friendly, this is a site we will revisit.

We visited in high season(mid august)and found the site to be very tidy, quiet and well organised. The lady at reception carol was very helpful and gave us a choice of pitches and left us in peace to decide where we wanted to stay.
The shower block was certainly one of cleanest of any site I have stayed at.This really is a lovely site with an almost 'old fashioned' feel.
During our stay our daughter was taken ill during the night and was admitted to hospital. On return to the site to pack up our things we were given a full refund for the remaining nights we had paid for but were unable to stay (we didn't even ask for it)!
lovely site first class management, will return.

Excellent facilities in lovely surroundings. But what made the stay special was the site managers who were very friendly and helpful.10 out 10 for this campsite. 10-15 minutes walk away is a small village with a shop pub and further down is a restaurant there is also a local bus service going to either looe or polperro so even if you don't have a car it is easy to get about
There is even a burger bar open from 6-9 which makes life easier if you have had a good long walk somewhere on the coastal footpath.
Talland bay is nearby which has beautiful views and a cafe serving tea, coffee ice cream etc
This campsite is excellent value for money and one of the best we have stayed at rain or shine!

WOW. What a brilliant site. As we told them we have 5 kids between 3 pitches they put us pitches right in front of the play area! Carol is fab, giving you so much info I don't think we visited all the places.
The Butchers in the Premier shop in the village was lush. We ordered what meat we wanted in the morning and then picked it up on our way home from the beach. At very good prices. We had dinner at the Jubilee Inn in the village very nice. And the wine to go with it! but do book, as always busy in the evenings.
The showers, loos and washing up area were very clean at all times. Massive pitches, the biggest I have seen. The info room was fab and everything in. If you go down to Looe beach always remember to take an umbrella or hire one there, as the seagulls are a big problem! Seaton Beach about 8 miles was the best for room, parking and no seagulls!
We are had a great time and will be returning again.

Just got back from a long weekend at Trelay what a lovely peaceful tranquil site. Made a mistake in following sat-nav to the site which led us up a single track lane which frightened the life out of the other half as she was driving and a learner as well.
Lovely area and site owners helpful and friendly. We were the only campers on the whole site, we took advantage of the mirrors 95p a night camping and paid £3 a night for EHU so we had three night for under £11 bargain, picked a pitch next to the toilet block.Lovely clean facilities free hot showers.
Would recommend this site handy for Looe, Polperro, with Plymouth 20 odd miles away and we went shopping in Truro which is about one hour away.
Site doesn't have a shop but there is a shop in the village about 15mins away so no problem then plus Looe is only 10mins drive and plenty of shops there.

Arrived at 7.30pm and was greeted by the owners, who were very friendly and extremely helpful. The site is quiet and very well kept, with the toilets / shower block being probably the cleanest I've ever used. Has a smashing children's play area. They even run a burger bar on site just in case you feel peckish, though get your orders in early as it shuts at 9.00pm lol! Look forward to going back to this site.

Excellent small un-commercialised site with excellent facilities, toilet block, showers and laundry all spotless and well equipped.
We were on this site last year but it has expanded since but hasn't lost any of it's charm.
Staff are friendly and helpful. There is some play equipment for children and is close to some great attractions such as Eden. The fishing villages of Looe and Polpero are also within a 2 mile radius.

Just got back from a week at Trelay. We had not booked and came upon the site by chance, after having been messed around by Polruan Holidays.
Anyway, we pulled into Trelay and met Carol and keith, the wardens. We ended up taking a pitch with electric, which was good value. The wardens are lovely people and very helpful. They basically rescued us, as we were effectively without accommodation
The site is in Pelynt, equidistant from Polperro and Looe, both very charming fishing villages. The site has excellent, clean facilities. Including disabled lavatory, laundry room, information room, payphone, freezer, washing up room. Good hot showers too!
It's a quiet peaceful site with wildlife abound. Loads of rabbits and nesting birds. Unfortunately we gassed the birds out once with our BBQ. Forcing them to leave the nest. We were mobbed by them but they did return to the nest! Rabbits broke into our tent one night and we discovered a half eaten bun as evidence!
I digress. All in all a quality site and well worth visiting.
