We went to this site for the fourth time and I think that standards are slipping. ie the lady in the reception was not as helpful as they have been in the past, my daughter came for three days and there was I diversion so she telephoned the reception to ask which was the best road to take as she was only three miles away and was told I don't know it will be trial and error.
Also the toilet blocks were not as clean as they used to be, I think that a toilet brush left in each cubicle could be useful, also there should be litter bins around the lake as this could help to keep it a little more tidy, and checking on rod licences as one person was fishing with 5 rods. All in all I don't think that I will return again

Fantastic weekend. Friendly, helpful and very efficient from booking to leaving. Great facilities for all. Not having to leave while 3pm a great advantage.
Toilets always clean. All super pitches with lots of room and not crammed in at all like some sites.
Lots to see and do nearby, local village with 2 food shops, butchers, chinese and recommended indian restautrant /takeaway. Would recommend this site to anyone.

We were recommended this site by some friends of ours who have a large RV and are VERY fussy. They weren't wrong. This is a fabulous site, well thought out and as a tourer, you don't feel like an afterthought in the world of statics.
We had a great sized pitch with electric, water and waste on the 'forest edge'. This pitch actually backed onto the dog walk, which was excellent and not too far to walk to the amenities block.
The restaurant was happy to serve us food with our dogs on the patio, though we could have eaten overlooking the lake.
The kids loved the pool.
All in all a great first venture out for our new motorhome.

We have been to this site a number of times and still rate it very highly compared to many others.
We have just returned from the Jubilee weekend away, the rates over the Bank Holidays are a little steep at around £45 per night, however if you extend your stay over a longer period you may find a night thrown in free. We initially booked from Friday night to Tuesday Night/Wednesday Morning for £188.00, which reduced the overall rate, due to one night being thrown in free. We later extended for the Thursday night for an additional £18, which is very reasonable, so check the deals going on!
Another good point is that you only have to leave site by 3pm, which avoids the morning rush to pack up and get away.
As the other reviews state, the site is immaculately kept, grass cut, borders maintained and litter cleared away.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Shower Blocks are key access and always clean and tidy with plenty of toilets and showers, in fact there are two separate Blocks situated next to each other for both men and women.
There are three play areas and an astro turf football area for the children, and the site is ideal for cycling around.
A Tennis Court is available for booking - free of charge (£10 deposit for key).
9 hole par 3 golf/pitch and putt course is also available for a charge of £5 all day (£10 deposit for key). One point though, is that ALL players must carry their own bag (no sharing allowed)
Over the Bank Holidays there is usually a barbeque organised along with face painting and music.
We did not use the Bar and Club Facilities, although there is usually a singer/Entertainer on stage.
Shop on site is well stocked with provisions and a small cafe.
The only small point we have with this site is the cost of the Swimming pool. £14 for a family of four is a little steep, however you can stay in all day if you desire and there is also free use of a steam room/ sauna if you require.
Also on site - which we did not use - are small gym facility, bowls area and pool/snooker room/ WiFi area.
All in all this site has pretty much everything for an enjoyable stay to suit most tastes.
The site itself is located between Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe, but apart from that there is not much within a close vicinity.
Excellent Site - please check it out for yourselves!

Wow, what a site. Beautifully kept large site with a mixture of residential and touring pitches.
Paid £20 per night. Each pitch is on brick hardstanding with its own water electric and waste point. A large toilet block contains all the usual facilities including piped local radio, these were kept immaculately clean. Several play areas for the children all in excellent order and with safety flooring.
Lake fishing, tennis and a bowls green for those who enjoy that sort of thing. Amusement arcade and shop adjoin the entertainment building, which has 3 bars one of which serves excellent food. But the jewel in the crown is without doubt the Tropicana, the indoor swimming pool complex, which not only has a pool but jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, the temperature is ideal for lounging and reading when not in the pool. There is an additional charge of £4 per adult per session, either morning or afternoon.
Calor gas exchange brought to your unit, now that is what I call service
It is a short walk into the village with pubs and a chip shop and buses stop right outside to Louth and Grimsby

We stumbled across this site as we were staying at one just down the road and decided to have a look on this park while we were passing, I'm glad we did,
This site certainly has the wow factor, everything about it has been well thought out it has a golf course, gym, astro turf football pitch, grass football pitch with nets, swimming pool [£4 adults £3 children] but for that money you can also use the steam room and sauna,
The fishing is included in your pitch fee, and there is a bait shop next door at oasis lakes
There is also a mini supermarket on site
Every pitch is hardstanding with sewerage point, waste water point and tap.
The shower blocks are heated and with piped music in them,
The pot wash is indoor and also heated, plenty of playgrounds for the kids
The grounds themselves were immaculately kept there wasn't a weed in site or speck of litter anywhere
The butchers and Chinese that are in walking distance were both good quality,
For facilities I have yet to meet a site that can beat this one

We have been to this site a few times and its a very good site with piped music in the shower block, The pitches are mostly superpitch style which saves you fetching water and getting rid of it. Now the bad parts, in the games rooms I noticed quite a few machines had broken down notes on them and beer, Lager in the club house was flat and expensive. There is a nice pub for meals in the village just turn right out of the camp and its on the right the carpark is at the rear. And if you fancy a trip to Mablethorpe that's about 20mins away great for the kids.

We have visited this site 4 or 5 times now, and will definitely go again.
The pitches are all fully serviced and well spaced out.
When we arrive, the kids run straight to the park while we set up. Its is such a safe feeling park for the children to run around, and there is so much for them to do.
Some evenings we go into the club, and the entertainment for the children is great.
While out and about, we came across access to the beach in the next village, Salt fleet. They also had a great pub for food.
Its a very well kept park, the toilets were very clean, and never crowded.
The only negative I can think of, is that the large supermarkets are are quite a distance, so make sure you take a bit of stock with you, though the shop on site is well equipped but a bit dearer.
Its a real good all rounder this site, and we will keep going back.

This is a grand site to stay at while touring that part of east anglia, its got super pitches, swimming pool, footy & basket pitches, golf course, dog walk.
There's ample room between each pitch, the landscaping is excellent, the toilets while we were there were very clean as an added touch there is soap/shampoo dispensers in each shower which were always topped up also, there is piped music and each block is heated.
The lake is well stocked and infused with oxygen via a pumped fountain (no stagnant lake here man).
The shop had a limited amount of stock while we were dare probably due to the time of year, food in restaurant is average and we think pricey.
As we tour most of the year we have not come across a site as nice or pleasant as lakeside. Nearly forgot the bar, they pull a good pint of Guinness also the fosters us up to scratch as is there white wine, and the staff? there just fine too, bar prices average.

2nd time we have visited lakeside and its still a nice site (clean safe and friendly).
The touring part of the sites very child friendly with plenty of playgrounds for the kids.
The swimming pools a big thumbs up you have to pay but can stay as long as you like.
The club is clean and bar prices were ok. Toilets and shower blocks spotless clean plenty of hot water.
We will be back next bank holiday we took the dog and the dog walks great and all dogs have to be on leads all the time which is a plus point
