Lovely peaceful site close to beach with several coastal walks including to Monreith bay.
Beautifully maintained with friendly welcome and lots of useful tips on where to go if you ( like we ) are on the SWC 300 tour.
Thankyou.

This is a lovely tranquil site, our go to place when we want just chill out and relax, we have had two weekends here already this year and we are just back today from a week's holiday and can honestly say I have never been to such a nice, quiet and relaxing site.
Pauline the owner is a complete gem and along with her son Gordon you will receive a warm and friendly welcome.
Pauline and Gordon keep the grounds and gardens beautiful, clean and tidy and are always happy to share their local knowledge and advise on places to visit, walks etc.
The toilet and shower area is kept immaculate.
The surrounding area is beautiful and great for walking, apart from the occasional passing car the loudest thing you will hear is birds and other wildlife.
The night sky from the caravan site is something to behold due to the lack of light pollution.
My wife and I are looking forward to many more relaxing visits here.

Small and friendly, grounds are well tended,
Very clean toilets and shower. I couldn't get the shower temperature to go up, so didn't use as it was barely warm.

We went there over a sunny bank holiday weekend, and despite everywhere else being busy this site was very quiet.
There aren't many pitches, and there isn't much nearby - it's about a 3 mile walk to Port William and the nearest restaurant (which was closed!).
But the owners were amazing, very friendly and helpful, as were the other campers. It was the nicest "atmosphere" site we've ever been to. The whole site was immaculate and well-kept.
If you're looking for a quiet, well-kept place to stay in this part of the country, then this site is perfect. We'll definitely be back.

Very peaceful and quiet site, the hard standings are excellent being concrete base and not the invasive and unpleasant chippings that most sites use.
Toilets are basic but clean and accessible.
The grass is kept beautifully with pretty gardens roundabout.
The owners are very helpful and happy to pass on information
Great area to explore, with stunning scenery, good birdwatching and quiet roads making it easy to get about
Easy to recommend this site to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway

A well maintained, close cut grass with no cuttings to invade your unit, several flat hardstandings and lovely garden borders make this site very pleasing. The owners were exceedingly helpful and chatty.
A short walk away is a shingle/sandy beach, cliffs with nesting seabirds and golf. Gavin Maxwell is noted with an otter monument. If you want peace and quiet this location is ideal.
For dogs, the beach and farm track up the side of the site take care of walks. Galloway forest park near Newton Stuart stretches your legs either walking or cycling
