We had 2 wonderful nights at Knock School Caravan park, way too short, we'll definitely be going back! It has a great location and a beautiful situation with fantastic hosts.
We were given our choice of where we wanted to pitch our tent with the only instructions to be sure we weren't too close to the other campers-perfect!
Our 4 year old loved the site and enjoyed running around in the soft grass and admiring the flowers.
The toilet block and shower room were clean and always available when needed. Can't wait until next summer to go for a longer visit!

This is a lovely small, quiet site, with well-kept grounds. The facilities are clean and basic, with hot water and a free shower.
It is just a short walk from the sheltered, stony beach. We love to cycle around the area, visiting lovely and historic places like Isle of Whithorn and Wigton.
The skies are really dark at night and you can see lots of stars.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful site in Private garden which takes 10 tourers/motorhomes and a few tents. Owners friendly and helpful.
10 minute walk to beach and St Medans gold course. 5 mile drive to nearest shop, pub etc.
Facilities basic but clean. Perfect place for peace and quiet and beautiful scenery. A special hidden gem.

Welcoming, peaceful, spotless. That is my summary of this wonderful find. By happy chance we decided to call in and enquire on our way through this area. Such a peaceful place (filter out the light traffic on the nearby road and you have tranquillity ).
The facilities were always spotless when we used them. Shower was free and hot water was plentiful. The grounds were so well kept. If you are looking for somewhere without fuss in an unspoilt part of Scotland, this is it.
Walks galore on the doorstep using the useful network of 'core paths' nearby. Local shop at Port William with a fab sandwich bar/coffee shop nextdoor. Very quiet clean beaches nearby.
Simply an ideal getaway from it all (our EE mobile was virtually useless)
Our hosts were very welcoming and a delight to chat to. Thank you for a very surprising bank holiday weekend! Perfection

Excellent site just as we expected from reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk. Owners very nice and friendly most helpful.
Very good concrete hard standing with lush lawns and pretty garden.
Good access roads from all directions. Best to bring all provisions or as we did 25 mile very scenic coastal drive to Stranraer for supermarkets. Fuel in port william 2. 5mls.
Also tasty bites do fish n chips Fri sat 5 to 7 pm. Very quiet and peaceful.
Lovely coast scenery and wild life. Lots sea fishing not many catching when asked lol.
We will definitely be back and for Scotland in august no midges

This really is a super little site with the pitches set in manicured gardens. The facilities are quite basic, just one ladies and one gents shower and toilet each, however they are both spotlessly clean.
The owners are very helpful and friendly and should you want to take a holiday with non camping/caravanning friends there is a holiday cottage to let.
One of the beauties of this site is the very sheltered and quiet location just a walk away from beaches and a gold course.
The Steam Packet in Isle of Withorn is a great place to eat, with delicious local seafood and fresh crabs can be ordered from the little shop near the harbour.
For a lunchtime treat go no further than the community cafe for a coffee and tray bake as well as light snacks. If you are looking for a traditional seaside break, this is the place to be.
Please note that there is no wifi at this site, but there is free wifi at both the cafe and The Steam Packet.

This site is a gem. Not too large nor too small and with pitches well spaced. It is like a large well-maintained garden. Although near a main road this is not a problem as there is not much traffic during the day and virtually none at night.
There is a small toilet block and a shower is available for 10p. (it seems never-ending!). A huge strength is its proximity to three beaches. A 10 minute walk past the golf club brings one to a small car park next to a sandy beach particularly nice for children and for swimming. The more energetic can walk up the hill behind the site (Fell of Barhullion, 136 metres) for splendid views.
Cycling is excellent, there being so little traffic on the roads. The nearest shop is Port William (3 miles) though we found the Costcutter at Whithorn to be better stocked and well priced.
Price in 2014 is £14. 50 with hook-up.

We drove past the camp site and we both thought it looked really nice. We turned round in the village and went back. So pleased we did, even if it was only for 1 night. The owner was very friendly and helpful we felt welcomed as if we had been there before.
The facilities were adequate, very clean and the shower cost only 10p!
I strongly recommend this site, we would love to return hopefully in the near future.

This is a little gem of a site with four hard standing pitches and electric hook ups. The facilities are kept nice and clean and the grass is well trimmed.
It seems a crime to share this as one of the really nice things about this site is how quiet and peaceful it is, only a short walk down the hill to a fantastic beach and the widlife is stunning.
The folk who run the site are very friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this site to anyone who likes peace, quiet and tranquillity

This is a gorgeous site in well maintained grounds with basic but very clean facilities.
The site is tiny but the owners are welcoming and friendly and the site is ideal for touring the local area including St Ninians cave and the surrounding beaches.
We are normally not keen on small sites as it can feel like you are intruding on the owners private home but this site has totally changed our opinion.
The owner was welcoming and keen to help you get to know the area to get the most out if our stay.
We will be back.
