What a lovely site in rural Somerset. One thing that I loved about the site was the complete lack of noise, in fact the loudest noise I heard was birdsong, closely followed by rain unfortunately, the site coped well with this.
The facilities on site are sufficient with clean wash areas and clean toilets. Although there are only two showers for each gender there was never a need to queue. My only gripe was that the showers were of the push button timed type, by the time warm water came out the flow had stopped, very annoying.
I can't really think of anything else to moan about, the site cleanliness was good, there is a small shop open twice a day. Apparently there is a small swimming pool but when my daughter made enquires she was told it's only open at peak summer times.
The location is good, you're only 15 minutes a way from the big supermarkets in Bridgwater and 30 minutes from the coast. Brean sands is about an hour away.

What a fab campsite in a stunning location and at such a great price, facilities are great and clean and plots not squashed together and ample water and waste.
There is a small indoor pool, play equipment, free putting and donkeys. Was lovely that they have their own water wheel all in all fantastic for kids.
There was no problem with noise on a night as owners keep a check on that.
The owners are friendly and very helpful. We had a great week there visiting the area including kilve beach which is 15 mins away, very pebbly but fantastic for fossils.
Would love to go back again and would and have recommended this site.

What a wonderful Caravan Park, such value for money. The toilet block and showers are excellent and very clean with concrete paths which are great when it rains!
The site has three sections which make for a friendly family atmosphere with none of the overcrowding found on larger Caravan Parks. The owners make everyone feel 'at home' and nothing is too much trouble. The children enjoyed the play area and took advantage of the free putting green with free loan of clubs and ball.
The ducks, swans and donkeys give a real country feeling. The children cannot wait to come back and we have booked another week later in the year.
There are so many places to visit from this Caravan Park, but plenty of space if you want to stay put and play with the children.

Lovely site in a beautiful area
Nice toilet block kept very very clean at all times, lovely hot water.
The shop is not open all day but there is a bell which when rung brings the owner up immediately.
Our children loved it. Parents and their children enjoy fishing with their nets in the streams, and visiting the donkeys in their field.
Has electric hook ups, washing machine and tumble dryer, and washing up area.Dogs are welcome, good dog walking area. Gardens are kept beautifully, lots of flowers.
Lovely site for families with children of all ages and also quiet enough for older people.

Very pretty site, very quiet - did seem to be mostly caravans and not many campers or people of the younger generation, which was a shame.
Our two children aged 5 and 3 had lots of space to play in front of the tent although no other young children there for them to play with.
Small shop was very pleasant although opening hours were very restricted, and children disappointed that it only stocked small tubs of ice cream and not 'proper ice lollies!'.
I felt that there should have been fencing around the steams and boating lake, as there were far too many opportunities for children to fall in water.
Think this site is probably more suited to people who want a very quiet holiday.
Would not recommend this site to young families.

A pleasant site with a high percentage of seasonal pitches. Because we were at the end of the season many of the pitches were vacant and the surface where the long term awnings had been pitched was muddy.
The site was quiet, well managed with a clean and well maintained toilet block. I would imagine that the facilities would be under pressure when the site was full at peak season.
Access is a little exciting with a large van but, so long as you approach the 360 degree turn at a sensible speed, there should be no problem.
The dog walking facilities are excellent.
Overall good value for money in a pleasant area.

Very quiet site when we stayed - lots of seasonal vans but they were mainly empty, probably as it was mid week.
Site is divided into 3 smaller areas which gives a nice feeling of not being on a massive camp. Toilets / showers were perfect - clean and fairly new looking. Showers were push button type one push for about 20 seconds - and a sign saying not to push more than 10 times or the next person would get a cold shower!
A little strange on the washing up - needing a 30p token for hot water, when showers and sinks in toilets had plenty of hot water. Token available from shop - but it was closed whilst we were there.
Overall a good site, appears to cater mainly to seasonal but we were made to feel very welcome too.

We had no idea what to expect at Currypool, but I must say our expectations were exceeded. We had a lovely welcome from the owner on Sunday afternoon, and she was very laid back and helpful. She explained everything well, and our pitch was lovely with a great view over trees and a reservoir.
The location is very rural and peaceful, exactly what we wanted. We went Sunday to Tuesday before school holidays, and it was friendly and peaceful.
We loved the donkeys, the walks and the Quantock hills and villages. The toilets and showers were immaculately clean, but I can imagine on a busy weekend you may have to queue. We did not object to paying 30p to wash up. All the showers and hot water in the toilets was free. Good bins and waste areas, and we were very near the water supply.
The shop was small but perfectly formed. They did not staff it during the quiet days we were there, but said we only had to ring the bell anytime and they would come down, which they did.
We liked it so much we have booked to go again next month! We don't have children, and I guess it would not be suitable to keep children entertained every day of a holiday. But we loved it!

We originally booked to stay in our tourer at this site for 4 nights and ended up extending it to 9 nights!.
Currypool mill is such a lovely quiet site which provided us with basic but adequate facilities. Staff were extremely helpful, grounds well kept, toilet and shower facilities were again basic but perfectly clean and fine. Didnt find push button showers an issue.
Large playing field for children with park, pitch n putt and goal posts.
Washing machine and tumble dryer on site.
Good water and waste facilities.
Campsite divided into 3 sections, all seemed to have good size pitches and fairly good open space around vans/tents. One section is a lot smaller than other, this is the section located on the entrance to the park and opposite the shop, would probably say the other two sections are nicer.
Small shop on site which opens for an hour or so in morning and then at night provided a good choice of items including fresh bread, strawberrys, bacon, burgers, sausage and lots of day to to day produce, also sweets for children - but you will need to be prepared to travel to nearby cannington or bridgewater for serious shopping! Campsite is located down a country road,(narrow in parts), but provided us with an excellent touring base.
We would stay here again as this site represented excellent value for money as long as you are looking for peace and quiet with no frills.

I was on this gem of a site from mid May to Mid July and can't praise it highly enough. I can only repeat all of the positives that have been submitted previously, i.E. The friendliness of the owners, the cleanliness of the toilet and washing facilities, the peacefulness of the site, the grass being regularly maintained, the fresh produce in the shop, etc.
The cost per night is exceptional and as a caravan 'tourer', this site provided me with the the 'best value for money' to date.
