Our family has stayed at this site initially camping and more recently with a caravan. Always gutted when it's home time and can never wait to go back! Although we do love Cornwall anyhow, since finding this gem of a site we visit more than ever. We have 18 nights booked in 2014 already across 2 trips, and it's a 440 mile journey each way for us!
Site has 2 fields each with its own facilities block. Always spotless and checked by staff throughout the day/evening. Excellent location with great views up and down the coastline. Fantastic Watergate bay a short walk away.
The site can be exposed to coastal winds but that's what happens been so close to the sea.
The owners and staff do a great job managing the site. Friendly, welcoming, entertaining and will help in any way. Keep up the good work :o)

Fantastic site just up from Watergate Bay. Facilities were spotless, cleanest I've seen and constantly checked by the hardworking site assistants. In the ladies there is a hairdryer for use (20p)and a full length mirror. A laundry room is available (again spotless) £3. 50 per wash/£1 for dryer. All of the staff were amazingly friendly and made a point of speaking to you. Although there was not a dog walking area the local lane walks were sufficient. When you arrive you are taken to your pitch and advised where your boundary lines are. The site access has a barrier which is locked at 11pm. Didn't see any play areas for young children. We have two grown up sons and they were off surfing most days, Watergate bay is a short walk away, dogs are allowed on this beach. We will definitely be returning.

A small level site with views out to sea. We are members of the Camping & Caravanning Club and also senior citizens so were given preferential rates. As with all these club sites the facilities and staff were excellent. Pitches are marked out and one of the site staff will show you where to go and assist you in placing your unit. The site is a short walk from the cliff tops and within easy reach of the beach.

Fantastic site, would definitely return. Quiet, clean, well maintained, level pitches, very helpful and friendly wardens, beautiful location and views. If you like lots of stuff going on this is not for you. 5 min walk to coastal path and then another 15 mins on to the beautiful Watergate bay - a beautiful stretch of sand complete with luxury hotel and trendy beach bar. We have 2 teenagers who loved the beach, beach bar and newquay but there isn't any entertainment or play area from what I can remember.

An excellent site. It is simple - no playground, no bar, no shop etc - but that is not necessarily a bad thing, and what it does, it does well. The pitches are nice sizes and the site is very well kept. Shower block is immaculate. They sell the essentials in reception. Brilliant location, the walk to Watergate Bay is lovely. Nice views from the site.
Yes it is windy but there is a reason there are so many wind farms in Cornwall.
It is right on the flightpath for Newquay airport but it was actually quite entertaining seeing all the historic planes from the new Classic Air Force museum coming in to land, it was never a problem to us.
Highly recommended.

We have just returned from another week at this site which is well organised and a pleasure to holiday at.
The facilities are very well maintained by the wardens daily.
The coastal footpath to Watergate and to Mawgan Porth is a gem with views of the sea and beach.
We encountered some very windy weather on our stay but the Wardens worked their hardest looking after potentially stray tents and awnings.
These guys work hard to offer pleasant, relaxed surroundings - so a big thank you to the Managers and the Assistants

We spend two weeks at the end of July and start of August at this site.
It was a return visit having spent 3 weeks there last summer (2011).
If you read my review from 2011 you will note that my only complaint for the site was the then current site managers.
I’m glad to say that the site is now under new management, and what a joy they were.
This year, camping with friends again, they went out of their way to ensure we were parked as close as possible.
The site was spotless, toilets and facilities clean and all perfectly operational.
The water pressure can be a problem if all the showers are in use but not by any means a major issue.
The location and surrounding area are perfect. With a 15 min walk via the cliff tops to what can only be described as one of the best beaches anywhere, especially if you are into surfing.
We were even blessed with excellent weather for the two weeks, you only need to prepare for windy conditions as it blows in, even on a good day, from the sea, which can be seen from the site.
An excellent place and an excellent time, we shall be returning again next year.

We’ve just returned from a 10 night holiday to the Tregurrian C&CC site and what a site it is. First and foremost are the managers Paul & Angie, their tireless commitment to keeping the site spotless has to be commended.
Nothing was ever too small or too big for them. They always had a smile and there personal approach was excellent. They have clearly worked very hard to get the site to the condition it is in now and it clearly shows.
If there was to be an award for C&CC managers then Paul & Angie would certainly get our vote. Of all the sites we have stayed at (this being our 9th), they were by far the nicest, friendliest, hardworking managers we have come across.
Now for the site itself – what a superb location, only ½ mile away from Watergate Bay. Although some reviews have said that the site if on a cliff top, that’s a bit misleading. It’s actually set quite away back from the cliff top (which is actually better).
The website states that there are 90 pitches. That being the case, for what is actually a relatively small site it never seemed cramped. The site is spilt into two locations, separated by a quiet country lane.
A camping field with the jumbo pitches and no hook-up and a main field where most of the caravans and a few tents go, each with their own shower/toilet blocks. We opted for the main field (pitch 40). The shower/toilet facilities were as is expected from the C&CC, spotless, however there were issues with the water pressure in the washing up area, which was soon sorted out by Paul.
Some reviews have said that the site is not child friendly, we have to disagree. Admittedly there is not playground, but who needs that when the glorious sandy beach is only 10 minutes away (by walking). There was plenty of room for our 3 year old to ride her bike and have a run around in safety. Paul & Angie certainly came across as child friendly, they were always ready to stop and chat to our daughter.
We were very fortunate that the 10 days we had away were fantastic, very sunny and very hot, but beware this site is quite exposed and when the wind did pick up (our first and last nights) we got battered. Fortunately our Outwell tent survived.
In short this site is in an excellent location with great facilities, run by outstanding staff. We would definitely recommend this site to anyone and will return again, without a doubt.

Just returned from this lovely site. After a very long drive we arrived and were shown to our pitch by the guys who were very very helpful. This is a great site albeit a bit windy - be warned - and as ever the C&CC sites are sparklingly clean.
The only downside (if there is one) is that there aren't any facilities for children and they are discouraged from doing anything other than playing with a 'swingball'.
Watergate Bay beach is a 10 minute walk along the coastal path (were advised not to use the main road to walk along as it's quite dangerous) and is a huge beach with lots of 'surf dudes'.
During our stay most families seemed to be like us 'out during the day' and it really only got busier at tea time when everyone got back from the beach.
The facilities were great although I have to say the showers in the smaller field across the road from the main field seemed hotter and nicer even though there are only 2 showers there.
Would definitely visit again. The sunsets from the coastal path are spectacular!

We stayed in the small field across the country lane from the main camp site (this road isn't busy most of the traffic comes to the Site), we had a basic pitch. The check in was quick and easy, and we were shown to our pitch and given advice on how to position the tent, to lessen the wind impact!
The site is close to the coast and is up high therefore it is windy most of the time, however we didn't find it too bad in August.
The field has it's own amenities block, which consists of separate mens and ladies toilets and showers, and a room to wash up dishes.
The only problem we came across was the water pressure in the shower dropped and the block was closed but this was rectified pretty quickly.
This field was lovely and quiet. We would camp here again.
