My wife and I agree with everything the previous reviewer put, the entrance to the site and the drive down the tree lined avenues are lovely. The touring pitches are as said hard standing with adequate space for anything other than the biggest of vans etc, all the touring pitches are are in small cul-de-sacs with pitch spaces for 16 vehicles. We had a standard pitch but full service pitches are available.
There are two bars/venues should you wish one for all the entertainment and a separate bar/restaraunt with food served all day.
There is a regular hourly bus service that drives through the site to take you into Skegness this is operated by Stagecoach so is not a complimentary service but at £3. 30 return per adult or £10. 00 for a family ticket is not too bad.
The biggest downside was the shower and water facilities, men's showeroom only had had four showers, I tried three and all were equally poor in water pressure and temperature, despite being fairly recently modernised they didn't look as though they were cleaned more than once a day.
If Park Resorts were to just invest a little more in the facilities it would certainly be a park to remember for all the right reasons.

As others have said here - the site looks impressive on first arrival. Easy access and nice one-way system down the main road means no reversing! However, there is no pull-in for tourers so you can get into reception. You have to estimate where to pull up without annoying other drivers.
Excellent location for visiting Skegness or the fantastic Gibraltar Point - peace and tranquility in bucket loads. Site is near to Morrisons, Tesco and umpteen fast food outlets.
Pitches are large. We had a mains hardstanding and there was enough room for the van, the awning, the car, another car and a bit of grass to sit on/bbq if you felt the urge.
The power for our pitch was through a hedge. Not a problem, but confusing.
The pitches are level but the grass part gets very worn and uneven which can result in large puddles if it rains.
Clubhouse/facilities are great if you want evening entertainment for the kiddies - Sparky and the Krew Club are there and it's dancing city. Take away food, shop, swimming pool. Everything catered for.
The down side -
The chemical disposal is the WORST I've encountered. It has no flush and a tap that splatters everything everywhere. Not good. Coupled with that, this area, despite being covered, suffered from rain flooding and it was not cleaned once in the whole week we were there. The grey water disposal was a little better but again, no evidence of being cleaned. As toilet waste disposal is the worst job of the holiday, it doesn't want to be made MORE unpleasant than it needs to be. !
The men's shower block looked reasonably clean but had that awful pervading smell of a public urinal which made it most unpleasant to use. Coupled with this, there were only three showers - one being the disabled. I got to the point where I showered in the van - which I'd rather not do. The worst showers I've used. Some I'd walk in barefoot. These? No way.
If Park Resorts attended to these small details, they would have a superb site here, worthy of a revisit from anyone. As it stands, I wouldn't go back.

We has a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children stayed at Southview caravan park for 2 weeks with a touring caravan. First impressions were great as the entrance to the site via hotel on left and security barrier to main site. We had a electric hard stand pitch with drainage, water, aerial point which is a bonus. The shower block and toilets were ample and clean at all times, never overcrowded. The facilities on site were fabulous, 9 hole golf course, 2 fishing lakes, swimming pools, park, few restaurants and takeaways, evening entertainment. And many other things to do. Skegness town centre 10 min drive or 20 min on cycle track. Traditional look to town with funfair, markets, restaurants, supermarkets. Only negative of Skegness, there is not a lot of places to day visit within 30-40 miles radius, but would recommend a week stay at this site

Lovely site as you come in, very presentable.
We opted for a Electric plus pitch, which comes with water and grey water drainage. Drains were blocked around our caravan and stank, but luckily the wind was blowing away from the van. A chap came on the 2nd day and started rodding them, it didn't help! Still, the touring area is very nice (where I was) though it must be said that there's a lot of seasonal pitches, the majority of which looked very tatty.
The entertainment for kids and pool etc isn't up to the same standard as a Haven, to be honest I think the site is more geared up towards couples. Some may see that as a benefit rather than a drawback!
Despite what people say, I actually like Skeggy. Last summer I did Bournemouth and Skegness, the former being a bit of a dump!
One more thing, I wish commercial sites with static vans would stop ramming sales of them down my throat! Everywhere I look, there's adverts for them or someone trying to sell them to me. If I want a static (no chance!) then I'll let you know!

This park is very large and definitely has the wow factor when you drive in. Beautiful lakes and fountains, waterfalls and an abundance of geese! The good points; Great location with good bus service every hour, our pitch was a good size and hard standing close to a very well appointed toilet block consisting of 2 family shower rooms, 1 bath and 2 single shower cubicles in mens and ladies, lockable wash rooms and plenty of toilets! excellent laundry facilities and 2 washing up areas at the rear of the laundry.
Large club house, and excellent swimming pool, now the bad points; toilets/showers were often very dirty, but that is probably due to other campers who didn`t care! Very bad drainage smell around toiet area which could be smelt in our van! Club house was incredibly expensive for drinks and lack of seats at peak times, very little seen of the characters which our girls wanted to see and very cleverly the times which they appear are not shown! Swimming at peak times was a nightmare, you had to arrive at quarter past the hour to fight over wristbands required to enter as only 70 people allowed in at one time and you were given 45 mins to swim but the changing rooms were fit to burst with one lot in and the last lot out, my advice change first.
My mother stayed in the hotel on site for 2 nights at a very high price of £128. 00 without breakfast! we ate a meal in the Orangery restaurant which was poor quality, small portions and with my dry steak pie came a dollop of SMASH not mash absolutely disgusting for a 4 star hotel, I would not waste your money here.
Park restaurant was much better.
Overall, apart from some gripes this is a good site, well laid out with lots of facilities and we would recommend a stay here.

We arrived at noon which is the time it said on the website to be told we couldn't really get on til 2pm but as you have to vacate by 10am the pitch should be empty but if it wasn't come back to reception!
Site is mostly static caravans but the touring area is well located away from the bar /nightly entertainment area but next door to the amusement /restaurant area.
Good sized pitches and well laid out. Had hardstanding for car and caravan and grass for awning with electric hook up for £28 a night including all the entertainment passes and access to the pool/gym etc.
Good playground areas (2 at least), pond with ducks and a golf course are located here. Site is a few miles away from the seafront but walkable in 20mins or so.
We took the car as we have 3 kids and paid £2 for a couple of hours parking which was fine.

I spent a week on this site and its a very good site apart from when it rains as it did the usual happens the awning gets flooded it did the same last time we went there. The drinks are expensive but the carvery was good and at £5. 95 with a free sweet on Weds its not a bad deal.
The toilet block are clean and now have a bath fitted as well but some of the sink taps needs new washers fitted as water spills over.
If you like the odd tipple go down to the ship pub about 1 mile from the site heading towards Skegness just across from the traffic lights they do a buy one get one free between 4. 00 to 6. 00

Visited southview in the school holidays. 2 children one 5 and one 8 and 2 adults. All I can say is exceptional place. Decent sized pitch - we were on touring site opposite the park, which was great for the kids. Toilet block was clean and fresh, even a bath cubical. Washing up area is ok, indoors too. Launderette was evenly priced. Entertainment was good, both kids enjoyed it a lot. Evening entertainment was good too, better than haven I would say. Will return sometime soon.

Just spent a weekend on this fabulous site. Very friendly reception and everywhere is immaculate.
We stayed on a full service pitch 8m x 6m for 2 nights for £26 total which we felt was a bargain as we had free use of the indoor swimming pool, and nightime entertainment in the club.
On Sunday we had a very nice carvery in the restaurant for a reasonable £5. 95.
Our son used both playparks and small amusement arcade and had a great time. Toilets and shower blocks again very clean.
Bus into Skegness leaves from the site every hour.
We will definitely be returning soon.

Great site, 26 of us went for my 40th, some had a static vans, some were in the hotel and some were camping, the staff very friendly and helpful.
Toilet block is a good quality with lots of room in the showers and a nice dry area for getting dressed, there is also a bath which is good for the kids.
Club is great for the kids.
Good play areas for the children
The pool is ok but does get very busy.
Golf is good value if that's your thing.
We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment but poppy's restaurant about 500yds up the road is very good value for money.
Skegness is about a 10min drive with everything you would expect from a busy seaside town.
Overall a good site and we will be returning.
