Just arrived back after 5 nights stay, the pitches are all hard standing tarmac with the super pitches block paved, nice and clean, not too far for water and elsan points, toilets are warm and roomy with background music but the floor was wet all the time, on site there is a basic shop, arcade, star bar which has children's entertainment which our 4yo loved followed by bingo and then games or a singer, also they do food which you can eatin or takeaway, the leisure complex has it own bar and food, adult only snooker tables, swimming pool was nice and warm, no charge for the use of the pool, there is also golf and fishing on site although I didn't use them so cant comment.
Overall a very enjoyable stay if weather is not good you don't have to go of site to find things to do. Will definitely be going back.
Just look out for the ducks getting into your awning.

Very impressive site. Entrance fantastic!
Hotel is on the left, statics on the right hand side. You then come to reception on the left, lots of space to park while you check in, very quick and prompt service.
Touring field hardstanding and quite empty at this time of year toilets are warm clean and spacious.
You are able to use all the facilities of the hotel, club and bar restaurant. This gives you lots or choice.
Club had entertainment on first for children then a singer. Also has a big screen and shows sports events. Swimming pool large and warm. Showers were cold!
Would revisit and recommend caters for everyone.
Skegness was very festive!
Good holiday enjoyed by all of us would go again!

We have just returned from 2 weeks at Southview. It is a fantastic site. We arrived the week after the terrible floods in the Midlands and there were a lot of flooded pitches and standing water. We had a super pitch which is block paving (the other pitches are tarmac) so we put the awning on the blocks and were able to peg it between bricks. Usually the awning goes on the grass but it was all too waterlogged. The first week was quite wet with one day of continuous torrential rain which flooded our pitch again . However the wardens were handing out wooden pallets to put over the large puddles and muddy areas which helped. We didn't use the swimming pool as it was too expensive. (it is in the leisure centre on site) It would have cost us about £13 (there are 6 of us) and it was quite a small pool with no extras so we didn't think it particularly good value. The site is very close to Skegness and we were pleasantly surprised to find that dogs were allowed on the beach (we went to the North Beach and parked just past Natureland). The dog walk on site was ok but there is a much better one if you walk along Beech Way in the park following the footpath signs. You briefly cross into another park (Roach Farm) and then you come out on the edge of a field where you cross a bridge and the footpath continues towards Burgh Le Marsh. We didn't go to the club much we spent more time in the amusements. There is a big Tesco in Skegness and a Morrisons so we only used the site shop for milk or bread if we ran out. There is a small playground which was good. Better for younger children. It was quite wet and boggy in places while we were there. The site is lovely and flat, perfect for bikes and it is really big so even a cycle ride round the site takes quite a while. The toilet block was impressive. There are 3 large shower cubicles and 2 smaller ones. It was cleaned every day which was good as there were some people who made no effort at all to keep it nice. Someone had ripped a toilet seat off one day and it was left lying in pieces on the floor but this was all mended by the next morning. We had a brilliant time and would recommend the site. We did try to move to a pitch that didn't have so much standing water but they were all booked, the pitches had dried after a couple of sunny days anyway. The A and B pitches were least affected by the flooding. The site is well maintained and really good value for money. We had mains water, mains drainage and electric hookup and it was still one of the cheapest sites we looked at. We would stay here again.

We also went up Southview during the back end of the floods and to be quite honest we found reception staff very helpful. There is certainly a problem with the touring pitches getting flooded and the site was half empty when we went but some of the pitches were completely under water which the ducks loved :o). We was given a hardstanding super pitch due to the other side being flooded. We found the toilets clean only problem was that people were smoking in the loos which is a bit of a shame. The club is ok but found the entertainment a bit old style for our taste and the chairs aren't particularly comfortable again a bit old fashioned. Other than that we liked the camp and would use it again.

We arrived at the site on Saturday afternoon the entrance looked very impressive with the two water fountains. We then had two days of heavy rain. On waking up on the Monday morning we found our pitch had turned into a large duck pond. Walking around the site it was clear we were not the only ones who were flooded. On attending at the reception ( which was full of people complaining about the same problem) I asked what could be done to help us. The receptionist told us that they were unable to clear the water as their pump had broken and they would not be able to get one until the Tuesday (due to the bank holiday). She also stated that we were warned about the rain. This was our first time on the site, on speaking to people who had been before we were told that this was a re-occurring problem with pitches flooding. Tuesday arrived the pitch was still under water, but at least we thought we would get pumped out? Wrong! we were then told that no pump would be coming and the only option was either move pitch (which we did) or leave.
Some people left, I helped a neighbouring couple move, on doing so we were laughed at by some of the ground staff. In all my twenty some years of touring I have never received such poor service. I am not trying to blame the Park for the weather but at the staff particularly on reception were less than helpful. It is frustrating as the park is clearly aware of the problem. I believe the flooding could easily be solved with an electric dirty water pump which could be connected to the sites electric services on the pitches, and the water pumped into the sites waste water drains. I did suggest this to a member of the ground staff.
The toilet and shower block was not as clean as it could have been. There was no soap in the dispenser, and no toilet brushes. When this was mentioned to the staff they said that things got taken so they didn't replace them. This could be due to teenagers using the toilets as a place to hang around. I'm sorry to go on but this needs to be brought to peoples attention. I hope others who were there take the time to write a review. I think it is obvious to say that I will not be returning to Southview in the future.

Arrived Saturday for one night only, 2 adults 2 kids and it only cost me £12 what a bargain. Site was spot on Swimming pool was nice and warm (have to pay to use) and kids disco at night, although room was a little smoky but that will soon change come the summer. Showers were also fine. Overall spot on and only 5 minutes from sea front.

This was the 1st time we visited this site and we loved it, the fountains at the entrance and the hotel make the site look exquisite, but the staff are lovely and friendly, we even found storage for our caravan while we were down there just over the road so we could go again (we booked on for xmas). The toilets were amazing fantastically clean, but some one must have damaged them before we arrived, there was no damage when we got there but the site was offering £100 reward if anyone had seen anyone. That's a 1st for a camp site but all in all the site is amazing, will definitely be making the most of the caravan next season and going to South View.

This was our first visit to this site and I have to say we were very impressed. Foundations and duck ponds greet you as you arrive, and continue throughout the park. Good size swimming pool and well designed with a lovely toddler pool. The hotel attached to the site is very nice and we ate in the orangery one night. My only concern would be that the shop was a little poor and the bistro etc seemed quite small. As we were out of season, this was not a problem, but I could image it might be during peak. Overall rating of 10/10

Just arrived back from this site. We really enjoyed it the site is static and touring. There Is a hotel and also a leisure centre, a restaurant that you can get a take away pizza from. It is a lovely site with lakes and ponds all around with resident ducks + geese.
The toilets showers were all tiled from top to bottom and there was the radio playing all day. The site was clean and we walked all round looking at the different areas for static caravans. Would recommend this site and will be going back again
