Lovely quiet site, meticulously maintained by the owners who clearly take great pride in it. Child-free camping is a delight! Everyone who was staying there when we were there was unexpectedly quiet, even groups of several families seemed to be overcome by the serenity of the place, and held conversations in whispers at 8pm.
Toilets and showers were clean and well maintained and there was lots of tourist information posted around for ideas of things to do.
Only a short drive away from the Long Mynd, but far enough off the beaten track to feel quiet and secluded.
Lots of units seemed to disregard the 11am check-out time, which was an added bonus as we felt no pressure to get the tent down to a deadline.
Only suggestion I would make to improve it would be to put a freezer in the washing-up area, where there is space and power sockets for one, for ice pack freezing. The owners do offer ice pack freezing, but it is in their own house, and we were far too British to bother them on a daily basis to drop off and retrieve them.

Just back from 4 nights on this this wonderful, peaceful, adults only site. The owners were helpful and friendly but not at all intrusive. We had a choice of several places to pitch our tent. The units were well spaced out, and even when the site got busy, it didn't feel crowded.
The 4 toilets and 3 showers (all unisex but in 5 separate cubicles as follows: 1: shower, toilet, handbasin. 2: shower, handbasin; 3: shower, toilet, handbasin; 4: toilet, handbasin; 5: (a wooden shed) - toilet and cold water only handbasin) were always reasonably clean and we only had to queue for a short while for showers at busy times (high season weekend!) The washing up facilities were under cover and there was plenty of local information provided, both in the washing up area and in the porch of the owner's house.
This site wasn't our first choice, as we wanted to be closer to The Long Mynd, but we're so glad that we stayed here due to the peaceful, relaxing nature of the place. Everyone on the site was respectful of others and there was minimal noise at any time, not just after 11pm. It was worth the 20 minutes extra driving to get to the hills!
Craven Arms, a 5 minute drive away, has a fabulous supermarket, with everything you could possibly need, including some camping spares! It is open until 8pm, so very handy for picking up provisions on the way back to the site after a day out.
The village also has a good chip shop (we used it) and a Chinese/pizza take away (we didn't try this, but many others on the site did!).
My only suggestion for improvement to this super campsite would be the addition of a small freezer in the washing up area so that those of us without electric hook up could freeze ice packs and collect them at any time without having to keep disturbing the owners.
If you want peace and quiet, I can thoroughly recommend Greenaway, but if you like to party or have loud music, go elsewhere.

Lovely site, plenty of space nice views.
So much to see in the area 10 days was not long enough, lots of National Trust and English Heritage properties to visit plus good walking.
The visitor centre in Cravens arms is worth a visit with a nice cafe, meadow walk, river walk and lots of good information about the area and suggested walks.
Shower and toilets were good just need some hooks as nowhere to put or hang anything only the door handle. The camping pods looked good and always busy. A very quiet peaceful site.

We stayed here on a very hot sunny day in June. It was close to a lot of places of interest and was a very pleasant site with nice planting between rows of pitches which were a good size.
The site owners were very laid back and pleasant and allowed us to leave our caravan on site on our last day so that we could stay longer.
The toilets/showers are clean and roomy enough (number 3 had the best shower!) The washing up area is sheltered and was always clean and tidy. There is a supermarket a short drive as well as 2 fish and chip shops and other takeaway.
If I had one complaint is would be only that the sign outside the site was a little on the small size. Oooo and the electric - we couldn't use our electric kettle (normal size) although the owner did say he had a travel one we could use if we needed to.

A beautifully set out site with great views and we were also treated to a spectacular sunset. The owners are very friendly. The site is immaculate and the new toilet/shower block adequate but very cold ( it was mid March) and the water for the shower was not very hot. We walked into Craven Arms but apart from the supermarket there is not a lot else there. Reasonably priced at £17. 50 with electric

Stayed here for two nights on our way up and down from Cornwall. Lovely quiet site, set a few miles out of the local town. We stayed in a pet friendly pod, it was perfect for what we needed, though the sofa bed was a little smaller I would think than an average double.
The site is very dark at night time and I feel that they could have more lighting around but nothing that isn't resolved with a good torch and they do have a little one provided in each pod.
At the pods there is a wood burner too and you can get provisions from Jane and Brian at the house, it was lovely to sit outside later in the evening with the fire going.

A lovely quiet site surrounded by countryside. The pitches were spaced out quite well. The owner told us that he's still working in making them more motorhome friendly. That said they're fine. The facilities were very clean. The information point was good and the owner will advise on walks etc if required.

Lovely location, quite & peaceful. Really nice couple who own site. Nice walks with the dog. We stopped in one of there pods. Bit of an experience for us, we are no youngsters! Got the fire going outside at night. Nice and cosy sat by the roaring fire. Nice comfortable pods, really surprised. Went to Clun, really nice little village. Plenty of places to go and see. Would definitely use again. Laura, Rob and Bolt the dog.

If you like peace and tranquility and being treated like an adult by the owners then this is the site for you. We decided to book a couple of nights away to celebrate my sister-in-laws birthday, we wanted something fairly local to us and after reading the excellent reviews on this website thought we'd give Greenway a go.
The site is very easy to find just go a further 200 yards than the sat nav tells you! As I wasn't there when my sister-in-law arrived I have to go on what she told me. The owner was extremely helpful to her and her friend, showing them the pitches with electric hook-ups and telling them to take their pick. He was also telling them about the local area including walks, pubs, restaurants etc.
When my wife and I arrived at 9pm the tent was all ready and so was the wine, what a way to start your weekend.
As I said at the very start the first impressions of this site are of tranquility and you could be in the middle of nowhere, the site is fairly small but we seemed to have a huge area to ourselves.
The toilet blocks are perfectly adequate, I've been in better and I've also been in much worse. Talking to the owner on the Sunday they took over this site just a year ago and have some good plans for the site including develop of the shower facilities ( I imagine it would be mighty cold in the winter).
The beauty of the site for me though was that there were no 'silly' rules, you were left to be a adult enjoying a lovely campsite with like minded people, everyone respected that and it was very refreshing.
There are loads of places to see in the area, Ludlow was impressive. We also tried the fish and chip shop in Craven arms Route 49 with probably the nicest haddock we've all ever had.
The site has some 'pods' that look interesting so my wife and I think we'll be back soon to try these.
Well done to the owners, keep up the good work. Excellent site

We stayed here for just one night while touring on our bicycles. Our tents were soaking from that morning, so we were very glad to accept the offer of an upgrade to a camping pod that was available that night. The pod was very comfortable and cosy for two, with a wood burner outside - although we didn't use it. The site is very well kept, as are the facilities. We didn't have much time to explore the area, but what we cycled through looked very pleasant. The owner was also very pleasant and welcoming.
If we pass that way again I would certainly re-visit.
