What a find! Great site, very quiet, clean and friendly owner. Paul Keast obviously enjoys running this site and is very approachable.
I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here but be aware you may not be able to get a pitch it’s very popular. You must book your place beforehand.
Children are welcome on the site but no play area is available, so I have rated Child friendliness 4 out of 10 but it certainly doesn’t seem to be a problem.

Just returned from Little Acre having spent a really good weekend with family. This is a lovely quiet site managed by Paul who is extremely helpful and accommodating and was able to help us out with bits and bobs with this being my son's first time out in a new tent.
Unfortunately the UK weather was not kind to us for the first half of the weekend but we had the luxury of a recessed area at the bungalow on site which provided us with cooking shelter which saved the day. We loved the site for its relaxed, laid back feel. Showers and toilets clean and well presented and a washing up area gave us all the facilities we needed.
The location of the site is extremely handy, just off the M6 and perfect half way meeting place for our family get together. The local pub is 2 mins walk from the site and although we didn't eat there, the family enjoyed the visit for a drink.
There is an Asda store not far away if you need to stock up with supplies so all in all, perfectly located. I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone - if you want to get away from it all, give it a go.
Prices are very reasonable compared with other sites with great access to electricity where we were sited. Thanks Paul for a good weekend and hope to see you again in the future.

This is a beautiful site set in lovely surroundings. The canal is on the opposite side of the lane with a small river down the lane. They allow dogs and these above facilities are ideal for the family pet.
We stayed on the field which has a mixture of camping, touring caravans and seasonal caravans. Its was a good size field with hard stand for the caravans with ample room for the awning. There are two blocks of facilities. One has a toilet, shower unisex and a washing up room. The second bigger block has separate areas for male and female. In the ladies two toilets, two sinks and a shower, probably about the same in the gents. There is an emergency unisex toilet on the end of block. They are immaculate. Cleaned daily and re stocked. Site kept clean. Paul and Sarah are welcoming and friendly, they are full of information about the surrounding area. They have a VIP living with them, named Sandy. She is the most adorable gold cocker spaniel at 13 weeks old she is friendly and the happiest dog you would ever meet.
When we were there it was Easter weekend. The site became full both with caravans and tents. Unfortunately they allow groups on site and we fell foul of having one opposite us for the weekend. Good Friday evening was appalling. They started becoming very loud in their group during the afternoon. In the evening the music became louder and louder with full bass used. It didn't finish until well after eleven o clock. They had two dogs, the youngest of which they didn't control at all. It used the field for a toilet and wasn't watched was it all picked up?? it barked everytime someone moved on the site added to which it began to how, being a beagle they can howl. One of the caravanners a lady, was terrified of dogs and this didn't help her husband had to take her to the toilet facilities and wait to bring her back. The dog wasn't disciplined or controlled at all. After that the people were more controlled and the music whilst loud was bearable.
This didn't ruin a beautiful site, lovely owners and good facilities. Especially during our week day visit.

We have just got home from a long weekend at little acres, as soon as we arrived the owner paul, welcomed us and said once you are all set up He would come over to us, which he did to give us a lot if information of what was going on in and around Crooklands, where we could find takeaways, where to buy papers etc.
Paul was very helpful.
The site is very well maintained, easy access, just off the motorway showers and toilets where clean.
We stayed in plot 13 which was amble size for our caravan and awning.
We will definitely return.

Stayed one night on way south from Scotland. Great location near J36 and right next to Lancaster Canal. Crooklands Hotel across road where meals and drinks can be had. One site facilities very clean and well kept. Owners are very communicative by email and accept bank transfers, so easy to get booked up. Yes you do get a bit of noise from M6 but just take your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, didn't bother me. I'll stay again.

Stayed here recently for one night in our campervan.
We phoned the site on our way up to check a pitch was available.
The friendly owner said he had one left for the night.
The site is in a lovely location by the canal and within easy access of the motorway and on the edge of the lake District.
Minimal noise from motorway but you do get traffic on the main road that passes close by though it didn't bother us in the van.
We parked up and got setup and were duly greeted by the owner who was very helpful and had plenty of info about the area.
The site seemed to be full of mainly semi resident or long term caravan customers perhaps working in the area but it was very quiet.
The facilities are basic but very clean and the site looks to be well looked after.
We had a water point and hookup by the pitch and waste disposal was by the toilet block.
There is a second toilet block on the other side but we didn't use it.
A great little site and we may well return on another adventure to the lakes or even as a stop off on a run to scotland.

Myself, Partner and 3 friends stayed at little acres over night, we were greeted by the very friendly owner who explained they layout and showed us to our sites.
It is a very clean campsite, small quiet and lovely scenery, with Hotel just 5 mins away and a Texaco garage 10 mins along road that sells papers and has small goods.
Toilets are limited but very clean, as is shower room and dish washing room.
Great little place nice friendly people and reasonably priced with electric hook up will certainly be back before end of summer.

This is a small site surrounded by countryside & next to the Lancaster canal. The facilities are basic but clean, one of the blocks is heated and the other not. The pitches are gravel hard standing - awning pegs went in easily. They are nearly level & there is sufficient space for awning, although car space is a little tight. Paul the manager was on hand when we arrived & couldn't of been more helpful. The Texaco garage is a 10 minute walk away, along the canal and across the busy A65. As already stated in a previous review, the bakery in Endmore (5 mins drive) is fabulous - we had a bacon & sausage butty on Saturday morning it was lovely. We ate at The Plough at Lupton (10mins in car) fab food, good beer and very dog friendly, highly recommended. The site is situated close to junction 36 of M6 and therefore is a prime position for visiting South Lakes, North Yorkshire and Morcambe area. There is some road noise from the A65 but not to bad & we woke to the sound of birds singing every morning. The ducks are regular visitors & can be seen waddling around the site or sunbathing! All in all a gem of a site
