A brilliant family holiday - 4 pitches taken. We arrived to a warm welcome, shown to our pitches and then left to get on with our holiday. We rented a fire pit. Got 7 nights for the price of 5!
Showers and toilets were always clean. There is a hairdryer in each block
There is plenty of space for kids (and adults) to kick a ball about and lark around, not bothering other campers.
Both electric and non electric pitches available for caravans and tents. Site rules followed by all.
The site is secure. You are given a key to unlock the site gate We will definitely go back.

We arrived 1st August 2015 after requesting a flat pitch near but not on top of the toilet block as one of our party is confined to a wheelchair - the pitch we were directed to by the cheerful warden was not quite flat but we were more than happy with the location. After pitching up it was time to explore. There were a number of toilet blocks on the site only the nearest to us did we use and this block was very clean with enough facilities for the campers in the immediate vicinity. There were no dedicated facilities for the children (eg playground, etc) but with more than enough room for the playing of boules, badminton and anything else the savvy camper would bring for their children. The site is not immediately close to any shop - the nearest being five mins away by car (a local londis) - but along a busy road which I would not advise walking down especially with children, and a supermarket (morrisons) is about 15 mins away by car. The nearest pub is again about 5 mins away by car. There are plenty of attractions both local and further away from Meadow View the local Moor Valley park being a very enjoyable day out cycling along various trails and with a wheelchair bike to hire this was a must for us during our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it as did our son who was laughing like a fool on several occasions. Boscome Beach which is excellent for beach goers who need to be near their vehicle as you can park on the actual beach front and five steps from the car will get you on the beach and as the tide doesn't go our far at all the sea is within easy reach all day through with lovely clean, clear water. We also managed a day trip to The Isle Of Wight even though we got back quite late. On conclusion we found this campsite very good value for money, with the added bonus of being able to have campfires - it is a quiet site with a strict not too much noise after eleven - but if you are still quietly enjoying your camp fire that is fine - my partner and I stayed up most evenings until 12-1 and it was gloriously quiet apart from the occasional owls and screeches of hunted wildlife and if like us you enjoy astronomy the night sky is relatively pollution free with only the wisps of campfire smoke effecting the quality of star gazing - and that only occasionally. I know it is requested that we don't make comments on individuals but I would like to thank all the staff we came into contact with for going out of their way to make our stay a wonderful one - even allowing us a late departure and an additional nights stay which enhanced our holiday even more. And we are already deciding on when to visit Meadow View again next year.

We were met with a lovely warm welcome from the campsite owner and were quickly taken to our pitch where we were appropriately and gently reminded of the camp rules. We pitched and ordered a fire pit and briquetts for six days which was £60 at £10 per night; the site manager kindly threw in another bag for free. Having had fire pits at other sites the price is on the high side and the fuel is smokey but nonetheless this is a good perk on the site. Location wise it's about 45 minutes to the Jurassic Coast, 20 minutes to Bournmouth, and 15 to the New Forest; all in all a good location but those wishing for a coastal holiday may consider moving a little closer as roads to the coast are at times busy. Otherwise, the showers and toilets are cleaned regularly, there's a constant supply of hot water throughout the day, the fields are vast with plenty of space between pitches, the site sells basic amenities, and the site goes quiet in accordance with the rules at 10. 30. It's a great sites for couples, families and children and I would recommend this site. Thanks for a very good time and we hope to see you again.

Enjoyed 5nights here. We had lovely views but a bit of a trek to the loos though worth it ! Went fishing everyday for free and caught 18 fish in total. Toilets and showers are better in lower fields one block was heated with heated towel rails. All very clean and spacious. The shops are not close by so you may want to take some food drink etc for when you arrive nothing is available like that on site. Will be back next year for certain, most enjoyable place and staff are helpful and friendly.

We visited Meadow view after being recommended it by a colleague. We did a cheeky 2 night stay here on a Friday before the school holidays.
This site is sooooooo convenient for Moors Valley Country Park which is literally down the road.
There is a Morrison's supermarket about a 10 minute drive.
Check in was smooth and we were given a key for the barrier. This is reassuring to keep people out who haven't booked in to stay here.
We were met down the pathway/road by a chap who showed us to our pitch.
We were opposite one of the shower/toilet/washing up blocks, but not too close, it was very convenient with a 5 year old!
Site was lovely and well set out, some parts were on a bit of a slope but we were on a flat bit. The showers etc were kept clean with plenty of hot water at all times.
There was no noise after about 9pm even though when it was light you could see there were a few groups of people having a drink and a laugh.
The local area is lovely, very convenient for Moors Valley, the New Forest, Bournemouth etc.
Bins were located at the top near the reception and barrier, it would have been more convenient for us lazies if there were also bins near the shower block, but it got us walking up the hill, so no real 'biggie'.
We would definitely return to this campsite in the future.

We found this to be a pleasant, relaxed and peaceful site. The warden was very friendly and helpful and clearly folk arriving at the weekend were regulars. There is plenty of space to camp with hookups. We cycled in the area, there are plenty of quiet roads away from the site. The pub up the road was friendly with good food, although because of the road its not one to walk to. Would revisit if in the area.

Probably one of the nicest campsites I have ever stayed at. Very clean, tidy and spacious. We stayed in our tent and weren't 'crammed' in as is very often the case. Toilets, showers and washing up stations were lovely and clean with plentiful hot water. Beautiful surroundings, I am very much an early riser and would sit outside the tent with a cuppa at 5. 30 watching the world wake and listening to the wildlife. Plenty of pheasants and geese around in the neighbouring fields. The cockerel was awake earlier than me though ! Couple of horses in the field to my right which I watched religiously having fun running up and down and rolling around in their paddock. Just beautiful.
Peter and Tim were superb hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They drove round almost hourly in their landrover checking that everyone was ok. A cheery wave or a thumbs up as they went past. Great fellas. We hired the fire pit for an evening which was absolutely amazing. Plenty of wood (although we bought an extra bag). Really added to the ambience of camping. Obviously a couple of bottles of wine helped. It cost £10 to hire, some say it's expensive, I definitely say it was worth every penny.
To sum it up, a wonderful site, wonderful hosts in a beautiful part of the country. Cannot wait to return. Thank you Tim & peter.

Visited this site in September 2014. We wanted a nice quiet location and as we are both keen mountain bikers, this was spot on! Close to Moors Valley Country Park with bike trails and Go Ape and we picked up lots of other cycle routes in the New Forest. Beautifully clean, spacious site with plenty of room. As we went after school holidays we had the whole field to ourselves! There are three shower/toilet blocks, one very new and is the best shower block we have seen on any camp site. We hired a Fire Pit one evening and toasted marshmallows. You must do this, great fun! Pete and Tim are very friendly and very informative of the local area. There is a Morrisons in Verwood which is only 10mins away. The Three Legged Cross, just 5 mins away, does wonderful meals and The Stocks Inn is good too. If I have to make one complaint. Actually, this is not a complaint just a suggestion. Maybe have some stiff mats just outside the shower blocks to save dragging in wet grass! Sorry, just me being picky. :-) We REALLY can not find fault with anything. We have even booked to go back next year and we have never done that with any campsite before! :-)

We have just returned from our test pitch weekend from what could easily become a frequent quick getaway site. From the time we arrived the owner and his team were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they spent a lot of time making sure everyone was happy on the site. The site itself is immaculate and split into different fields we had a great pitch with more than enough room for the Wolf lake but also our kitchen gazebo. The site was very friendly and the facilities were tip top(with a fussy wife very pleased!) the newer toilet block had 2 very spacious showers which could easily handle the daughters and mum in one go, coupled with heated towel rails all the females in the family were happy. The kids loved the open field for flying kites, doing cartwheels or kicking a ball (there is no playground area which for a 6yr old can be a flaw, monkey bars rule at the moment!) but even she ended up happy :-). Allowing firepits to toast marshmallows on completes the camping experience. We will be returning!

Meadow View is a fantastic site. I have been here several times and each time have recommended to friends who have also thoroughly enjoyed their stay when they have visited. The kids and I along with a group of friends have just returned after a five night stay and although we had a bit of rain we all had fun. The showers and toilets are regularly cleaned which is one of the reasons we return to this site. We visit the lake for a walk with the children who love looking for dragonflies by day and bats at dusk. The view looking across the fields is beautiful in the morning and at night stargazing when not cloudy is a must. We are always made welcome by the owners and they go out of their way to ensure that we are okay. Customer service is a top priority and we have no complaints and always leave reluctantly but with a smile on our faces! The local pubs are welcoming and food is very good. Supermarket only a short drive away along with other local shops. Great site and highly recommended. Thank you guys.
