Just returned from a weekend at this site. Owner greeted us at entrance and was very helpful showing us to our pitch and showing us where all the facilities were.
Facilities were very clean and tidy. Little disappointed to have to pay for showers, but having said that, I found it lasted more than long enough and never ran out of time. We were on the farthest of the 2 fields and this is definitely the better of the 2, but further from the toilet block.
Great location for access to the racecourse and York itself. Lovely pub just over a mile to the south in Bishopthorpe - the Ebor Inn.
I thought the pitch we were on was a little close to the neighbours, particularly with an awning on. Some seemed wider than others. All of the site was bordered with a high conifer hedge which we felt made the site feel a little 'hemmed in' I think there were probably some nice views being missed beyond the hedges.
The biggest gripe I had was that one of the owners dogs was wandering around the site freely and left at least 2 'parcels' which never got picked up and also let itself into our awning whilst we were out, forcing its way under the zip and riffling through our bin.
This was all the more annoying after the owner had already made comments to us about her having to have words with a previous visitor about allowing their dogs to wander off the lead.

What a superb site, we were greeted by Chris (lovely chap) he walked us to our pitch then told us all details of where to go, bus times etc. We had a visitor most days, Molly the black Labrador who was so friendly.
The toilet blocks are very clean, showers are 50p and last ages, tesco is just a short drive away so that's a bonus for top up on supplies, we walked into York most days as its only approx a mile and a half away.
I would recommend this place for sure, Remember it is an adults only site. We paid £19 a night which was good value for money in my opinion.

Have just returned from a week at manor farm and would like to add a review of this site. Site entrance just round corner from college of law on your right hand side, shown and guided right into designated pitch by owner. Small site spread between two small fields, we were on the first pitch on the first field closest to the road and you were aware of the road especially at commuter times, not a big problem but think you will notice it more especially when sat outside in nicer weather. We were inside the caravan with tv on and noticed the traffic. Toilet block contains two toilets and a pay to use shower for men and same again for the women, my only gripe is that the site states heated toilet block and showers which in reality is a dimplex fan heater fastened on the wall which in the week we were there came on once for approx 30 seconds and appears unsatisfactory especially in the colder weather. The pay to use shower (50p) gave lots of hot water and lasted for a good amount of time in fact the wife turned the shower on red hot whilst she got undressed to help heat the room and let the shower continue running whilst she got dressed as it was cold. If you have a pair of crocs/flip flops wear those in the shower as tiles are cold on bare feet! Lukewarm water whilst there from the handbasin tap also. On the plus side the site is well situated to either cycle, walk or catch the bus into york and we did a combination of all three. If you turn left out of site there is approx 20-25min walk into bishopsthorpe village with some nice pubs, road going there and back is a little lonely and unlit in places. Big tesco also nearby, just past york college. A nice site and would use again but in warmer times of the year as the toilet/shower block is quite cold when the temperature drops.

A small well sheltered site split over two area's. Pitches are spacious with hard standing but can still get pegs in.
Plenty of room between pitches. Could have got more pitches in if they had wanted to.
Site is within walking distance of York centre, just over one and a half mile walk along the river.
Ok. Toilet block only has two toilets, one sink and one shower(50p)in both male and female side. But never had to wait to use the shower. Showered in morning.
Site entrance is off a main road, 40mph limit so be careful you don't miss the entrance. Sign at entrance isn't very large, white paint on a green back ground in front of large green conifer trees. Not very visible when doing 35/40 mph.
Site is well maintained and quite cheap. £19. 00 per night including electric.
Would recommend this site and would not hesitate to use it again.
Good clean site, close to York centre and so reasonable.

Our latest visit was in May this year, been visiting this site for around 14 years now. We love this site, it, s convenient for the town centre and all surrounding amenities, pubs walks cycling etc. Chris and Bridget do a fabulous job, it is spotless and they really make you welcome. Well done to them. Over the years we have introduced many happy campers to this site. Just wish they would re-open for Christmas and New Year

Visited this site as we met up with friends and to go to the races which is right opposite. We organised the site months in advance so the owners kindly organised for us to get all 4 motorhomes together on large and level hard standings
As we all arrived at different times the owner guided and parked us on our different pitches.
The facilities are spotless and to a very good standard the 50p shower lasted a lot longer than I needed.
Being an adult only site it was quiet and no issue with road noise.
A pleasant walk / cycle into the city along the river by following the cycle track, which takes you past, (the always full), Rowntree Park Caravan Club site.
A great site and we would use it in preference to Rowntree Park

A lovely site - very friendly and informative welcome. A mile and a half along a lovely river walk to York. Go right from site to old chocolate factory - don't follow the trail signs but go down a gulley opposite the factory entrance and go left at the end to York. Signposted. Alternatively you can walk the road way - half way along there is a pub! Left out of site about a mile away a little village with Archbishops imposing residence, 3 pubs serving food and a Co-Op. Site is right opposite the racecourse. Site pitches are generous - facilities very clean (and heated - it was below freezing one night so needed!). Only 2 toilets and one shower in each so would be difficult if site was full I guess. No washing up room but that didn't bother us. Well worth looking at this site if you want to visit York.

Just returned after 3 days at Manor Farm.
This is our first visit and certainly won't be our last! We were on pitch 5 in the first block of pitches closest to the road and there wasn't a road noise problem at all.
Manor Farm is a lovely well kept site with very clean toilets and showers (take 50p pieces for the showers).
The owners are very friendly and swiftly take you to your allocated pitch which is more than ample for your unit and awning. This site is ideal for visiting York. The number 11 bus near the entrance takes you into York or you can bike (or walk)along the cycle route, its approx 20 mins on a bike ambling through the park and along the river which is a lovely route. If you cycle a few miles in the opposite direction towards selby sticking to the cycle route you come to the Marina in the village of Naburn where they have a lovely cafe with a Marquee to sit in, or tables and benches to sit outside overlooking the marina, its lovely to stop for coffee, then going a little further into the village is the Blacksmiths Arms pub that serve up Fab meals.
Bishopsthorpe village is a left out of the site and about a mile or two down the road which also has some nice pubs and shops for your essentials
All in all we've found a gem of a site!

What a gem of an adult only site.
Lovely walk via the Millenium bridge by the river into York.
This site is perfect for site seeing. Fantastic facilities and a beautifully kept site. Chris & Bridget get my vote for this brilliant adult only site.
It's only two adults per van which ensures peace and quiet and a perfect location.
Spotless facilities.
No noise from within the site. Slight whooshing of traffic noise but it doesn't disturb you.
The owners will suggest things to do and places to visit.
There's nothing bad about this site.
