Lovely spacious well laid out site.
Beaches close by and fabulous views. Lots of coastal walks from the campsite.
Good pub in village and well stocked shops in Benllech.

This site never disappoints.
Maintained exceptionally well with great sea views.
A short walk into the village and the pebble beach is at the bottom of the site.
Facilities clean and good (20p coins for showers).
£28 a night for a campervan, 2 adults and a dog with EHU.

This is the first time we have been on this site.
We were very pleased with Ian who's farm it is he was very helpful, he put our van on a pitch for us.
The view from the site was marvellous looking out to sea.
We watched the lifeboat practise.
The site itself was really good.
We will definitely come back here again.

Just come back from 3 nights here, and fair to say have had all 4 seasons in that time, but that's June & UK for you.
Firstly, the site is easy to find, and you are met by the the very friendly, knowledgeable owner Ian, who will show you to your pitch, and answer anything you need to know.
We arrived on the Sunday after the Jubilee finished so had a good choice of pitches. We plumped for the bottom of the site, facing the sea (hoping we might have some sun lol), on a hardstanding with EHU & water.
The pitch was clean, fairly level (needed our chocks on the front), and clean. The weather was awful when we arrived, so it was, power on, door shut, kettle on, and sort everything later.
Despite what would have clearly been a very busy weekend/week, the site was spotless. Plenty of rubbish bins (though we eidnt spot any recycling facility), washrooms & toilets spotless.
Yes, you need 20p for the showers, but 3 mins is actually plenty for a full head to toe, so bargain.
WiFi is the best we've experienced on any site, and a real boon for the Sunday we arrived (as mentioned, it was wet & freezing), we were able to watch some TV, cosy warm (don't normally watch tv when away, but. ).
Being on the Anglesey Coastal path, walking is so easy, either North or South, which we managed on Mon/Tue, and the views are simply stunning, and worth every step.
Moelfre is a 10 min walk to the Pub, and has basic amenities, but boy, are this 'amenities' pricey. 2 pints and a small bowl of chips for £13. 50, bacon sandwich £6, coffee £2. 80. Thankfully we bought plenty of what we needed, so gave these places a swerve, as honestly felt ripped off. However, the little shop on the right as you walk in to Moelfre, superb, friendly and definitely not 'cashing in'.
Fully appreciate that times have been tough last 2 years (for everyone), but pricing like this will put people off.
Anyway back to the site, which we had nothing negative to say about it, yes if your at the bottom of the site, it is a bit of a walk up to the loos'/showers (so don't leave it till the last minute. ), yes it does have some severe slopes, which if your in a tent may affect you, but sat in the sun (yes it did come out on Tues), looking out to sea, was worth every penny.
Would we come back, yes we would, Ian works hard to keep the site pristine, but I'm sorry Moelfre, we will bring all that we need next time.

Booked after a gorgeous sunny weekend at home but wasn't quite so lucky for the actual week.
I didn't book electric and they were quite full so they put me in the centre of the field. They gave great advice about where to put the car to work as a windbreak but this seaside location was still very windy. I ended up leaving a night early so I could go home with a dry tent. I think the spots around the edge of the field had better shelter with hedges and walls to break the wind a bit better.
The wifi worked perfectly, the facilities were clean and well looked after. It was a bit pricey - £32 for a single person in a small tent. On top of that, you also need 20p pieces for the shower.
The location is lovely - a sea view from every pitch. The site has its own rocky beach with seals if you're lucky. It's a short walk to a chippy and a huge sandy beach and a short drive to a village with a Tesco and a co-op.

The proprietor of the campsite, Ian was extremely friendly, welcoming, approachable and helpful. He was always happy to chat and came to say goodbye to us on our last day.
The view was to die for………right on the coastal path and rocky beach.
The power showers were hot and the blocks were spotlessly clean and fresh-scented. They were cleaned beautifully on a daily basis.
Wi-fi was available in the field, which is unusual but was very welcoming and each plot had its own water tap.
The field was well-maintained and there were clear paths marked. Although all plots were grass-standing, this was fine. It was a vast field. Everything was neat and tidy.
It only took us around 20 minutes to walk to the centre of Moelfre. There is a chippy/cafe there, a grocery shop and a pub.
We had a fabulous holiday here and came home refreshed by the sea and country air!

I only got to visit this site in 2021, (but managed to get there twice, in June, when it was scorching hot and clear blue all week!), and late September, but have had it on my radar for a few years previously. I was not disappointed.
Large well drained field, plenty of space for units so not cramped at all, each pitch has hookup, some have grey disposal too.
If it was much closer to the sea, you'd be in it! Views are superb, a choice of distant hills to landward, and the sea approaches to Holyhead and Liverpool the other way. No wind turbines either. (Yet?). Can't comment on showers etc.
As we don't need them being in a self-contained MoHo. But everyone seems well pleased with them. Good facilities for Elsan and rubbish disposal, easy to access and use, and always as clean as you would hope to find.
My kind of site for sure, as I don't need or want clubs, playgrounds, sports or gyms etc. Or other distractions. The site is the thing!
I have a list of 4 sites in North wales that I love, and those 4 are enough for me, and I try to spread my time and custom equally. This place is a go-to.
The owner Ian is superbly helpful, accommodating and cheerful. I have rated things as 9/10, only because I might find something that's 10 in the future, (fat chance, lol!) but for my tastes, this by any practical yardstick I use, is a 10 from me. Long may it prosper!

Lovely site in a superb location with gorgeous sea views. The site is quite basic in terms of facilities but they are adequate.
There are no hard-standing pitches, but this is certainly not a problem. For hygiene reasons, it would be useful to have a washing-up facility that isn't in the shower room.
Electricity, water and a grey water drain are available on the caravan pitches. Internet is free, albeit a little slow, but at least it works. If we were to return to Anglesey again, this is a site we'd be delighted to stay at again.
The site is run by the farmer, Ian, who is very friendly and helpful. However, outside the site, you can expect to be ripped off on prices almost everywhere except the Co-op supermarket. Most of the prices are higher than in Switzerland!
We were sadly disappointed by this - a medium basic Pizza (takeaway) cost £11 in Traeth Bychan, a short walk from the site. A single scoop of ice cream was £3 in Moelfre.
I hope we can go to Switzerland next year! At least we'll get some sunshine there instead of rain and wind here.

Brilliant views, great shower block, somewhere to freeze freezer blocks. Lovely guy who runs it, great atmosphere.
Close to Moelfre beach and Treath Brachan.
Great for paddle boarding or kayaking too!
