Spent 2 nights at Nant Bychan. The site is well maintained and facilities are clean and functional. Potential visitors should be aware that the site is sloping with a lot of caravans 'perched' around the edge of the field.

We were directed to a flat spot at the bottom of the field by the sea 'hedge' which was fine. The site is right on the Anglesey Coastal Path which provides quick access to Moelfre in one direction and Traeth Bychan in the other.

For those with dogs please note that the pub in Moelfre, The Kinmel Arms, does not allow dogs inside although the Ty Dderw, on the road out of Moelfre, does.

The only downside of the site was the cost of £44 for the 2 nights with no EHC. This did seem a bit steep after paying £48 for 3 nights on the Lleyn peninsula and £10 for one night in Capel Curig, Snowdonia.

We really enjoyed our stay here as it is very picturesque - great views. The family on the farm were very friendly and helpful and suggested places to visit.

This site is on a working dairy farm and adjoins the fantastic coastline with coastal walks in both directions. The quiet, small fishing village of Moelfe is an easy walk away.

Facilities were basic but always clean: a room of toilet cubicles, a room of shower cubicles as well as a couple of individual bathrooms (more space with toilet and sink) and individual showers. Just be sure to have 20p ready for the shower.

We found grocery stores in nearby Benllech.

We have just spent two nights on this site and thought it was excellent in every way, very friendly, clean and great value for money,

Our pitch was perfect as seemed all the others!not at all cramped,

The facilities are clean and had everything we needed, our dog loved also, outstanding views and a lovely coastal path into molefre,

Can't recommend this site enough thanks will be coming again

We stayed for two nights at nant bychan, we were pitched at the far side nearest the sea and had a brilliant view.

Owners were welcoming and very polite. Campsite was well looked after, toilets and showers were basic but provided everything we needed.

It's situated on a diary farm and you can buy eggs and milk from the farm. Pitches got plenty of room and you weren't crammed in.

Great location, we will def go back!

Stayed at Nant Brychan Farm for 3 nights at the end of May with my husband, two teens and a dog. Lovely little site. Quite sloping but bottom end of field where tents are pitched has a few flat pitches. We were told by the lovely lady at the farmhouse to pick where we wanted to pitch.

Ours is a large 8 man tunnel tent and we had lots of space. Tent pitches also have benefit of being really close to the sea so you get the sound of the waves whilst getting some protection from the wind by a hedge which runs the length of the field.

A gate at the bottom of the field leads directly onto a craggy beach, full of rock pools and their various inhabitants, to the delight of our daughter who spent lots of time going backwards and forwards catching crabs and shrimps.

The toilet and shower block are very clean though you may encounter the odd 'beastie' as they are in a converted farm outbuilding. As well as the unisex toilet and shower block there are a couple of individual showers and toilets for those who prefer that little bit more privacy and there is a freezer for campers use in one of the garages attached to the shower block.

The only slight criticism I have is the length of the grass. The owners are constantly mowing but they leave the grass a good 3-4 inches long which, whilst lovely and soft, can wet you through if there is a lot of dew.

The coastal walk around Anglesey runs right past the bottom of the camping field and we walked along it, first to the village which has a lovely little harbour with pub, coffee shop, village store, fab chippy (beware, a large cod would feed a family of 4!)and then on to Lligwy beach (large flat and sandy)which took about a further 30 mins from the harbour at Moelfe and constantly delighted us with breathtaking views of the coastline and cliffs.

All in all a lovely site in a lovely place. We took a 20 min drive to Beaumaris, which is a really nice quaint seaside town and took the Puffin Cruise to Puffin Island which was the highlight of our trip. We were rewarded with sightings of puffins, seals and a giant barrel jellyfish the size of a small child!

Really enjoyed Anglesey and will definitely be back.

Having missed the opportunity of a holiday due to work commitments, at the last minute I borrowed a tent and decided to take the family camping.

We phoned the site at 1500 and were there and pitched by 1800.

To be perfectly honest I was a little apprehensive having never camped at a 'site' as my camping experience was a number of years ago and what is now referred to as 'wild' camping.

My fear was a crowded field with tents virtually on top of each other.

Mrs Evans showed us to our pitch which was on a slight slope. The site was nearly full. However there was enough room between the pitches so that neighbours were unable to hear my snores(I think).

The location is fantastic, great sea views and secluded. A short walk along the coastal path is Moelfre, a typical old fishing village and the other direction Bychan beach. It was the perfect location for a quiet family holiday.

The shower/toilets were basic, clean and functional(nothing flash here).

We could only stay for two nights. After pitching we went to The Kinmel Arms in Moelfre, good hearty food and a warm welcome(I can recommend the Gammon, chips and egg) with fantastic views across the bay.

Breakfast at Bychan beach in the little cafe was again excellent if not a little expensive for what it was.

Would we go again? Yes, we can't wait until half term. I bought a family tent within a few days of returning. I think that says it all really.

All in all a great place for a quiet family holiday.

We stayed at this campsite as a last minute booking and the owner Mrs Evans managed to fit us in without a problem.

Overall the campsite is set in such a stunning location right on the beach and coastal path and consequently the views are stunning.

Campsite good points

The campsite itself is a basic site which adds to the appeal of being non commercial added to this the owner makes sure the pitch allocated is large and not on top of your neighbour.

The location is a ten minute walk into Moelfre which is a stunning little harbour.

Campsite not so good points

The toilet block and showers are typical farm site blocks which I find endearing however they may not appeal to some additionally they are unisex. What I think may help in future may be a mop to be provided to mop round after showering.

The bins after a weekend were overflowing maybe more bins may be needed.

We paid £25 per night with hook up which was a bit steep.

The local pub in Moelfre is not dog friendly and the food is very basic however its worth travelling the other way to the country inn which is more expensive but lovely food and dog friendly.

Nant Bychan Farm is basic farm site that's in a fabulous setting, with direct access to the rocky beach which is great for rock pools and exploring. There were plenty of people fishing off the rocks too. The site has direct access to the Anglesey Coastal Path so is great for walkers.

Booking was very easy, over the telephone, and no deposit was required. The site is run by Mrs Evans and her sons and they are all very friendly and extremely helpful.

We stayed for a week in July and paid £25 per night for family tent on an electric pitch (£20 for family tent on non electric, less for smaller tents)The pitches are immaculately kept and mown on a regular basis. The site is quite sloped in places but you can find a flat pitch. The electric pitches are around the outside, with a central area in the middle for non electic.

As previously mentioned, the toilet block is basic but clean with the exception of a few insects that stray in. There 6 unisex toilets in total, 5 unisex showers and 2 undercover sinks for pot washing. It is 20p for a shower but you will need 40p unless you are super quick. It was quite busy when we first got there, there were 28 caravans and 25 tents, but we never had to queue and the site didn't feel full or crowded.

There is a freezer for freezing food or coolbox blocks (free) and also a small shop selling milk, eggs, orange juice and yoghurts etc via an honesty box. There is no playground or other facilities but plenty of room for children to play. Moelfre itself is a short walk away, there is an excellent chip shop/cafe (tried and tested!)and a post office in the village along with a lovely pub that serves meals. The free RNLI SeaWatch centre on the far side of the village is also well worth a visit.

In summary, this is a basic no frills site that more than makes up for it with the amazing views and being right on the beach. If you like quiet, friendly sites, with few facilities but gorgeous scenery, this is the one for you.

This is the first review that we have put on this site but felt it well worth doing so to enable others to enjoy such a pleasant, scenic location.

We rented a static caravan on the farm which was very reasonably priced. Nant Bycham Farm site itself is no more than a mile from Moelfre which has a pub, general store, fish and chip shop and Tea Room (Anns Pantry), but the best things about the site itself are the views and the hospitality.

We were made very welcome. Although not avid walkers, the site is situated on the coastal path which allowed us to plan a walk on a daily basis although we did take the opportunity of touring in the car about the island (South Stack is definitely worth a visit)when the weather was a bit changeable.

I can confirm that Moelfre area is truly amazing place.

Campsite is as others said is quite basic. There is a toilet block with showers (4 WC and 5 showers if I am not wrong). Block cleaned on regular basis, always tidy and clean. It is a bit over dated however deserves good 4 stars. The problem comes when you have more people on campsite which in my opinion can hold up to 30-40 caravans and at least the same number of tents. You will be queuing. There is 20p charge for 3 min shower but water temperature can jump from cold to hot and back in peak times however usually most of the day is just right. Haven’t seen washing machine or baby changers but that is not stated on the camp website anyway. Remember is a basic campsite. There is grey water and chemical disposal place and I believe there is only one tap with drinking water so don’t forget your water carrier.

Site itself is very clean and attracts sensible people that won’t disturb your night sleep. Site is open to environment and can get very windy. Sloping site in some places but mostly flat.

Sea shore gives you everything you want. 300m radius you have rock cliffs, sandy beach and places full of rock pools. It is good place for fishing as well to spend time with kids crabbing. If you are after hiking there are plenty of walks there.

Owners run a farm so you can buy fresh eggs milk and some veggies of them. They are always there to help if you have any sort of a problem.

Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and I can bet it would be difficult to find any better place on island than this one. Thanks to its basic setup the site has its own character that others are lacking.

It is definitely place worth spending every penny for holidays.

We paid £25 for family size tent with EHU which is a good price.
