This campsite is lovely. It is in a beautiful location with a 20 minute walk through the woods to a very nice pub. The campsite is very quiet and spotlessly clean.
The facilities are basic but excellent. The location is very pretty and the owners are helpful.
If you want peace and quiet in a pretty spot, this is a great choice.

We had a lovely time at Monks Cottage. The pitch was flat and the grass very well tended.
We had use of the toilet/shower block, the drinking water fill up, the waste water disposal and of course the chemical toilet disposal.
There were great footpaths through the fields and woods for the dog.
Our pitch was a very good size and all in all, we had a wonderful time!

Excellent - Manicured pitches - nice quiet site.
We don’t use site facilities apart from emptying point - but everything was Covid aware with sanitiser as all points

Lovely site, well looked after,
Facilities clean and well maintained,
The ground a little uneven, and a little isolated,
Could do with a little shop for milk etc.

The site was as good as it always is
The only difference is it was almost full maybe due to covid19 not used to it being so busy.
We will be back again next year!

We have stayed here many times. We love the site as it is quiet, small and well maintained.
Pay owners when you leave or any time during your stay. No hassle. This time we posted in a box due to covid, but always easy and no pressure to do so quickly.
Highly recommend this site for couples who would like a peaceful break with enough towns and places to visit not too far away.
You do have to take your rubbish away with you, but we are happy to do that.

We use Monks cottage a few times a year, as its local to us and an immaculately kept site, I turned up Thursday 18th at 1-30pm, so I could have a choice of pitches,
I was surprised to find that I was the only caravan on site,
over the whole weekend the site was only half full which was very unusual especially how the weather was brilliant, we have already booked up May bank holiday.
The Red lion pub is a 20 minute walk through the woods, its a bit tricky to find the first time, but worth the walk as there food is always good, you can also take dogs in there, it's too dangerous to walk along the road to the pub as its a fast road with no path.
The site pitches are £20 a night and have crept up slightly over the years, but its £20 a night all year, so while a lot of sites are charging £30/£40 a night for bank holidays, at Monks its only £20.
