We had a lovely stay at this site a couple of weeks ago. The sun shone on Sunday and we went off to Scotney Castle and had a great walk around the estate with Buster our dog. Left on Monday and did Emmetts Garden (National Trust) in Sevenoaks before returning home. A very quiet small site, the facilities were clean and completely adequate. A good quick dog walk nearby too and shops very close. Very pleasant and helpful owner too.
I am sure we will return.

This is a quiet site in a picturesque setting. The week of our motorhome stay coincided with the heavy rain at the end of April but the hardstanding pitches were well drained. The toilet block was simple, functional and spotlessly clean. It was a joy to have showers where one could control the rate and flow of water, rather than have them pre-determined and require constant button pushing. The locked gate gave one peace of mind regarding security and the spacing of the pitches gave peace and privacy. The hookups are limited to 10amps, which may be a problem if using a heater and kettle at the same time.
Parking in Tonbidge was not easy, but the pay and display at Sainsbury's was fine. The van took up two bays, so we had to buy a ticket for each bay. The cost of one ticket was refunded against goods purchased in Sainsbury's. The location makes a good base for visiting the National Trust properties in Kent.
We suggest that the addition of a washing machine and tumble dryer would be a valuable enhancement. Having the site sign at 90 degrees to the road would make it easier to see, we drove past twice before it was noticed. We will certainly use this site again

On our second attempt we were able to book a 2 night stay at short notice, its a popular site and with good reason. So book early!
Very easy to find using the website directions, and conveniently close to decent A roads, so no narrow twisting lanes to negotiate. But despite its proximity to the main road once on the site there is no road noise to speak of.
The site only caters for 10 pitches and there is ample space between each and plenty of land to spread out on. Or scrump the odd apple (pitches are surrounded by orchards)!
The added advantage bearing in mind we visited during the school holidays was no children!
The toilet/shower block (separate men & womens) though not palatial was clean with useful camping hints dotted around. I now dry off after a shower with a flannel!
A number of good dining options within a 20 minute walk, for those fine diners amongst you I can highly recommend Montrose.

This is a smashing little site run by a lovely couple the food preparation area & toilet facilities though basic are as clean as any I have visited. Kent is aptly described as the garden of England, this site with it's well kept grounds is typical of this area. There are so many tourist attractions nearby it would be impossible to see them all in one visit. I read a review of this site in which the reviewer stated that there were to many do's & don't's, I have to say I found the standards requested by the owners were typical of any caravan club site. I conclude by saying my wife & I are looking forward to our next visit

I've just spent 5 weeks at this site as I needed to be close to Tunbridge Wells for work but didn't want to stay in a hotel. And I'm very pleased that I did.
On arrival at the site I was greeted very warmly by the warden who told me to chose whichever pitch I wanted seeing as I was staying for quite a length of time. My first impressions were of a well maintained site, lots of space between and around pitches and an air of peacefulness. My impressions did not change throughout my stay! The toilet block is small (2 toilets and 1 shower in the ladies) but spotlessly clean and I hardly ever saw anyone else in them. I didn't queue once for the shower and there was always hot water. I thought that over the May Bank holiday it may be a bit busier but even though the site was deemed full it was by no means crowded - 10 campers/caravan pitches and a couple of tents and I still didn't have to queue for a shower. Perfect!
The site is in a great location for Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. I cycled the 5 miles to work everyday and felt completely happy leaving my belongings in the awning. There are plenty of shops within easy driving distance and it took my 25 mins to walk to the Sainsbury's in Tonbridge.
The owners were friendly but not intrusive, and there were some nice touches - like use of picnic benches dotted around the site. They were happy for me to move one to outside my van which made my life a bit more comfortable.
All in all a lovely, clean and quiet site in a great location. I intend to repeat my stay next year when I have to return for work again.

Spent a very peaceful Bank Holiday weekend at Apple Acres. Friendly greeting on arrival then we were able to choose from the 3 empty pitches and just left to make our choice and set up, no complicated instructions as to siting of van etc.
Felt secure with the locked gate but not as if in Colditz! The site is on a slope but nothing that the levelling blocks couldn't cope with.
We were able to stay until after lunch on Monday so had a nice walk in the morning, which made the most of the day before having to face the M25.
All in all a friendly site in a good location with clean facilities, what more could you ask!

This was our first outing in our new (to us anyway) motorhome. We couldn't have wished for a better site. We have stayed at several different sites when we owned a caravan but this is certainly the best.
The shower block is immaculate, the pitches not overcrowded. The location is approximately half way between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge. We chose to leave the motorhome on site and catch the bus into these towns.
Tonbridge Castle was very enjoyable and the river walks very pretty. Good shopping in Tunbridge Wells. Had the weather been better we would probably have walked more, the countryside was beautiful.
A deer peeped out from the bushes as we walked along the lane one afternoon. We will definitely return.

This was our third visit in as many years, it is a perfect 'Adults Only' haven.
We arrived the day before the fortnightly boot sale in the next field so it was easy to bring home the goodies.
Very easy to visit the lovely Tonbridge also Tunbridge Wells the other way.
Being inside an orchard we had the pick of many fruits (in season that is},as always the trip from Seaford was really worth the stay.
We have recommended this site to other 'Caravaners' some of which have visited with glowing reports.
A very helpful on site staff.Usual facilities are available all spotless clean, the showers are quite powerful. An exchange book system is available just inside the ablutions block. I found a 'Cussler' which I had not read
Note;- this site does not take credit/debit card payments, there is an ATM at the Shell garage 1.5 miles towards Tonbridge.
We look forward to our next visit.

Just returned from a week here, the site is very nice, lovely setting in an orchard, which was just starting to blossom. Owners very friendly and helpful. As others have said toilet / shower block isn't modern but spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water ( shower not working on second day there, as soon as I mentioned this to the owner, he rectified it immediately, trip switch had tripped.) Yes you can hear traffic but not enough to bother anybody. Also car boot sale on certain Sundays in next field, and we went to one, fantastic ! We loved it and would highly recommend it !

As said by others the gravel pitches are varied in size but far enough from your neighbours not to be looking in at them.
Washrooms are dated but ok with book swap and information leaflets.
Hot free showers.
Signs telling you to keep off the grass but would you like your grass churned up by tyres and the like, so they are justified as people do do it!
Bus stops around 300 mtre walk away and Tonbridge about 3 miles, we cycled to Tonbridge mostly on the cycle path but the last 1/3 was on road, very steep hill coming back which our bikes coped with thank god otherwise a long old hill coming back.
Lidl and sainsburys in Tonbridge, have yet to visit Tunbridge wells.
Yes you can hear the traffic more some times than others, depends which way the wind blows and you can hear planes overhead but they are not too noisy and they didn't stop either of us sleeping.
A very nice site with very friendly owners, very helpful.
Secure with a locked gate, you are given the number when you arrive which is fair enough, makes you feel very safe in your beds!
Weather was very kind to us and made the views even more pleasurable but in the spring and summer this site would be stunning, just a little early for the blossom, still that pleasure is to come as we will certainly return
Major benefit is the no children rule, don't get me wrong I have children of my own, grown up now but I have been on lots of different sites and the no children rule is a bonus, peace and quiet yesssss!
