We spent the Jubilee weekend here and had the time of our lives. This is a lovely little rural site on a working farm set in beautiful countryside. It has all the usual facilities; indoor pot washing area; coin operated washing machine & tumble dryer; a small shop which sells essentials plus fresh eggs and absolutely gorgeous Welsh Cakes.
The showers are free and whilst they and the toilets are a bit on the small side they are spotlessly clean. Beryl and her family are very friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive.
This is a family orientated site with lots for the kids to do. A stream runs alongside one edge of the site which the kids love to play in and the owners love to involve the kids in helping to care for the animals. Our 4 year old daughter simply loved tending the chickens, ducks and geese each day as well as hand feeding the sheep.
The site is a good jumping off point for touring North Wales. It’s within reasonable driving distance of a number of good pubs and is only 3 mile from LLanrwst where you can find several restaurants and takeaways as well as a well-stocked Co-op.
All in all we had a fantastic and relaxing time here and we’ll definitely be returning very soon.

I booked this campsite on the basis of other reviews and wasn't disappointed. The pitches are well spaced out and the toilets/showers clean, hot and free.
The owwners of the site were very friendly and have provided everything needed including washer/tumbler/fresh eggs/info. Leaflets.
The best bit for our family was the fact that the children (4 & 3yrs) had great fun in the very shallow brook which runs alongside one edge of the site and just enjoyed the freedom of a small, rural site.
Great location for Snowden and the coast.
Excellent value for money. Will return.

As with all the other reviews of this site the first thing that strikes you is the amazing friendliness of the owners, and then the surroundings. The site is flat and fairly level, we went mid week and had pick of all the site bar for one or two pitches taken or reserved. An essential for us was the site is dog friendly but on a lead. The toilets and showers were clean and again free hot water and showers is something you rarely get. There is also a coin operated washer and dryer handy for a longer stay. The road is across the hedge but is very quiet with very little traffic. The down side is you do have to drive to the nearest pub, The Stag, but its well worth the drive for food and atmosphere. The only other thing I would say is buy some of the sites fresh eggs, unbelievably good!

Large caravans arriving from Abergele A548 should not attempt to turn into the campsite from this direction.
Three dogs barked constantly when anyone arrived or left the area.
£26 per night for 4 adults age from 12yrs. When has a 12yr old been classed as an adult?
Extra cost £1 laundry. Dryer broken. Showers/WC Ok. All Water/Chemical disposable/garbage areas a short walk away up a small hill.
Elec points available. Grassed area short cut. Swallow falls & Betws-y-coed are an ideal place to visit.

Visited here in the half term holidays, lovely site with a stream, as soon as we pulled up kids were straight on the stream making a dam (tip: take lots of spare clothes for the kids!)
Every morning and evening children were allowed to go and feed the animals which they loved. The lady who owned the site was lovely and very good with the children.
The toilets were new and very clean, the showers a little old but very warm and free.
Very useful was the washing machine and dryer.
Great access to lots of lovely nearby attractions by road, and a very nice pub up the road which I cannot remember the name of but was recommended by the owner, she actually rang up and booked a table for us. We visited Snowdon and Conwy and LLandudno whilst here, all lovely places to go and visit.
The only problem we had with the site was because we were in a motorhome we could not get access to anywhere by foot or bicycle, to get anywhere was really only by driving, which meant us packing up every day to set off, not really a problem but something to bear in mind, fine if you are in a tent or caravan and have a separate vehicle.
After 3 days we did leave and find a site a little closer to Betws y Coed, which is a beautiful town with lots of lovely walks and bike trails.
Overall a lovely site which I would recommend. Very child friendly and dog friendly.

What a lovely site, the owners can not do enough to help and to make you feel more welcome. They have feeding times with the animals where kids can get involved, it was nice to see a site where the kids play running around and don't need parks and games rooms to keep them amused.
And whilst the loo's and showers are small and not many in number they are cleaned several times a day and fresh eggs available from the reception.
Indoor potwashing along with a washer and dryer facility, maybe could benefit from a freezer but this wasn't really a problem. £20 a night with hook up was very reasonable for a bank holiday weekend and despite some miserable weather we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this pleasant site and will definitely return.
A very dog friendly site and definitely worth a visit, a short drive from Llanwrst and easy to get around and see North Wales.

We have just returned from this rural idyll, truly a hidden little gem of a site. Although the weather broke whilst we were there,we had a wonderful peaceful five night stay.
Beryl and Gwyn as others have described are helpful and friendly. We had the place virtually to ourselves,as throughout or stay as there were only ever two other units on the site.
The site also accepted the camping vouchers issued by The Daily Mirror which gave a reduction of around 20% per night.
There are as many have pointed out limited shower facilities, and only one washing up sink, but obviously we had no problems with that what-so-ever,but,one other thing that should be born in mind is the close proximity to the site of the main road between Abergele and Llanwrst, which is just on the other side of the stream and hedgerow.
This road is not overly busy, but some of the agricultural traffic that passes can be quite noisy in the mornings and evenings, but never very early or very late.
The closest hostelry to the site is three miles away in Llanwrst, all downhill on the way there, all uphill on the way back, just a little too far for us (especially coming back).
We were told though, you can get take-away food delivered to the site if you want it. In town there is a Spar supermarket, also a medium sized Co-Op supermarket which is tucked away behind the town and not signposted.
Overall an excellent little site with a maximum of about thirty pitches. Would we go back? Definitely.

We stayed for a couple of nights over the Easter Holidays, we had intended to stay longer with the Mirror Camping for 95p a night offer but felt that the site was a bit too quiet, as our final night there we were all alone! The facilities were generally satisfactory however we felt that the shower cubicles were not in good order taking into consideration that this was the start of the season. The area to dry and change after a shower was very tight and as the door to the shower block did not close properly (ladies) changing outside the cubicle was not an option! There was no hot water in the WC facility (ladies) and whilst the pots and pans washing up area wass good and washing machine and tumble were handy, a fridge freezer would be a valuable addition in this area.
Overall the site was ok, but no area for young children to play safely and was further out from the local town of Llanrwst than we had expected. It took a good 5 mins to get into town. The bill was much more than we had expected, in view of the Mirror offer, and certainly felt that this did not offer value for money.

Great little campsite, we will definitely be returning.
Beryl and Gwyn the owners were so welcoming, friendly and happy to be of help.
The toilet and shower block I thought would be a problem with it being August Bank holiday but considering the site was full I found that there was no problems whatsoever - in all I thought that it coped very well and it was always clean and tidy.
The only thing I had to queue for was the washing up but I don't mind that as it gives me a chance to meet and speak to other campers.
Be sure to visit the 4000 year old tree in the nearby village.

Had the pleasure of staying at this site recently, the owners couldn't do more to help and were great with the children.
Lovely peaceful campsite, plenty of wildlife,
Site was spotless, the only downside to this great little campsite was the number of showers/washing up area, 2 showers for each sex, 1 washing up sink.
Would definitely stay again.
Ideal location for touring north wales,
The kids found it great rounding up the chickens at night and going to see the new young puppies in the day.
