We had a lovely extended weekend here. Very welcoming, and a clean well kept site. Toilets and shower area cleaned often. Washing and drying facilities.
Grandchild loved being able to help let out chickens and ducks, and get soaked in the stream!
Well placed for access to Snowdonia, and a short drive to Llanwrst.
Would recommend to any one, and we are definitely returning, loved it

This is a well located site, a few miles up the hill from the small town of Llanwrst. The town itself has a Spar supermarket, a few takeaways and cafes and is close to Betws y coed and the mountains, but also to the coast at Conwy.
It was mainly tents when we were there. As noted elsewhere the owners are very friendly (Beryl was great) and there was a nice atmosphere on the site, particularly for our children, who played with the others, including in the stream. They didn't want to come home!
This is a lovely site so it seems wrong to point out negatives but there were some for us. It is small, with pretty limited facilities, which is fine (and I also think they have recently improved things and continue to do so), but with 2 showers for men and 2 for women you may have to queue if the site is busy (free hot water though!). There were no mirrors and no surfaces to put your washbag etc down on. There was also just the one sink for all washing up (so often a bit of a wait).
My main concern however was the narrow size of the pitches. We struggled to get our Vango Diablo 6 man tent on ours - in the end we couldn't park our car alongside, as we were supposed to, making it difficult for one of our neighbours.
We were also unlucky to have a group of other very noisy neighbours and it felt like they were right on top of us. The owners did help tell them to be quieter which was very much appreciated!
We really enjoyed ourselves here (even though weather not great). We would consider going back but would probably prefer to go when it was quiet (as we went on a bank holiday when the site was busy).

Just returned from a 4 day visit to this site. We have never camped in North Wales before and we were not disappointed. The site was small and friendly. My daughter loved the baby kittens and was a constant visitor to the barn were they were kept. Beryl was lovely always smiling and happy to help.
The only negative point about this site is that you need a car to get anywhere, we took our dog and would have liked more walks nearby, as there was sheep in all the nearby fields, we had to keep her on the lead. We do like to have the option to walk to a shop in the morning for a paper or provisions.
Had a lovely break and the weather was great, we will be returning to North Wales.

This is a lovely site, well maintained, Beryl and Gwyn are two of the nicest people you could meet, great with the children, including them in all the farm activities, collecting eggs, helping with the sheep, dogs and little kittens.
The facilities are basic but very clean, showers are free, small charge for the washing machine and dryer, what you would expect really, nothing is ever too much for them. My son even helped deliver a baby calf, something that will stay with us all forever. We have already booked for May and Aug, can't wait to return.

Just got back from spending five nights at the site and I would certainly go back.
The site is set in beautiful hills and nicely placed for us to visit Conway, Llandudno, Ffestiniog amongst other places. Fishing for crabs at Conway was enjoyed so much that we were made to go again so thankfully it isn't too far in the car.
The children loved playing in the stream which runs along the bottom of the site and they also enjoyed seeing the animals, especially the little chicks and the kittens. Always brutally honest, I asked them whether they wanted to go back and they unanimously said yes. There isn't a playground they didn't once ask for one.
There is a small field where you can camp which is enclosed, which is good if you are concerned about your children and the stream. We camped in the main field near the stream and although we had to keep an eye on the youngest one, it wasn't inconvenient, and they all loved it. Additionally, the sound of the flowing water at night was nice to fall asleep too. Not all pitches are close enough to the stream for you to hear it though if that doesn't appeal to you. There are some pitches available with electric hook-ups and there is also the facility to re-freeze freezer blocks if needed.
One big thing that I will remember about the site is the friendliness of the owner, Mrs Griffiths. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she was always smiling, even when she was on her way to clean the toilet block.
The toilet block wasn't huge or fancy but it did the job, so no complaints. There was a washing machine and tumble dryer which were cheap to use which was appreciated, as the weather wasn't so good, no fault of the site of course. The only problem was that the hot water in the washing area wasn't always very hot, but not a big problem as we just put a kettle full of hot water in the bowl before going to wash up.
I only got home a couple of hours ago and haven't finished unpacking yet but am already planning my next visit. On some of the bigger sites you feel anonymous, this wasn't the case here, top notch service with a smile. Thanks for a great holiday.

A really beautiful place. Beryl and son Aaron gave us a fantastic welcome. Peaceful site with lovely little stream. Use of a washing machine and tumble dryer. Toilet block only has one shower so a bit of a wait sometimes but with all the other positives it is a tiny inconvenience. The local town of Llanwrst(check spelling with Beryl) is absolutely beautiful. Take a walk down the river.
Thanks for the warm welcome Baryl and Aaron, we will definitely be back. Don't forget our roaster!

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a lovely time. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, and taught the children some welsh. Children were able to take part in looking after the ducks and geese and were shown around the small farm.
A little shallow brook running along one side gave entertainment to the children and as it was a small family site, it was friendly, quiet and safe, with only a short drive to local villages and seaside.
The facilities were basic but close by and sufficient. We will definitely go back and would recommend it for a quiet, relaxing break with the family.

FACILITIES / CLEANLINESS
Toilet block with showers, basins and a washroom. The washroom hot water is free and a small heater on the cold supply does take a while to fill a bowl. There is also a washing machine and tumble drier. Reception also has a basic shop for groceries.
FACILITIES PLUS - The facilities are spotless. There are poweder and water fire extinguishers and standpipe near the main gate and recycling bins for cans. No Grey water grid evident, but there is an open chemical disposal area fenced off. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. No fires allowed.
FACILITIES NEGATIVE - There is only 1 shower in each male/femail block and only 1 kitchen sink for 20+ tents, which means folk having to return several times to see if they are empty.
LEISURE
There is no room for a play-area, but there is a stream that flows through the site and children do like to walk along the length of ther stream - so wet shoes, towels and a change of shoes for kids is recommended. Most of the fields are private and there doesn't appear to be any walkways.
LOCATION:
Access to site by 1/8 mile one-track road, 2 passing places. The site is a small field (maybe 130' across), many tents around the perimeter, so general camp noise is louder than larger fields. There is a 6' fire-gap between each pitch, although tri-pods will enter this gap and guy-lines will cross. The site is on a slight slope, so be careful how you place your bedroom! There is no nearby shops or town within walking distance, so you will need the car.
LOCATION PLUS - Beuatiful rectangular pitch, surrounded by trees and farm fields. Electric hookups on one side of the field. The site is only 25 mins from Llandudno and 20 mins from Betws-y-Coed.
LOCATION NEGATIVE: B-road runs adjacent to site, although light traffic, lorries can be noisy when they pass through of a night. Farm fields, so expect cows and sheep noises and maybe a ploughing tractor at 11pm.
OVERALL:
A family site, despite the lack of play area and space for larger games, the stream does keep the kids occupied. The site is perhaps a bit small and facilities don't quite match the ratio of pitches offered, but a spotless site and owners really helpful and pleasant.

We have just got back from a nice weekend at the site. It is smaller than I thought, but that wasn't a problem. Our party consisted of three families of four, so we took up quite a bit of the field!
The kids enjoyed playing in the stream that runs through the bottom of the field. So make sure you bring enough changes of clothing for little ones. They also enjoyed interacting with the farm animals, it's nice of the owners to let them get involved. Mrs Griffiths was really nice and helpful.
The disappointing part of our stay was the toilets and shower. The ladies had 2 toilets and 1 shower. The shower didn't work properly, it kept going from hot to cold. The mens had 2 urinals and 1 cubicle with 1 shower, the mens shower was OK!
I would recommend this site and I will go back there.
