Great for access into St Andrews but disappointing site. Toilet block looked new from outside but clearly not upon entering. Shower cubicles small with only one having a fold down seat/shelf. Others had hooks missing. During our 2 night stay grass and mud under the matting in the shower cubicle was not cleaned and the bin not emptied.
We witnessed a fellow motorhome driver get bogged down in grass with a member of staff watching on helplessly while another holiday maker towed them out!
Shame about the poor facilities as this could be a great site!

Great location but poor facilities.
Tent field we were asked to used very wet so we got stuck but thanks to other customers we managed to get out and asked for a hardstanding pitch.
Toilet block nearest reception needs a path directly to the door to limit mud being walked in and a keypad rather than key as many customers left door ajar meaning it was absolutely freezing cold with no way the tiny wall mounted fan heater could make any difference. The toilet area needs a complete revamp.
The washing up area was the worse I've used - very bleak with the filthy bin mentioned in another review immediately adjacent to the washing area.
I mentioned my concerns to the lady at reception when we were leaving but got a very disinterested response so don't think anything will be done which is very disappointing given how lovely this location is.

Spent one night here, I thought the location was great, a nice 15 minute walk along the beach into the town of St Andrews, a really great town.
Pitch size was great and the toilet/shower facilities were fine if a little dated but not a complaint, they were clean.
They only have a couple of hook-up pitches and probably about 12 tent pitches in total.
All in all better than expected, will return as we loved St Andrews.

Now that our site is open again so happy to be back but we have a big problem. Our little shop has been closed and we were never notified of this. This is not acceptable as there are many elderly here who don't drive the shop was handy for bits and bobs also for the kids to get a sweet or bucket n spade for the beach. Newspapers milk and rolls can be gotten from the main building but it's pathetic for such a large and popular site. What are you going to do about it?

Although I have been aware of this site for many years, this was the first time I stayed on it. The location is fab, on a hillside overlooking the sea above St Andrews and walking access is good, either along a pavement next to the main road into town or along a wee clifftop path that leads to the beach and harbour. The site itself appeared to be very busy, with lots of other caravans, motor homes and folk in their static caravans, but it was incredibly quiet and peaceful, especially at night. It was a Saturday night we stayed and we'd wondered whether the fact there was a bar on site would mean there would be noise, but not at all. The toilets and shower facilities were modern and clean and more than adequate in number. The recycling and refuse area was clean and well kept. The folks on reception were friendly and helpful when I checked in. Ideal experience all round - planning a trip back with the kids in a couple of weeks.

Will be honest and only stayed on this site as the normal site we stay on near St Andrews was fully booked, but have to admit I didn't find much wrong with this site at all!
Checking in was easy and staff were nice and pleasant. Pitches are uneven but with levelling blocks it's not a problem.
Toilet block and showers were a bit dated but I found them clean.
St Andrews is a lovely town and only 1 mile 20 min walk from site with plenty to see and do. We ate at the rule diner which serves great food and drink.
Had breakfast on site in the morning at a bargain price & very tasty.
£25 is about average for a site in this area and we will return.

Just returned and VERY disappointed. No upgrades! Shower/toilet block just as bad as last year - and the year before! Out of 4 showers, only 2 had seats and only 1 had a soap dish. Out of 4 toilets, one had the same missing door lock as last year! Also, not very clean! Reported problems to management, who said they had no knowledge of these problems. Time more people complained? Owners of this site must average £30 per night per pitch, and they are busy, so you have to question where is the money going? Pitches very uneven and also haphazard as no clue as to where you can pitch, so the 'ones in the know' put up huge awnings plus windbreaks, plus parking for their cars, and the poor people who are not so brazen are left cramped into a small space. Again, reported to management, who are 'looking at it'. Don't hold your breath! Will not be back.

Great location but very slopey pitch with pot holes under awning carpet. Good location for getting to St Andrews walking dogs etc. Excellent views over bay and will go back for location if nothing else. The plot I will choose next time us at top of field so there is much more shelter as it us exposed facing sea. There was entertainment, a shop and good bus links to surrounding Fife coastal towns. Think it has been improved since was taken over.

This site is on a hill 1 mile approx from st andrews. The toilets/showers could do with an upgrade but they were kept clean during the 3 days we were there.
There is a lovely cliffside walk to the town. Not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties but there is a great bus service from the gate into town or into crail, anstruther, cuper etc
There is a well stocked shop on the site selling food papers etc
There is a club/restaurant on the site selling breakfast, lunch and evening meals and there is entertainment on some nights
St andrews is a lovely town with golf courses the usual food outlets and pubs but it can get a bit busy because of the student population and lots of visitors

We stayed here as we going to the opening day of the Women's British Open.
The pitch was awful. Even with ramps the motorhome was sloping severely. We parked side on to try and minimise the slope. The pitches are cramped so next door decided to park their car on our pitch which made it awkward when we returned in our tow car later that evening.
The playground looked decent enough although our kids didn't have time to use it.
The toilet block was filthy, the worst we have seen for a long while. The showers were somewhere else?
We were kept awake both nights by shouting into the small hours particularly after the bar had closed.
Having travelled throughout Scotland for the previous 2 weeks we found this site to be very expensive (£31 night as opposed to £20 at other nicer sites during our tour) and the worst we stayed at by a long long way. Very disappointed, will definitely never stay here again. Thankfully we only had to endure 2 nights.
