Very nice site not far from the shops in St Andrews and bus stops on the main road at the main entrance to the campsite.
The toilets and showers are very clean and well-maintained. Wardens always going around and are very approachable if help is needed.
The only downfall was the wet weather but an overall joyful break.

This site is still called Kinkell Braes Caravan Park on the St Andrews bus timetables. Two separate camping fields at a massive static site (a blot on the landscape seen from the East Sands); we chose Clifftop as it's beside the Fife Coastal Path. Didn't use the pizza place at the entrance. Quick online booking with 10% discount, £25 pn, pay for Wi-Fi, almost useless 4G signal (strength 1 out of 5).
Loved the location, with views to St Andrews; it's a 6 mile round trip to walk down to the Old Course for a walk on the famous fairways with the dog (it's allowed on Sunday). Loved the coastal path for the dog walking.
Loathed the pitches - so narrow that we could hardly fit on, and very close together. Thankfully long enough (TA caravan length) for us to park further in beyond next door's car, which was so close that we couldn't open our driver's door.
Loathed the grey water disposal: one open channel with 3 gullies, for everyone to use (motorhomes, waste-masters etc) - all 3 gullies were totally choked, the area quickly became a sizeable pond of grey soup, totally revolting, and it was difficult to avoid splashing other people's bacon bits onto my boots when I emptied our canister.
Loathed the dog situation on site - half the dogs were off lead, the dog poo bin was full up when we arrived and overflowing when we left 3 days later. (Did like the coastal path for dog walks though - but that's nothing to do with the site itself. )
And absolutely loathed the ladies showers - again, a blocked tray so I was ankle deep in water that then overflowed beyond the door; nothing to mop the shower or washroom floor with afterwards; a push-button shower that delivered 3 seconds of cool water followed by 10 seconds of warm water, not long enough to warm me up again; no stool so my clothes had to perch on the door to stay dry; no heating despite single figure temperatures overnight; the so-called extractor fan was blowing cold air INTO and over the shower area; a window was stuck wide open letting in the cold north wind. I was chilled to the bone, it was the most miserable shower experience of any campsite in 40+ years. Didn't like brushing my teeth beside a sign reading "not drinking water".
In short, we'd come back but for the location only. We won't be using the facilities: the lack of maintenance is shocking but it looks like half the field is for seasonals who will use their own showers etc, and the other half for motorhomes stopping over for one night only.

Great views from the site,
Easy access to St Andrews via coastal walk,
Clean and tidy site,
Competitive prices and smart reception area.
Staff were very helpful.
Toilet and showers were ok to better than ok, but will need some improvement over time.

Great campsite and great location but toilet and shower block is terrible - needs knocking down and rebuilding
Two of stayed here for the week to compete the Eden tournament at ST Andrews
Campsite is fab and has a papa John’s pizza and bar/terrace on site but the toilet/shower block was a real let down - old and filthy

Spent a week here with caravan and a tent in spires field pitches are a bit tight for caravan awning and car, had a walk round cliff tops field and the pitches there are more generous.
Toilets and showers block is dated but they are clean and hot water was never a problem abercorn leisure could surely afford to up date the block.
The beach is within easy reach for able bodied people- its a steep hill and quite a climb back up. Tried the restaurant have to order food and drink via the app but all orders were correct and it worked well.
A bit of investment would go a long way here, it could turn a not to bad site into a very good site probably would return some time in the future (customer service rating had to be put in it was no contact check in and out)

Good location and space. Some disturbance from noisy group but they did stop by midnight.
Toilets block is updated and difficult to keep clean. Would not take a shower there.

Touring site on the edge of very large static caravan site, the area we had had views across to St Andrews and the Firth. It was very quiet so felt quite roomy.
The hardstanding on each pitch is very narrow and very hard to drive onto without getting wheels on the very soft and wet ground to avoid getting stuck!
Washroom block was ok but getting a bit tired looking, plenty of hot water but irritating push button taps and showers that only stayed on for about 10 seconds.
It is a good location you can walk into St Andrew's either along the coast path or by the road about 20minutes, also easy to cycle in from the site as the pavement allows cying as well. Good cycle track from St Andrew's to Guardbridge and Tentsmuir.
There is a pizza place on site but didn't use it.

Location brilliant near the coastal path to St Andrews, St Andrews is worth a visit with large beach, historic buildings, shops and Street cafes.
As mentioned before the toilets are a bit dated but clean, our location was the Clifftops touring site, also as mentioned before you will need levellers as some of the pitches have a slope.
My concern was the safety aspect because touring caravans which had a awning then the car parked at the side, some had people come visit with their cars which then did not leave much room between caravans. If there was a fire it would be a disaster.
Overall it’s a big site with holiday homes, children’s play area, bar/ restaurant, pizza takeaway but Clifftops is far enough away from all that to make it a quite pleasant stay.

I can't fault the location or the view, however our stay was by far the worst we have ever had.
Due to Covid 19 it was a contactless check in, they had sent us a map of where our pitch was, they stated that the reception hours were limited but failed to state what hours this would be. They had included a phone number which went to voice mail and all emails would be responded to within 48hrs.
On our first night one of the tents behind us had an all night party, another party with young children requested several times to quieten it down only to be verbally abused. They had left a lot of litter behind the toilet block which was still there when we left.
I emailed a complaint and received a reply on the 3rd day apologising but stating the people were only there for 1 night, I was also told I could have phoned the night warden, however that information wasn't available to us.
We were unable to find the grey water drain, despite asking other campers and a member of the ground staff, no one seemed to know.
While the toilets were dated I did expect them to be clean due to Covid 19, however I went in on the second day to find one of the wash hand basins choked, on return the next day a further two were choked. On that same day on emptying the chemical waste I found there was no water for rinsing the cassette nor did it flush.
This does not appear to be a site for young families or people seeking a quiet time
