We've just spent 10 days at this lovely site with views of the mountains. We did a lot of cycling (very hilly all around) which was fabulous as 2 sustrans cycle routes pass within a couple of hundred yards - 42 & 46.
It's only a couple of miles into Abergavenny, a nice market town with probably all the facilities you need on holiday.
The site is very well run by friendly owners who were always there when needed. Nothing seemed too much trouble and this created a really friendly environment throughout the site. Toilets, showers, washing and washing up areas were all spotless and available when we needed them.
Couldn't fault them - really!

This park is a little gem! It is magic to wake up every morning to the stunning view! The site is perfectly run and maintained including the shower\toilet block. Jim and his dad are extremely helpful and obliging and nothing is too much trouble. We spent over a week here and enjoyed every minute of it. We can't believe the special price for the over 50s either!
We will certainly be recommending this place to everyone we meet.
Thanks for a great service!

After a warm welcome we were assigned a pitch with outstanding views of the surrounding countryside.
All the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The toilets and showers were extremely clean but you need to take some 50 pence pieces for the showers.
There is a very large car boot sale near and Abergavenny town is just a short ride away and the lanes surrounding the site are great for walking.
I would recommend this site and hope to return

Lovely site with views of Sugar Loaf, Blorange and Skirrid, and lovely pear trees separating all the pitches, beautiful setting. Very friendly and helpful owner.
Brilliant deal of £65 a week for over 50's when we were there. The electricity is on a meter, which only cost us about £1. 20 a night and we had the heating on at night for at least 5 nights. They also have a brand new toilet/shower block.
So much to do in the area if you want, or just sit on site with the beautiful views. Abergavenny is a really lovely town to visit and great markets as well.
Thank you for a lovely time - would definitely go there again and recommend it to everyone.

A lovely site in many ways as others have said, but we didn't particularly like the 'regimented' feel given by the rows of small pear trees which delineate each pitch and I imagine that when these trees have grown the pitches will feel rather claustrophobic. At the moment there are lovely views from some parts of the site but I imagine these will be obstructed by the trees later. Each pitch is open to the south though, so it's easy enough to obtain a Sky tv signal (very important!)
I agree that a small shop would be a good idea, and a sign on the corner of the Ross road, as this is the way that AA routeplanner suggests from the M50. Personally, having tried both ways, I think it's better, although a bit longer, to use the A40.
We would certainly use this site again, it's very convenient for the town and easy to get everywhere, cheap midweek rates and cheap weekly rates (£65 plus cheap ehu) for over 50s.

This weekend was our second consecutive to this site. First weekend it was just myself and the wife, second was ourselves, my daughter and family in a large tent and my son and family in another large tent. We were allocated pitches alongside each other and it worked a dream. Electric cost was minimal.
Not far from Abergavenny for food shopping, short walk to golf club either to play or use the clubhouse for food or a drink. So impressed with welcome and site have booked a seasonal for next year. Price is £1200 for beginning of March till end of October, electric extra(pay for what you use)

Visited here for the first time. Stunning views of the sugarloaf mountains. Park owners were really friendly and welcoming.
Lovely clean shower/toilet blocks. Ideal for a quiet weekend away. EHU was via token but we only used £1 in 2 days.
Abergavenny is about 2. 5 miles away.
Could do with a playground for children.
Will definitely be visiting here again in the future and have already recommended to others. Fantastic site.

One of those rare sites that you want to keep a secret - but so nice you just have to share.
Site is minutes from Abergavenny centre - but very much in the countryside.
Upon arrival the owner told me to choose a pitch, sort myself out and then worry about the money. Refreshing.
The pitches are the largest I have ever seen. Mainly as they are lined with fruit trees, and space has been designed for when they are mature. At the moment they are caravan height but narrow. EHU on each pitch and water between 2 pitches. The site gently slopes from top to bottom allowing each pitch a view of the 3 mountains surrounding th site.
The site has an excellent shower block and toilet.
Niggles - I have to have some - showers would benefit from a shelf or bench to put 'stuff' on. Didn't bother us, but the washing up area struggles to get hot water (people were filling bowls from the toilet basins). No shop on site - but you are a 90 seconds drive to newsagent / off licence.
Remuneration - I am not a fan of paying separately for EHU. On sites near to this one the EHU has cost me £6 for 2 days. Here, you put on the amount of money you think you will need - and get REFUNDED what you don't use. We has 2 wet days and so the TV, phones, computers etc were all plugged in - EHU cost us £1. 20 for 2 days. Showers are 50p each, but there s a family shower with 2 showers in it - both showering for 50p.
Didn't bother me a bit as the site is only £15 a night

What a fab site. Jim and his family will do anything for you.
Family friendly site would recommend this site to everyone.
Pitches are good size with EHU. Plenty of water taps dotted around the site. Gravel and grass. Toilets and shower block were excellent and very clean.
Fire pits are allowed so it's possible to sit out around a fire and enjoy the spectacular night skies.
No shop on site but town only a few minutes away with big choice of shops, Lots in local area worth visiting such as Abergavenny, Brecon and the Blaenavon world heritage site

Access to the site is easy. The wide entrance is just half a mile from the B4521 (Ross Rd) just outside Abergavenny.
This is a new site set on a slightly sloping field amongst the Orchard. Each pitch is equipped with electric hookup and there is a tap and waste drain on every two pitches. All pitched have a gravel hard standing and are generous in size.
The site is set in the open countryside just outside Abergavenny and provided stunning views of The Sugarloaf, The Blorrange, The Skirrid and other surrounding hills. It is possible to walk up some directly from the site.
AS this is a new site, the facilities block is immaculate and modern. There is no club house on site but the Wernddu Golf Club is only a short walk down the hill. Fire pits are allowed so it's possible to sit out around a fire and enjoy the spectacular night skies.
A good value site, with very obliging owners. This is one I can see us returning to.
