Owner was very pleasant and helpful. Each pitch is bordered by trees, which was nice, but the site seemed more suited for caravans and motorhomes and the tents were just allocated a small row at the bottom of the field. Unless you wanted an EHU in which case the pitch was only just big enough for our tent and was half sharp gravel and not really suited to a tent pitch.

Toilets were clean and tidy, but cant comment on the showers as I didn't use them, although I did overhear someone say they were lukewarm.

Visit spoiled somewhat by the arrival of the Bongo owners club, who seemed oblivious to the 11pm quiet rule. However this was quickly sorted by the owner when several people complained. Would recommend to caravan and motorhome owners, unfortunataly though not to tents.

Before we arrived I received good communication from Jim by phone and email to confirm our booking. On arrival he was very helpful and it had a professional feel, for a small family run business.

The site was a good size and each pitch had a gravel section to it - I guess aimed for the motorhome users.

The site was clean and well looked after.

The toilet block was new and clean - all the toilets were open (following on from another reviewers comments) and the showers were hot. (50p for 5 mins).

Pot wash - there was no set pot wash area, just a large sink in the laundry room to use, only cold water available unless you washed up in the toilet sinks.

It was a 5 minute drive away from the nearest shops (Tesco metro in Abergavenny or a bigger Waitrose on the outskirts of the town). No items for sale on site so you need to be prepared and bring all your food and drink with you.

Nearby attractions included Raglan Castle (good for the kids to climb over) and in Ebwe Vale at Festival Park outlet centre, there is Supertubing (5 slides for £5), free owl santuary and free outdoor adventure play for the kids. Worth a visit

What a gem! The owner, couldn't have been more helpful. We only live 20 mins away but still managed to get lost and rang him for directions. He waited at the entrance to the site to make sure we found it. Pitches are good size with EHU. Plenty of water taps dotted around the site. Gravel and grass. Toilets and shower block were excellent and very clean. No shop on site but town only a few minutes away with big choice of shops. So peaceful, with walks to the Skirrid mountain just outside the site. A little expensive for the time of year but will visit again.

Spent 4 nights at this excellent site. Great value for money with excellent facilities either already in place, or planned. Owner always helpful and cheerful. Stayed during week and was quiet which was great for us but owner deserves to have a busy site. No play area but kids enjoyed exploring the area.

We had busy days in forest of Dean and did not get much chance to explore locally so can't comment on shops or pubs locally but the site is set in beautiful surroundings- great sunsets!

Will definitely return to explore more locally.

I spent 4 restful and comfortable weeks on this beautiful site in August. It is in a stunning setting and the pitches are generous with all you would need close to hand at a very reasonable cost.

I had a fresh water tap and a grey water drain on my pitch.

This is a new site with new buildings and young fruit trees and some things are not quite finished. But this does not spoil the experience as the place is tidy, clean and has stunning views.

Also the owner is lovely and takes good care of his guests doing whatever he can to make the stay as enjoyable as it can be.

This place will be hard to beat and once the word gets around I am sure it will become very popular. I thoroughly recommend it.

What a lovely site this is! Fabulous surroundings and beautifully laid out pitches with pear tree hedging. The owner is very friendly and helpful and the facilities are excellent, lovely clean spacious showers and toilets.

The site is still being developed so some minor issues eg hot water for dishes being sorted out. We enjoyed 2 lovely nights in a spacious pitch for our tent. Site is compact but flat and very well drained, weather was wet during our stay but no puddles or mud at all.

We had no need of hook up but this being on a token, charge as you use sounds great. Site is in a former orchard and environment of this has been preserved complete with an abundance of plumbs!

Other people have commented on need for a small shop or play area for older children, we were extremely happy with our pitch and clean washing facilities and the beautiful surroundings.

Lots in local area worth visiting such as Abergavenny, Brecon and the Blaenavon world heritage site.

Will definitely return and will recommend.

Have just returned from 2 nights at this site and can only agree with everyone else.

Great little site with gorgeous stunning views and surroundings. Very easy to get to as it's not too far from the main road (which you can't hear from the site) so very easy to navigate if you're trailing something

Very conveniently located as it's just a 2-3 minute drive to Abergaveny. There's a car boot a mile away, on Sundays, (which we discovered doesn't start until 11am. After we walked there at 9am. Oh well, enjoyed the walk).

We received a very friendly welcome from the start and throughout. There were plenty of pitches with EH and water very near by. The shower / toilet block was very clean and the showers were lovely and warm

As mentioned this site is 'under development' so will be even better when the extra bits and pieces are added like extra washing up facilities and a play area for kids.

The electricity is on metres and ours came to 75p a day (and that's with a TV and a heater)

In short, it's a gem and we'll very definitely be going back

This camp site is in a beautiful area of Wales and has lovely views from all plots.

It is a new camp site that seems to be coming along very nicely.

Lovely friendly welcome and helpful owners.

Good hot showers though a bit annoying that you need to keep pushing the button every 30 seconds or so.

Hard standing for campervan very good.

Electricity charged per unit used so very cheap!

Using trees to separate plots is a nice touch.

No shops close by so a drive is required to get food etc.

Had a lovely stay at this campsite. Clean well built toilet/shower block. Well planned out site. Very cheap electricity hook up.

Very helpful staff, they have big plans for this site. Waiting for red tape to be sorted. They are planning play area extension, better washing up facilities and hair drying room.

Beautiful views of surrounding hills, sugarloaf and skirrid Can't wait to go back again.

Close to Abergavenny which has everything you need for your break. Local fruit farm and golf club.

Close to hills for lovely walks.

Great little site. Long, narrow pitches. Possibly not suitable for very large tents? New facilities. Friendly owner and family. Close to town, 10 minute drive. Good views of surrounding area.

We stopped here after seeing Judas Priest in Newport, about 30 mins away. Blaenavon Pit worth descending and Sugar Loaf worth ascending.

As English campers we were pleased to find a warm welcome from other Welsh campers although we didn't fly our St Georges Cross, just in case.

Can recommend this new site for caravaners/glampers. A good find.
