We had 3 lovely days here. The views of the mountains are stunning and it is a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside. The nearest shop is only a couple of minutes drive away but there isn't one within quick walking distance but we didn't find this a problem, we stocked up on food and drink and had a great bbq on the site.
The site itself is very clean and the pitches are well spaced out. The toilets and showers are spotless and we only used £2.00 electric for the whole time we were there.
The site owner was really friendly and very helpful, we will definitely be returning soon.

What a gem of a site. Owner extremely welcoming and friendly. Superb layout with plenty of space around you with water and drainage within meters of pitch. Stunning views and a great feeling on the campsite.
Only meant to stay a couple of nights but decided to stay a week. That good!
Would definitely come back and recommend it to others. Although would like to keep it quiet at the same time!

Visited the site with my family for a weekend.
On arrival the owner was very warm and welcoming couldn’t do enough for us, asked me to choose any pitch that we liked.
The site is very clean and tidy and the views are stunning. The pitches are a very good size and there was water and drainage on our pitch which was great. The electric is on a credit meter and using a kettle tv and also blown heating we only used £1.50 all weekend.
The toilet/shower block was extremely clean with hot water at all times.
We were very impressed with this site and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be returning very soon !

Stayed here in March 2011 and must say this is one of the cleanest and best maintained sites we have stayed on.
The free showers and toilets were always immaculately kept clean and we had our own water mains connection as I think most if not all of them had.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us.
We were also supplied with a doggy poo bin to keep the dog mess in.
Best of all though were the magnificent views of the Sugar Loaf, Skirrid, and Blorenge mountains, all within walking distance. Both my wife and I and our two Jack Russells hiked from our caravan to the top of the Skirrid the one day and drove just 5 mins to hike up to the top of the Sugar Loaf the next day. Very rewarding.
I would highly recommend this site and will definitely be returning.

This site had only been open 10 weeks, but what a fab site, the owners are so friendly. The site has fantastic views of the mountains its a walkers dream.
The toilet block was very modern and when we went August bank holiday the site was full but never had to queue for toilets or showers.
From the site there are lots of places to visit, we went to Hereford, Hay-wye and driving through the black mountains is a must. We will certainly be using this site again.
A gem of a site for wales I would recommend that next year you will have to book because the more people find out about this site the more popular it will become

Visited the site with my young children and friends with their children and had a great week.
On arrival the owner was very warm and welcoming couldn’t do enough for us, asked me to choose any pitch that we liked, and let him know if we required the grass cutting but it was fine.
The site is very clean and tidy and the views are stunning. The pitches are a very good size and there was water and drainage on our pitch which was great. The electric is on a credit meter which I haven’t come across before but it was very cost effective.
The toilet/shower block was extremely clean with hot water at all times.
The site had only been open for 9 weeks and the owner has big plans for this site
Overall my family and I were very impressed with this site we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be returning!

This is a very pleasant site. It has superb facillities. Very accomodating owners who really want you to have a good experience of their new site (only been open nine weeks). Lovely views and it has spacious pitch areas. This site is a few minutes away from the Black Mountains and Abergavenny.
E.H.U was by card meter on a pay as you use basis. Because we had a minor glitch in our supply we didn't have to pay for any electricity. That's how accommodating the owners are. Looking to going back a.S.A.P
There are adequate toilet facilities and lots of showers. It was a busy bank holiday but not once did I have to queue or wait for a free shower. More than enough facilities in a brand new building. Could do with some hand dryers though.
The stars at night were amazing.

I stayed at this site for two nights last week, excellent facilities lovely roomy showers with lots of hot water, spacious pitches well sectioned by trees, with large gravel area for parking.
Owners very pleasant and available anytime. As I am a lone woman camper, this is very reassuring to have a warden on site all night.
Its a very new site but well thought out,There is a dog walk area, and there is a small children's play area. They have lots more plans coming up, which should make this site a brilliant place to stay for touring Hereford / Mommoth and surrounding area. There are some very beautiful views from the site.
It is only a short drive into Abergavenny, where there are plenty of shops, cafe's and other eating places,I had a lovely lunch at the Angel Hotel very reasonably priced, there's an interesting Flea market on Wednesday, plus plenty of local History, the Parish Church is another venue not to be missed.
I would certainly recommend this site. Oh! and the great thing here is, site fees are the same all year round, no increase for school holidays.

A lovely sight with panoramic views over Sugar Loaf mountain and Skirrid.
The owners were very helpful and friendly.
Clean toilets and showers with hot water included in the price. Could do with a few more dish washing facilities though.
The electric hookup system is one I've not encountered before but it made me aware of how much other campsites are profiting from nightly charges.
Running fridge, radio, kettle and toaster I only used 75 pence after a three night stay.
A walk of about 1.5 miles into Abergavenny an excellent centre for exploring the Black Mountains.

Visited for a 2 night break during half term with my 5 yr old daughter.
First and lasting impressions were excellent. Arrival smooth, asked to have a wander round to find a suitable pitch, owner advised that if I would like the grass cut again at my pitch just shout and he would do so straight away, no need as perfect. Each pitch enclosed with young trees and superb views from the site.
Toilet and shower block very clean and warm water in all taps! Water available every couple of pitches. Beautiful, quiet, safe for kids, friendly owner. Site has very recently opened and talking to the owner he has some fantastic plans for the future to grow living arches from willow under which to pitch your tent as well as living tunnels for the kids etc. Owner also advised that he has forged a local link on order to provide bbq venison etc once he has more visitors etc. Very very pleasant indeed. We will absolutely certainly be back.
