Just stayed on this site for 9 nights as a centre for visiting the National Trust Properties of Hughenden Manor, Ascott House, Waddesdon Manor and Stowe and to visit RAF Hendon all of which were really worth visiting, but what of Gullivers.
Well Jason, Debbie, Andy and his wife were all very welcoming and helpful with all of them exceeding the call of duty - well done to them. The site is well kept despite the fact that as a shared with site with Gullivers and additional management factors factored in there seemed to be a lack of investment with the toilet block being just adequate, and it is showing signs of its age and really there are not enough toilets for the number of people who could be on the site at any one time. The shower cubicles are small and the toilets too with frequent attacks from the toilet seat whilst enthroned!
There are two main unit areas with mostly motorhomes, touring caravans and campervans at the top of the site but not exclusively so and the bottom of the site used for the same but with many more tent units and children. There were many more tents and children at the weekends in school term time.
There was a constant hum of traffic which increased with the sound of boy racer cars (noisy exhausts) and wannabe Valentino Rossi bikers with aftermarket silencers(lack of) who are addicted to 10, 000 r. P. M. Between the MK roundabouts.
It's a shame that there is a lack of investment but I can't see that happening given the current shared status of the site.
We would use the site again but would probably look for somewhere else first.
One big groan, and that is, DO NOT USE THE POSTCODE (says so in the C&CCS handbook apparently)for this site on your SatNag. You must follow the brown camping signs as provided by the Highways mob into Newlands. There is no mention that it is a C&CCS on the sign so be warned! I heard others complaining about this on site.

We've just returned from a fabulous weekend at this site. We were met at the gate by the wardens who were both really friendly and very professional. They'd chosen a great pitch for us, near to the playground as they thought this would be great for our two year old which it was! The facilities were lovely, the shower block and toilets spotless and the family bathrooms made showering a joy rather than the usual mission.
Gulliver's Land is no more than a 10 minute walk away through a beautifully maintained public park. We'd read mixed reviews about Gullivers but actually we had a really nice time - it's the perfect size for a day trip with a toddler and there were 12 rides he could go on which we were delighted with. And it's close enough to nip back to the campsite for lunch and a cup of coffee which saved us a few pennies.
This campsite is only an hour's drive for us and I can see us returning a few times in the next couple of years!

It being several months since we stayed here the things that stand out in the memory are very friendly and helpful staff; a surprise at how nice MK is and the ease with which we were able to get to London.
On arrival the wardens could not have been more helpful.
Facilities were good, kept both clean and warm.
We stayed here to enable us to get down to Harrow one day and London the next and this was ideal. We spent one afternoon and one morning exploring locally and the site is in a great spot.

There is so much to do and see from this site as well as visiting Gullivers next door. There are many walks direct from the site, Willen Lake, Campbell Park, The canal towpath. The MK Redway cycle network is family friendly and great for exploring the many parks and lakes around the city. It’s worth buying a Redway map. The National Cycle Network passes the site with route 6 and route 51. The Grand Union Canal passes just outside the gate with opportunities for fishing or canoeing. Central Milton Keynes shopping centre is quite close and good for retail therapy. A visit to the Bletchley Park WW2 code breaking site is fascinating and slightly further a field is Woburn Abbey and Safari Park.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and kept the site clean and tidy. However at around 5 years old both the toilet block and the caravan hard standings were already showing signs of their age. It would appear there was a lack on investment in quality materials when the site was new. I didn’t think they were up to normal camping club standards. The showers worked well but the cubicles were unbelievably small. However, ignore my moaning, book in and discover all that MK has to offer.

This was our first visit to Gulliver's Campsite and I have to say we were impressed. We stayed in the new Camping Pods for 2 nights. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and happiness from the staff. They are basic with 1 x power socket and 1 Porch light and an internal light. They were very warm at night even though they have no heating. The site was well laid out with a greats kids climbing frame/slide for them to play on in the centre of the site. As we were a family the owners have 2 x family private bathrooms with a walk in shower which they will give you an entry code and you can share this bathroom with another 2 families. They were always spotless and fresh. The main shower block unit is as well very clean and fresh. They do however close these for 2 hours a day to deep clean. There is a laundry facility on site (we did not use this) but seems very good. There is a nice dry room with sinks etc for washing up, and also I believe a place to warm baby bottles and food as well. The site appeared to be a safe and secure place to be and it was really hard to believe that you were in the middle of Milton Keynes when on site! If you fancy a few nights away and take the kids to a little theme park then this is the place to go! There was a great marina 5 mins walk away with a Brewers Fayre Pub/Restaurant with some great food and very good prices! They have just opened up a little kids play area as well. I have 5 kids and a 2 course meal and drinks for them and me and my wife cost around £50 so I thought it was god anyway!
We will go back as the kids thought the site was great. They got camping and a theme park trip in one weekend. Smiles all round from them!

Only stayed for one night as a stop over.
Site very nice and stewards very helpful.
Showers very small with water that couldn't be thermostatically controlled so was on the side of too hot for me. Added to which in the first one I used there was a small line of mold round the edge of the sealant and the water didn't run away so you were standing in around 1. 5 inches of water, not very pleasant.

Used as a over night stop over enroute to the south, nicely laid out site next to the theme park, the occasional woodies rattling past can be heard.
Showers and toilets are very busy in the morning and evenings, kept clean, however floors covered with mud and grass despite the weather being in the mid twenties. Plenty of BBQs being started up most of the day leaving parts of the site in a blue haze.
Lots of nice walks in the sounding parkland area, we didn't visit any local pubs or restaurants, so cannot comment of service.
Good TV and wifi reception, very busy site, if you want piece and quite try an adults only site.

Relatively new to camping and this is only the third time camping. Must say we dropped on for the weather and we have two kids under six so overall we have had a fantastic weekend as it is literally two minutes walk from all the attractions. Facilities were great and staff couldn't be more helpful.
The weekend was only spoiled by the presence on site of a family of travellers. Sorry to say they allowed their three children to run riot the entire weekend. Coming to so head on the Sunday night when the kids proceeded to swing on all the tent lines and kick a football at the shower block doors to try and break the windows. With no recourse to contact staff at midnight we would have happily packed up and left if we could have.
The site overall is excellently located but the other campers caravaners etc appear to be allowed to run free with feral kids damaging anything they get their hands on. Won't go back and was an important lesson for newbie campers to be more selective with sites we stay on.

We chose this as it's only 40 minutes from home and one of our dogs doesn't travel well. Pleasantly surprised, I wouldn't have known I was next to a theme park. Very cosy for a C&CC site, lovely and clean, fantastic welcome when we arrived. All the things we like C&CC for.
The site was next door to Willen Lake and there is loads of dog walking. The Lakeside pub was literally fifteen minutes walk (safe for dogs off leads on the walk which is always a bonus, no roads in sight) and had a beer garden which had under cover bits so we could sit there with the dogs even though it was raining. We a definitely going to be regulars here (the site not the pub!).
I gave 6/10 for facilities as I there wasn't a shop in reception that I could see and there weren't enough toilets and showers in the ladies (although my husband tells me the men's were the same as everywhere and I have obviously been spoilt at other sites!). If I missed the shop then sorry, because everything else was great.

This site is in the middle of Milton Keynes and right next to the child-magnet Gullivers Land theme park. Not a promising location! However, this site was such a delight. The location is good for walking to a number of features such as the clean, efficient Germanic Willen Lake and the Grand Union Canal. Ramblers should be advised that there's a lot of fabulous walking surrounding MK. Try around Quainton and Towcester. Lots of disused railways to go and track down. As to the site, I stayed twice this summer and got good service both times. Pitches are of good size, even if the showers aren't: think phone box with the phone still in it. Staff here are from the top drawer. Highly recommended
