We really enjoyed our stay at this site and have booked for the next Bank holiday.
It is in a great location close to the water sport facilities on Willen lake, the Grand Union Canal, miles of cycle paths, a few minutes walk from Campbell park which hosts various events and activities, Milton Keynes vast array of shops and not forgetting Gullivers Land and associated attractions.
The camp site has negotiated a 2 and 3 day discounted rover type ticket to all of Gullivers land attractions at MK, We did not go to Gullivers land this time as the kids have been before but I expect to be using the discounted passes in the not to distant future.
The site managers were very friendly and helpful.
This appears to be quite a new site that is being improved all the time.
The facilities were clean and tidy and kept warm, my glasses steamed up each time I entered them!
All in all a great site.

Just had a weekend at this site what lovely wardens with helpful information. It has been 33yrs since I lived in Milton Keynes and what a change.
The site is away from the fairground so very little noise, it shuts early so not a problem.
I am going through mid life and learning to ride a bike again but hate roads, this is the best place to ride a bike so many cycle paths and safe for other riders and pedestrians.
The site is so close to Milton Keynes main shopping and close to Willen Park all within walking distance.
The facilities were spotless and although without our Grandchildren this time will take them in the holidays.
You feel so in the country we could not believe we were so close to everything Milton Keynes has to offer. I Would recommend this site to us more mature people as there are different areas for your comfort.
Will be back with the Children and Grandchildren.

The site was very quiet when we visited and we were given a choice of pitches, however all of the pitches seemed to be spacious and flat.
The site was quiet and felt surprisingly rural given it's location.
There is plenty of scope for biking and walking for the site although we just had a short spin out on our bikes there was plenty of options to go further.
The facilities were always clean and I rarely saw anyone else using them. They do have a funny smell - a result of water recycling - but didn't find it an issue.
The shower cubicles are on the small side, but again not an issue. The water in the showers is a set temperature which was on the hot side in the ladies.
Overall, a pleasant campsite if you have reason to be in Milton Keynes.

Campsite as expected for a club site, nicely spaced out level pitches, well maintained, modern clean toilet block.
The children's play area is very small and didn't occupy my 8 year old daughter for long.
However the reason we were here was because of the close location to Gullivers and that kept us busy for pretty much a whole day.
We found the 'splash zone' a bit expensive (£16. 00 for a family of 4, with the 2 adults only there as spectators)and although the brochure says 'great for all ages' I would say that over 12 year olds would find it difficult to find much to do other than use a couple of slides. If you do decide to use splashzone I would recommend going to Gullivers first, as on leaving we were handed an adults go free at splash zone voucher.
I found the wardens at the campsite friendly but getting local info was like getting blood from a stone, particularly one of the male wardens. When asked if the canal went anywhere I was told Birmingham to London! I then asked if there was maybe a canal side pub and was told 'no, not canal side'. As it happens a lady heard me and pointed out that there was a village pub called 'the lock' just a stroll from the canal.
I later also asked about facilities at willen lake and was told there was ducks and boats, oh and a funfair is there all this week.
It turns out that the lake has not only ducks and boats but also two giant modern play areas for little ones and for older children to play on, a cafe that sells all day breakfasts, coffee paninis, ice cream, cakes etc, wakeboarding, a miniature railway, a pub with seating overlooking the lake (meals 2 for £10 all day every day)a cycle path all around the lake, a farmers market on every Sunday, ice cream vans etc. All within a 15 minute walk from the campsite.
I found the campsite peaceful and not overly busy even for peak season.
The only noise was the near by fireworks that I could hear on the Saturday and Sunday night, turns out that there was a free live music event at near by Cambell park called 'summer fayre festival' I would have gone had known about the event, unfortunately the leaflets for the event were hidden behind the Chinese take away menus at reception!
We enjoyed our stay and would camp hear again if in the area but I think the reception staff need to work on promoting the area better in order to give the site more appeal than the obvious Gulliver attractions.

Have just returned from a week at this very pleasant, extremely well maintained site. Could not fault the location with pitches being nicely spaced. Very good cleaning facilities, with my only gripe being a lack of water pressure in the showers.
Great place for the kids to run around with a small play area and a large playing field next door. It's only a 2 minute walk from the site to Gulliver's Theme Park. The kids particularly enjoyed Splashzone.
We didn't use the shop on-site but items appeared to be overpriced as there are no alternatives close by. There didn't even appear to be anywhere to pop out to for a newspaper! If you need something then a car is required.
All in all we would very happily return to this site.

We have just returned from this site and, on the whole, found it to be a pleasant place to stay. We booked a grass pitch and were given a spacious pitch in a corner, next to a hedge where there is a gap to cross over the exit road to another field and the facilities.
Because my husband is a wheelchair user, I will judge this site from a carers' perspective. Our biggest gripe was the awful ungraded stone, used for the hardstandings and roads. Getting through the gap was hard work, not only because of the straddled fence but because of the wheelchair casters snagging on the stone.
The disabled facilities are accessible by radar key. Layout as expected but, for some reason, there was no shelf in the shower cubicle, necessitating the need to put shower gel and shampoo bottles on the floor. This is totally impractical for someone who has no spinal control. Another grab handle would be beneficial in the shower.
On the plus side, the location of the site is perfect for wheelchairs because of the network of cycle paths leading direct from the gate. The shopping centre is approx 1 m away and easily accessible using the cycle paths.
I enjoyed my time-out walking alongside the canal - very peaceful and a haven for wildlife.

We stayed here for the Silverstone Formula 1 weekend. We found it easy to get in and out of the circuit from the campsite. 30 minutes each way on Friday and Saturday. 90 minutes each way on race day. Other than that I'm sorry to say that I have little else positive to say about the site and wouldn't recommend it other than as a cheap base when attending the Grand Prix.
I found the staff particularly unhelpful. For example the C&CC had been advertising this site as a base for the F1 weekend but we were told when we asked a day in advance, that it was tough that we couldn't get our car out before 7. 30am on race day as they barriers would be locked.
Bins were overflowing with rubbish piled up on the floor around them. The site was busy but by no means full to capacity. Family changing rooms were locked and reception closed when people went to get a key. All previous comments about showers being too small and toilets being out of order are correct. Our overall impression was of a site that was run by rules to make life easier for the wardens rather than to ensure that campers had a pleasant stay.
Provisions on sale in the shop were less than basic, but there is a large Sainsbury's a short drive away. Plenty of cycle tracks round and about but a bit too close to town for me and I could hear traffic from the road. Lake nearby that you can walk or cycle round but it all felt a bit manufactured for me rather than natural, but then I suppose that's what you get with a 'new town. '
Would I stay here again? Only if it was for an F1 weekend and only because £80 for the campsite is cheaper than £500 for a hotel room during that peak weekend.

Just got back from this little treasure of a site. Very clean and well kept, moderate size site for caravans, trailer tents and tents. All, I think, well catered for.
Decent sized toilet block, family wash rooms, laundry, inside washing up facilities even a small recreation room with table football. There is a new looking play area for children from about 3-11yrs. Grass areas flat, hard standing is quite hard in places to get pegs into, rock pegs are handy.
Staff friendly and helpful. There are no sign posts to the site but follow the signs to the Eco park and you cant miss the camping and caravan club sign on the gate at the end of the road. There is no need for your car once you have arrived on site.
All of Milton Keynes best attractions are within walking or cycling distance. This site is perfect for young families as no more than 5 mins walk from the gate is Gulliver Land Theme Park for children up to about 9 years.
Ten minutes walk away is Willen Lake with water sports, cafe and restaurant/pub, lovely to sit and have a drink and watch the boats and swans on the lake. The lake, I believe, is about 3 miles round, which is lovely for a walk or cycle.
There are several cycle routes that start from right outside the site and the reception sells the maps for just 50p. Milton Keynes shopping centre is only about half an hour walk away for those that need their retail therapy fix.
Even though these attractions are all within walking distance this site is still peaceful and we will definitely be going back.

We stayed here on the May Bank HOliday weekend and there was plenty of space still. A large spacious campsite with good access to the Gullivers kingdom.
One play area which is quite central, unfortunately our 3 year old could hardly go on it due to unsupervised 8-9 year olds who hogged it and were making it unusable for younger ones.
Toilets and showers were clean and easily found, rarely had to queue for them. They also had a child's toilet. Annoyingly, we were not told about the family showers until after reception had closed so do ask when you check in, I think it was a £5 deposit for the key but a bigger area to use.
Easy to drive into Milton Keynes so we used the supermarket there and went to Xscape etc.
Would stay again.

As most people have commented there were a few teething problems at this site last year. However, it is a new site and these things happen. Returning this year things were much better. The wardens as usual are brilliant, the waste emptying points had been raised so waste did not go everywhere. This site is lovely, plenty to do in the area which is only about a mile from the shopping centre. A walking and cycling haven and Gullivers Land next door. Plenty of open spaces and facilities are brilliant apart from the small shower cubicles. A good site for dogs as well. Even though my water pump was leaking and I left my watch in the washing up area, I still enjoyed this site. Some nice person handed the watch in to reception and the wardens helped me with the pump. Thankyou.
