Firstly the Holiday Site Managers/Assistants were absolutely brilliant. They were, as mentioned earlier, being moaned at for things others have made a mess of. The showers are far too small, & they were having ongoing problems with the sewerage, the smell occasionally was terrible, but they did everything they could to keep it to a minimum. All other systems worked well for us.
The surrounding area is fantastic for cycling, walking, fishing, eating, drinking, shopping.Etc. The shopping centres are huge & easily accessible. The City is easy to navigate, many cycle routes make it easy to get around. When the roundabout system is studied it makes a lot of sense along with the road id system of letters/numbers.
A return trip is on the cards for a couple of weeks next year as the good easily outweighs the few bads. The team are very enthusiastic & are putting everything into getting it all sorted.
As I said at the start the team are absolutely brilliant, & so is their homemade bread!

Just returned from a 3 day break at this site with my 2 daughters age 9 and 11.
Cannot fault this site. The managers could not have been more helpful, even lending us an extension for the electric as ours would not reach. The toilet and shower blocks are of a very high standard and cleaned regularly, even saw one of the managers cleaning before 7am.
The site is in a good location, not only for Gullivers but for access to the Willen lake complex. Access to the famous Redway cycle routes is easy. We were provided with cycle maps on arrival and an information sheet with other local info. And it is only a few minutes from City Centre.
Fresh bread, eggs and other basics are on sale at the shop.
My children really enjoyed their stay here as did I. We will definitely be returning.
Milton Keynes has a lot to offer to anyone prepared to look past the 'roundabout' stories. And this site is a perfect place to use as a base.
P.S. Although the c&c club don't let you pre-book pitches if you can get 55, its great!

This site has a fantastic location, not only right by Gullivers which my daughter (2.5yrs old) loved but right by a lake, parks and canal. We took the bikes and we were so pleased we did as we managed to cycle everywhere without going on road at all. You could even get into Milton Keynes town centre by bike.
The facilities at the campsite were not the best we have ever had. Quite often there was a shower or toilet that was closed due to problems. The showers were extremely cosy and didn't have the best water pressure. The showers in the family room were better, but this room could have done with a baby changing unit or just somewhere to put the baby other than on the hard tiled floor. They close the whole toilet/shower block for 2 hours from 10.30 and you can only use portable loos out the back.
Our caravan awning had to be pitched onto the hardstanding and this had some massive stones underneath, so it was impossible to go out of the caravan without shoes on. There were a couple of guys working on this on the other pitches though, so this could change in the next few weeks.
We ordered some fresh bread from the shop, but we think it was probably made in a bread maker rather than an actual bakers, it was ok but not as nice as proper fresh bread.
The washing up facilities weren't that great either as the drainers didn't actually drain, so you'd put the washing up on the side and it would be sat in the water.
I think the main problem is that they have tried to do everything cheap (B&Qs finest!), ie toilets, showers and it is starting to break. It may get a bit hectic if they get busier in the school holidays.
Also, take some insect spray with you, my Husband got bitten quite badly. I think as the site is so close to the canal, there were lots of bugs around. The canal is literally 2 mins walk out of the gate and Willen Lake is about 5 mins walk.
All things considered, we are looking to go back in Aug as the location is great, I am just hoping they have done a few upgrades by then.

We visited this site as we passed through Milton Keynes on a family cycling tour. The location is central - very unusual for a campsite - and we stayed only one night as we were passing through MK. It was comparatively expensive for a tent with no electric, but the facilities (showers, loos, washing up area etc) were spotless and we really welcomed the commercial washer and dryer available.
The facilities were really excellent with the one exception of the showers which had tiny cubicles, and one of those annoying push taps, which you had to keep pressing, and had warm but not hot water (no temperature adjustment). But the showers were clean and plentiful, so I can certainly put up with that. The tent area had soft grass and was nice and flat, and we pitched right next to the children's play area (a little young for my two - 8 and 10 - but brilliant for little ones).
We did wander into the next field to see the huge flock of geese and play with some of the outdoor toys. The owners could not have been nicer or more helpful, and we are planning to go back at some stage and explore Milton Keynes a bit more (although Gulliver's itself is not really our style), especially its amazing family cycling options.

What a lovely clean friendly site would recommend this site definitely. I have been to many sites over the years this one has no problems top on my list. The showers/waste system is all up and running perfectly. Rubbish regularly collected from the waste bins. It rained and we saw no flooding at all. You are central, 5 minute walking distance to all Gullivers Land theme park/splash zone(which is an inside water slides activity no pool ideal loads of fun for children./ Gullivers Dinosaur and Farm Park.
Friendly welcome all facilities are immaculate the toilet block has 2 family shower/toilet rooms combined which were a definite plus with a heated towel rail. Also shower/toilet facilities separate for male and female. 20p for use of hairdryers.
It also has a super separate room for washing dishes an abundance of hot water also a laundry room 2 washing machines £3.50 per wash. They have an iron and ironing board 20p. A sink to hand wash if required. A couple of rotarys outside for hanging your washing on. So bring some pegs.
There is a play park modern and kids loved it.
It also has a recreation room bistro tables and a football table.
There is a take away menu from the waterside restaurant adjacent to the site reasonably priced / theme parks etc all these areas can be reached at the bottom of the site near the play park which was handy.
Beautiful scenic walks lovely surroundings various freshly baked bread from the site shop what more could you want!

Just spent bank hol weekend here and yes, there were problems, but after speaking to one of the managers things came a little clearer.
The site is actually owned by Gullivers theme parks;-they decided it would be a good idea to have a campsite within the grounds of the park. Gullivers actually installed the toilet block then attempted to do the rest of the site- then realised that they didn't know where to start so they called in the Camping and Caravanning club who are now trying to alter things to how they want them-that's why some things aren't quite up to the clubs usual standards.
It seems that the toilets/shower waste system that Gullivers had installed (which is a cesspit) is not able to cope with the demands from so many campers. The showers were out of order on saturday, the toilets on sunday although there were alternate loo's a short walk away that were available to the campers.
Many people were moaning and groaning at the management, who did everything that they could to resolve things and were just as frustrated as the campers, but it was out of their hands- all the maintenance at the loo block had to be done by Gullivers staff.
The C&CC staff were excellent-I'd mistakenly booked a pitch without electric, and they had a shift about and found me one with. Yes, the site does need jobs doing to it, but with time and use it will all 'settle down'.
The Waterside Restaurant next to the side is fab value for money and lovely food.
Gullivers itself is looking a bit weary and at £52 for a family of 4, we made sure we were there when it opened and left when it closed.
I wouldn't hesitate to use this site again.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Seemed to be a few teething troubles - signage as mentioned, showers stopped working for two days, not enough rubbish bins / too few collections. Cleaning time inconvenient at 10.30 am and no alternative facilities.
Brand new amenities block promised a lot from the outside and there are two very nice family shower rooms. However the general shower and toilet cubicles although kept nice and clean are very small and cheaply constructed. Not enough hooks or space to hang clothing and put toiletries in the showers. There is a nice touch of a low level toilet for children but could do with a sign on the door as didn't find it for two days. Just seems a shame when building from scratch not to push the boat out a bit.
Cant comment on washing up or laundry as not used. Kids play equipment quite good but not much open ground for them to run about and grassed areas a bit rough, lumpy and spongy - paths, roads and hardstandings all hardcore so not suitable for scooters.
There is open water nearby too so watch out for that. Excellent site for Gullivers Kingdom which is why we went and there are loads of other amenities in the area. Lovely lake and park short walk / drive away with 2 meals for £10 pub overlooking the water. Seems a bit of a negative review but site perfectly acceptable for a short stay - site probably just needs a little time to mature.

This site is all about location and children. It has the Gullivers theme park and Dinofarm within minutes of walking. There is also willin lake for those who wish to try wake boarding and tree climbing(Go Ape type thing) and an indoor snowzone place which are no more than 10 minutes walk as well. There are loads of parks for walking or riding a bike, or having a picnic.
Gullivers itself is perfect for kids about 4-8 realistically but once inside the prices for food and drink a reasonable.
Now for the park itself.
I also have to agree that the signage is terrible to get to the site and I also ended up doing a 3 point turn on the same road. When we arrived the only thing not working properly was the showers but they were fixed the next day. The shower block was sufficient for the size of site and everything was lovely and clean.
The staff were helpful and dealt with issues effectively.
At first sight it was not what I imagined a new site to look like. The pitches are not nicely edged and the grass is still a bit rough, although this was being worked on daily. The site layout is ok with some grassy areas for the kids and yes you could here the theme park it is only open from 10:30-17:00 so it didn't cause a problem for us.
The shop was a little basic but your not far from most of the leading supermarkets so it doesn't matter so much.
There is a small park on site for the kids and mine spent hours playing their with the other kids on the site.
All in all this is a good site although it needs to mature a little. I think we would come back to this site. We stayed 5 nights and I think it was about right for us to get everything done.

We've just come back from a 3 night stay at the new campsite at Gullivers and I can say we were not impressed.
First the good points :
The site is as you would think ideal for gullivers, you can hear the screams from the rides from your caravan.
Also Dinoworld is next door to the site which is ideal for young children and also the restaurant is walking distance from the park, excellent food - average price (free bottle of wine if you stay on campsite).
There is a good size toilet and shower block with two family rooms.
Nice size play park for the kids.
The bad points are to be fair what you may expect from a site which has just opened.
Firstly, sign posts for the site are non existent, ended up turning into road for main park and doing a 3 point turn in a narrow road with van on back !
There was no electric when we arrived, as in no power to the sockets and also most of the time the showers did not work.
The grass in front of our pitch was like a swamp and people were having to be towed out. Most of the pitches as with ours were hard standing though.
We may come back to this site in a few years but it needs to establish itself a lot more first.
