Very friendly and helpful 'wardens', and a lovely site. Showers a bit on the small side with only just enough room to dry and dress, but plenty of hooks and a soap dish!
The screams from the rides on the nearby amusement park are not intrusive by the way!

The site was easy to find and we had a good welcome. We were shown to a pitch near to the shower block which is what we wanted. We chose one near to the children's' play area which is not the place to be if you want peace and quiet but we don't mind children and it did not bother us. The shower block is very new and it was extremely clean at all times. The only thing was you had more room to clean your dishes than when you have a shower. The showers are minute, with only hooks on the back of the doors to put your clothes on and no shelves or seat to sit. After drying I went down to the privacy cubicle to dress. There are some nice pubs in the area, the one at the lake was very reasonable and there was a good pub at Woolston that we would recommend. We were in the area to visit National Trust Properties and visited Stowe Gardens and Claydon House, We also went to Bletchley Park where the code breakers were in the war and it was a very interesting visit.

The wardens were friendly and helpful and the weekend we arrived had organised a lot of activities for the bank holiday (and National camping and caravanning week). We were on a grass pitch with electric hookup. Notwithstanding the usual 5/6m rule the units seemed quite close together and I imagine that when it is full the site is quite crowded.
The site is right next to the two Gulliver theme parks (the main thrill ride park, a dinosaur farm park and the splash zone) It is also easy to drive (or walk we were told) in to the centre of Milton Keynes. If you are visiting Gullivers there is a special deal if you are staying on the site. There is quite a bit to do in the area (even in the rain - more of that later!)
The site has a single central facilities block, it was always really clean (even in the atrocious weather) and we never had to queue for toilets, showers, washing up or the family shower room. We didn't really find it a problem the facilities block being closed as we were usually out so can't really comment on that. There is also a playground which our children enjoyed, but because of the wet weather it had become a quagmire.
The major issue is one of geology rather than something the site wardens can govern. It was very wet for the first three days and he ground became very wet very quickly. There were large puddles (small lakes) on empty pitches and You could feel the ground squelching under the groundsheet and it was still soft when we came to pack up on the final day after two days of sun. We were there during half term week and were surprised it was as quiet as it was - probably due to the weather.
Overall despite the weather we had an enjoyable few days. It was good value (especially when you use the Gulliver special offer) and a good location.

Our only criticism about the site is that the toilet/shower block is completely closed from 10. 30am to 12noon daily for cleaning so if you need the loo between these times there is just one disabled loo for the whole site - needless to say there was usually a queue. Also the hard standing has such large pieces of stone it is very difficult to put up the awning and the chairs and tables damage the groundsheet. It is also very uncomfortable to walk on. Otherwise we are in total agreement with Garden Bird about the site. We had a lovely time but do take sandwiches into Gullivers as the food is very expensive and not all that good.

Our only regret about our visit to this site was that it was our first!
What a great location; easy for towing and pitching with a variety of different types of pitches. The pitches are arranged in different areas, separated by established trees/hedges, giving it a small site feel.
There are also a number of wooden Eco 'pods' on site, with power and lighting.
Shops, restaurants, theatres and Xscape are a leisurely 30 minute stroll, or 15 minute brisk walk from site, all on footpaths, through Campbell park, avoiding roads.
Willen Lake is a 10 minute walk from the site, on broad, well-surfaced paths.
All in all, there is something for everyone, a bit of town and a bit of country.
Great for cyclists of all ages, or those with pushchairs or wheelchairs.
We didn't use the car once, from when we arrived. It was such a pleasure to be able to walk everywhere (very leisurely).
As with most sites that provide such easy access, there is inevitably some road noise, but it wasn't overly intrusive, and was more than matched by the birdsong!
The great thing about the loos, showers, family room and laundry, is that they are all contained within the light, clean and airy facilities block. No icy blasts when you are in the shower, and a door is opened!
Can't praise the site staff enough; warm, friendly welcome, and calm helpful guidance to the pitch.
This would be a great site if it was open at Christmas and New Year for shopping, theatre and restaurants.

We stayed at this campsite from the 01/09 for four nights. We were sited just near to the facility block on a hardstanding with electric hook-up. The facility block was clean throughout our stay but the shower and toilet cubicles are on the smaller side compared to other campsites we have stayed on. The shower cubicle has saloon type locking doors with a shower curtain which has to be inside the shower tray otherwise it floods! If you have smaller children it is worth getting the code for the two family rooms available. They have a shower cubicle, toilet, changing area for babies and sink. The radiator is up high which is good so little hands don’t touch it.
We went to Gullivers next door which can be accessed through the back of the campsite. We spent the whole day there and our daughter was able to go on all the rides. It is geared up for the younger children who will love it. Older children might find the rides a little boring.
Also visited Waddesdon Manor (National Trust) which was built by the Rothschilds. Very grand house inside and out and lovely gardens. Also went to Central Milton Keynes. Plenty of shops (all the shops you can think of), cinemas, bowling, indoor sky diving, inside snow boarding, theatres and numerous places to eat. Near to the campsite is Willen Lake. You can walk there which takes about 10 mins. Lovely place to walk or cycle around. There is a restaurant (Fayre & Square chain), sports centre and a huge play park for children of all ages. Plenty to do around the area and also plenty of cycle paths if you want to cycle around the area.

We stayed just two nights to visit family. This site is not for anyone seeking quiet, but ideal for young families. First morning we woke at 6.50am to someone with a loudspeaker giving some sort of training instructions in the park next door. At 7.20am he went through the same thing. I headed for the showers early in case he started again at 7.50am!
Once the theme park opens for business there is a lot of noise. The facilities on site are fine although I'm not a fan of showers with push buttons.
Plenty of shops around MK once you have mastered the road system, and very easy access from M1. It seems that the site is locked at 11.00pm with no pedestrian access, which is unusual but probably due to location.
We would stay again for family visits, but not as a holiday. \

We were delighted with our visit to this campsite. The holiday site managers were all without exception welcoming, friendly and very helpful.
The field we were in felt quite secluded, and was enhanced by being adjacent to an enclosure with 2 Shetland ponies and a Shire Horse.
The toilet block was nearby, and was always immaculate.
The major advantage of the site for us was the variety of walks straight from the site - we never needed to use the car. It was an ideal place for walking the dog. We walked into the main shopping centre through Campbell Park, it took about 25 minutes.
We love this site and we shall definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant reception from wardens when we arrived. Taken to pitch and assisted in positioning of caravan. They gave us all the information about the site and showed us where all the facilities were.
The toilet and shower block were spotlessly clean and well maintained. There are separate cubicles for washing and a washing machine and dryer, both reasonably priced at £3. 50 and £1. 50 respectively. Also in the laundry room is loads of information of local events, taxis, etc. Reception sells basic stock, ice cream and gas.
Most pitches are hard standing, which is an asset with all the rain we have been having. Having said that a tent is pitched near us and the ground is just coping with the deluge of rain.
The site is laid out really lovely with hedged driveways and well lit at night around the toilets. Access to the site is by coded barrier.
Even though it is next to Gulliver's Land there is virtually no noise from the park. The site is very peaceful and close to Milton Keynes Centre. Willen Lake with all it's water sport facilities is just across the road from the initial entrance. If you intend taking the kids to Gulliver's Land then this site is perfect as it is just a stone's throw away.
We will certainly be coming here again.

Although very wet due to heavy rain, the warden managed to find pitches that weren't too soggy. It's nicely landscaped with the soil from the levelled pitches providing sloped surrounds. Lots of hedges and shrubs to break up the areas and the wind.
Facilities are very good and plentiful. There is a gate through to an area with a lake, and though this has a fence it won't exclude children so be aware. This area is available for camping (when it's dry) but there is a lot (and I mean a lot) of duck and goose pooh.
I was impressed that the warden came around after a windy night and checked every piece of the playground equipment.
The shop was basic and unimaginative though has a range of gas.
In sum - it has a nice feel which I think is due to the layout, as I find club sites a bit regimented usually, and very handy for M1, city centre, sports and a theme park.
