Idyllic, rural, unspoiled site we always have a wonderful time at Huccaby!
Our school groups have camped there every year for many years and thoroughly enjoyed every single visit.
The walk up a field to use the toilet adds to the adventure. I
T's a beautiful riverside spot. Great for swimmers, would need to keep an eye on little children.
Good base for walkers. A short walk to a pub. Perfect!

It is a great position for walkers/cyclists to stay mid-expedition and such a beautiful place right next to the river!
The toilets are a little walk away but not too far.

Very pleasant and cozy Sheppard's cabin. Log burner was lit and warming the living area upon our arrival.
Easy access to other utilities outside including showers and extra toilets, most useful when there is four of you trying to get ready for a day out.
Beds were comfortable and as you would expect the setting is idyllic.

The perfect getaway. We live locally and just wanted a night away. This was perfect. Rustic and charming.
The toilets were clean and the owner very hospitable and friendly. Nice place to unwind and get back to nature.
Loved it and going back next weekend. In this mad world a bit of quiet and calm by a campfire and river was the best way to end the week.

Had a really lovely stay at Huccaby Farm! Beautiful location and such a tranquil setting. £10 each for myself and my partner was reasonable and with £5 for fire wood (which the farmer brought round every night).
Despite other reviews, found the owners really friendly! Decent toilets, although not directly on the field but was fine! Showers would be nice, however not a deal breaker as there’s plenty of rivers near by!
Would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely be back.

Lush campsite turned up late but no problem. Local pub within walking distance. Lovely views from site.
Rustic and basic but just how we like it! Will be coming back

Headed down to Huccaby on a Thursday and stayed until Sunday. This was the most beautiful campsite I’ve ever stayed in!
- Right next to the river,
- £10 per person per night, lovely
- lovely owner, Dave, who owns the pub just round the corner and he delivers firewood daily on his quad bike (£5 per box)
I will 100% be going again.
(Not suitable for anything larger than a Ford Transit LWB)

Incredible setting. Peaceful and relaxing. Great spot for a swim and shooting down the shallow white water on inflatables.
Great to have a fire pit too and we got to know many other friendly campers.
Might benefit from a tap for water in the lower field and a compost loo.
Only issue was that the farmer wanted to charge for children under 3 years old and it was only when this was disputed two nights in a row (And finally presented with an email from an owner) that he said OK, we didn’t have to pay £5 for the 1 year olds to stay. It also stated that on the entrance gate - so we weren’t sure why he was trying to charge extra.
Despite this issue, the campsite goes highly recommended. We will be going again and have already recommended it to others.

Amazing location. We stayed with friends and our children.
River right by the camping field which the kids were in for hours,
Lovely little pub up the rd (following gov guidelines exceptionally) great to have an open fire in the evening too.
Toilets were clean, shower too, not that we used it.
Definitely top of our list for a quick get away!

Stunning location, our camper was too wide to fit through the narrow gate so we stayed in the top field (not many flat areas) which was much quieter than the main field, but only a hundred yards away, so we could still easily walk down to enjoy the river.
We found the toilets, which were clean, but no shower. £10 per adult per night, payable in cash to friendly farmer who collects in the evening or by card at the nearby pub!
This campsite is in a stunningly beautiful location, and is naturally basic, with a very relaxed vibe.
