We struggled to get a booking anywhere so sort of found peniarth by luck and after a lot of online searching for specific dates in mind. However, we are so pleased to have discovered this lovely place.
The family who own and run the site are so friendly and accommodating. They even showed my young children their private barns with horses and puppies!
The weather was against us, but we have already agreed that this site made the effort worthwhile. The site is clean and lush, with Rowan trees all around.
There is also a beautiful view of hills and the sea. Great roads to take you into Wales and plenty to do within 30 mins driving distance. This site has a clean toilet and shower block with a wall mounted hair dryer (always appreciated!) and is open at all times.
The family work busily on the site so it isn’t difficult to find them if you needed to. Their free roaming chickens and pet dogs were an added delight for us!
The site is very peaceful and whilst it isn’t strictly an obvious choice for young children, my two four year olds loved it. A great option for an adult retreat, or for families needing a friendly place to base themselves.

Great site for caravans tents and camper vans, facilities clean and in good working order.
Owners very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a field with hook up perfect place for us to set up a new untested awning in a peaceful setting.
The chickens kept our dog very amused. Dog and child friendly.

A small, clean and tidy site.
Quite a few seasonal on there, 2 friendly couples in particular, very helpful in setting up my water service pipe 😊
A great location for all the usual great welsh towns and beaches.

I booked here in May 2021 for my boyfriend's birthday. We managed to squeeze in a booking for the bank holiday, it was super easy to book and Julie was really friendly, even after I pestered her with questions the week leading up to the camp!
They were really relaxed about where we pitched up and even showed us how to avoid the rainy patches too! A lovely little extra was being able to grab a picnic bench from the middle of the field and use it for the weekend.
Bill, Meg and Ted were super friendly, it was lovely having a few four-legged friends greet us when we arrived.
The facilities were nice, cleaned regularly and covid-19 rules were in place. Children were required to be accompanied by an adult when using the bathrooms but this was easy due to the family bathroom!
The showers were lovely and warm and at night it was easy to find the bathroom block as it was well-lit.
The campsite is ideally situated, we travelled to Snowdon, Penryn Quarry, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno, all well within an hour of this site!
It's beautiful there, the sunsets are wonderful and it's also really peaceful too

I enjoyed weekend in this Campsite, we were with friends for 2 night and was lovely.
They serve tasty breakfast everyday, brunch and lunch too.
Everyone was friendly and helpful, when we had issue with our kettle, they borrowed to us.
We definitely will come back.
