Julie and Geoff are a lovely couple, it’s a lovely site with lovely facilities. There are good walks to be had from the site without leaving their farm.
The only room for improvement is the uneven cinder hard standings which are neither flat nor level. We found it impossible to get the motorhome level.
No one to pay when we left so posted the cheque through the farmhouse door
The views through the hills to the sea are delightful it is well placed for touring from Prestatyn to Colwyn Bay. One very good recommended fish and chip shop in Abergele is “Trawlers” excellent.
We will visit this peaceful beautiful site again.

What a fantastic site! The pitches were very roomy and there was lots of space in between them so we didn't feel crowded at all even though it was fairly full.
Electric hook ups and water on each pitch, waste water points and rubbish bins at regular intervals round the site. The site was gently sloping but the pitches were levelled on terraces where it was a bit steeper.
The toilets and showers were brand-new, extremely well kept and were spacious enough for us larger ladies to have a shower and get dried properly. The washing up facilities were superb - plenty of space under cover and lots of hot water.
The only down point was that due to the overhead power lines there was no kite flying or ball games allowed on our field so the kids were a bit stumped for games until they realised they could play manhunt in the trees and surrounding fields instead!
A beautiful part of the world, and a beautiful site that we can't wait to get back to in the summer. Genuinely friendly owners and a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere throughout.

Just spent Easter at this site, 3 tents of us 16 of us in total and what a great time we had there. A friendly family run site and very very clean site with stunning views. The facilities are perfect, your own tap water and electric at your tent if you want it. Showers and toilets spotless as they never stop cleaning ha ha. It is very close to Towyn and Abergele by car or taxi which was £12 for 8 people from Towyn. So if you want a great site try this one you will not be disappointed and we are going back soon.

Just back from 5 days over Easter, the site is great, spotless, toilets and showers are cleaned to a very high standard.
Really friendly owners ,cant wait to go back in July with the grandkids. The only thing it needs is a children's play area where they can play games so as to be able to mix with each other.
Calor gas, food, petrol, etc, can be found in the village post office and garage combined which is about a mile away from the site. Lllandudno, Rhyl, are about 20 minutes away by car. All pitches have ehu, own tap, and dustbin.

We arrived on the Friday 13th August 2010, we were 4 groups, 16 adults and children in total.
The site is amazing, so very clean and well kept, showers and toilets are exceptional.
There are gravel pitches for Trailer tents and caravans, electric hook up too.
For me this will be a regular for us, the location in relation to Manchester area where we live is ideal in terms of getting into Wales for the weekend and not having to drive too much.
Julie and Geoff best hosts you could wish for.
Our suggestions for the future will be a site shop for some of the basics, a Childrens play area, but more importantly an adult play area, maybe a large wooden shed where Geoff can sit behind a bar serving beer!
Thanks for a great weekend see you again soon, Paul and Co.

Just back after the august bank holiday weekend, chose this place because I know the area fairly well and it was my first run out towing a caravan, firstly Julie and geoff were lovely and helpful, the pitch I had was hard standing and plenty of room around my unit meant I could easily park 2 cars, the toilets and showers were immaculate no matter what time of day the caravan/hard pitches each had there own water tap. The site was clean plenty of bins near the pitches which are emptied regularly and is set in a very beautiful part of the world.
Downside is I was told the nearest pub the wheatsheaf was a ten minute walk away would beg to differ on that but the food was great and the beer was good bitter around £2.80 a pint which isn't the dearest in the world but nice and dogs are welcome.
I would recommend this site very much and intend on returning but will take some high vis coats with me for the walk back from the pub

We've just returned from this site. We found the owners very helpful & friendly and our dog even made a friend with the little farm dog.
The showers and toilets are not only brand new but also cleaned several times per day and there is ample hot water. The showers are free.
Undercover 'pot washing facility's' are provided, again, brand new with ample hot water.
The grass is well cut and the large hard standing pitches have electric, water & TV hook-ups.The TV hook-up is a nice touch, necessary because its a bad area for TV reception [take your own aerial extension/connection though].
Chemical toilet wash out facilities are provided too, also with hot water.
The site was really quiet when we arrived, but by Bank Holiday Friday began to fill up,even so,there is enough facilities to go round and it didn't feel crowded like many sites do when they're full [which it was by the Saturday].
There's a nice 'dog walk' through the gate and up a path to two large fields, both owned by the owners.Being in a sheep farming area though its imperative to keep dogs on a lead at all times.
There are also horses on the farm for anyone who likes horses.
The village of Betws-y-Rhos has a well stocked General Store/Garage,although we didn't try any of the local pubs.
Local attractions we visited was Llanberris Pass, Llanberris Slate Museum,Welsh Highland Railway, Llandudno, the Great Orme Tramway, Beddgelert and Betws-Y-Coed [all recommended]. Rhyl & Caenarfon we found to be quiet [too quiet] and run down [definitely NOT recommended]. We would have taken the railway up Snowdon to the summit. BUT, they don't allow dogs!
We didn't visit the local resort [Abergele]. To be honest,we were just too busy doing other things, but from what I understand they have a small beach which allows dogs on it [which is unusual].
All in, I have to say that this is the nicest site we have ever stayed on,the owners have really thought out & planned the site well, and it's one we definitely WILL be returning to.

We spent a one night stay at this new site which only opened about a month ago. We received a warm welcome from the owners who were extremely helpful in offering us a choice of hardstanding. All hardstanding pitches are fully serviced with electric, water, drainage and waste bin. The facilities were absolutely immaculate and the site is located amongst rolling hills with distant views of the sea from our elevated, but level, position. We enquired about local places to eat and were directed towards The Wheatsheaf Inn in the actual village of Betws Yn Rhos, 0.9miles from the site - we chose to walk and were very quickly offered a lift by a passing village resident returning home which we gratefully accepted. Our bar meal was excellent, and well worth the up hill and down dale walk back to the site. We would highly recommend this new site for those looking for excellent facilities in a countryside setting and wish the owners the best of luck with this year's venture following their recent renovation of the farmhouse and barns into very well equipped self catering units. They deserve your support.

Just returned from a great camping trip at Peniarth Bach Farm. The campsite has only recently opened so is still very quiet and the facilities are all brand new. We didn't want EHU so pitched our tent in the field furthest from the toilet block which we had all to ourselves for two of the three nights (apart from the resident sheep who visited from time to time). No facilities for kids but ours had a great time just running around and exploring.
Lovely rolling countryside views and very quiet and peaceful although you may be woken by the cows who were particularly loud one morning. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the facilities are plentiful for a small site (3 loos, 3 showers and 3 basins in each bathroom and a family/disabled bathroom)- all kept very clean. The showers were lovely and hot (and free!) There are eight washing up sinks (under cover) so no queueing.
The site is well situated for touring north Wales - Conwy, Llandudno etc. The village is walkable (about a mile) although we felt the food at the pub was a little overpriced. Abergele is about 10 mins by car and has a good Tesco for stocking up. Overall, a great camping experience - highly recommended.

First ever camping trip for us and it was quite appropriate that we visited a brand new site which we found through this website. As we hoped for, everything was spotlessly clean & tidy, excellent washing & cleaning facilities plus the owner Geoff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Being novices at this we spoke to the other campers asking for advice, tips etc and all seemed happy with the facilities especially the EHU's which we weren't making use of this time but hope to in the future. The local village of Betws-Yn-Rhos was very nice with a well stocked general store and a great child & dog friendly pub/restaurant. Only minor drawback was that although it was within walking distance, about a mile, it was down a narrow country lane without any pavements which would obviously make it a bit tricky with a young child in tow.
Handily placed for all North Wales tourist attractions we will definitely be making a return visit provided they have vacancies because I imagine once word spreads round about this site it will be very popular indeed.
