My wife and I were looking for a quiet weekend away and that is exactly what we got when we stayed here.
The owners couldn't be more helpful. From the time we arrived to the time we left they always found time for you even though they both are kept very busy with the running of not only the campsite but also the farm.
The pitches are well spaced apart and there was plenty of open space for our dog to stretch his legs (just watch out for the horses!). We stayed in a tent with electric hook up. The shower and toilet blocks are kept spotless.
Being slightly inland away from the coast meant it wasn't as windy either. There is a small paper shop about half a mile down the road and Abergele town centre is only 5 minutes away by car.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be coming back again, hopefully for a bit longer next time! One more thing though, if your following a sat nav it will take you to a farmhouse. This isnt the site, the site is about half a mile further along the road on the left!

Just returned from a 3 day break at Peniarth Bach Farm. I was impressed with the location from the outset, as it is just far enough outside Abergele to make it convenient for the Tesco there, but not far enough out to be too remote.
The campsite itself is well laid out and the owners, Geoff & Julie are very welcoming and friendly. The surrounding countryside is stunning, with a view of the sea on the walk down to the toilet block. You can tell the site is only 2 years old, as the amenities are spotless and well maintained.
Being within easy reach of the A55, the location is ideal to visit local attractions, such as Llandudno, Conwy and Bangor.
We stayed in the main field and managed to get an electric hook-up, which was lucky, being as it was the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.
Overall I cannot really find fault with this campsite and will be visiting it again in the future.

Visited the campsite for the Bank Holiday weekend, chose the campsite as it is one of the few in North Wales which has electric hook up for tents. It is a fairly new campsite, with all new facilities, the field is level, all the pitches are marked out and the shower/ toilet block is kept in pristine condition. (The campsite pictures don't really do it justice. )
For things to do, there is a pleasant walk up the hill from the camp site, although you need to go in the car for anything else, the local village is a mile away with a pub/shop. The views over the welsh hills are lovely from the site.
If you are looking for a stay in a well maintained, quiet, clean campsite, this is for you. The owners are also very friendly.

This is a lovely site, beautiful views and peaceful and quiet. Only a few miles from Colwyn Bay and Llandudno, and a great base for exploring North Wales.
The newly installed toilets and showers are kept really clean and the overall standard of the site is high. We have two dogs and it was perfect for walks.
In Betws yn Rhos there is a good pub with food, a Tesco in Abergele for supplies, and lots of other shops and restaurants in Llandudno.
I would certainly recommend this site for a great stay in Wales.

Visited this site over the Easter Weekend. We were made very welcome from the time we arrived until the time we left. Julie even came around to everyone with a piece of cake her daughter had made. The toilet blocks were spotless and the pitches nicely spaced out. We had bad weather so didn't go very far but had a nice breakfast with Julie and Geoff's free range eggs. There is a dog walking field but not very big. You can walk the public footpath through the farm and get a good view from the top need to be quite fit and Wellies needed as walking through sheep fields.

This is a great little campsite. It is a get away from it all kind of place (no club, no shop, no frills) but what it has are clean facilities and hard working owners. Julie and Geoff are warm and welcoming and always present.
There was a lot of space around the pitch, even though we went on a bank holiday weekend, and the bathroom facilities were never crowded.
The local pub does good beer but the food was a bit disappointing.
If you fancy a run. Don't ask Geoff. Everywhere he sends you is uphill!
This is a site we are looking forward to re-visiting, or perhaps we will book into one of the cottages.

Absolutely fantastic! Definitely going again.
Spotlessly clean facilities - showers/toilets/washing units.
Grass short and well kept, bins plenty of and regularly emptied.
We had 3 children with us and they were able to play in the surrounding fields and enjoyed the walk up to the top of surrounding fields, playing on the fallen tree stump and looking at views over Wales! Beautiful.
Only 5 minutes drive away from Abergele.
Owners - Julie and Geoff - couldn't make us more welcome, even lending us a kettle as we had forgotten ours. Nothing too much trouble for them.
Cant understand why this campsite wasn't busier particularly in August but think as word of mouth spreads then it will get a lot busier!
Most certainly recommend it.

Just returned from a one-nighter here.
The site owners are very friendly and helpful.
The shower/toilet blocks are brand new and spotless. The family room is a great idea, it has a toilet and a 'wet room' type shower in it, ideal for our 3 year old. Each pitch has its own water tap, EHU, and tv/satellite point. There are plenty of refuse bins dotted about the site, all of which were emptied regularly.
There are 8 dishwashing sinks, again, all brand new and undercover.
The pitches are a mix of hardstanding and grassed areas. Be sure to take rock pegs or similar, as there is not much depth to some of the grassed areas.
Unfortunately, there is no kids play area, although we knew this prior to booking. There is, however, plenty of room in between pitches and also some fields nearby.
There is a pub (Wheatsheaf) not too far from the site but I would not advise walking to it, especially if you have young children, as the road is very narrow, steep and has no pavements.
The pub itself was ok but did not open until 5pm on Saturday. Very nice beer garden at the front. Beer a little on the pricey side but its what you expect when its the only pub for miles! Dogs welcome, in certain areas of the pub as they serve food. We did not eat there but the menu looked good, again a bit pricey, but it all looked home cooked stuff so probably worth it.
The village store was surprisingly well equipped with off license / post office / calor gas etc etc and ample parking outside.
All in all, a very nice site with fantastic views and hospitable owners.
Couple of things to note that could be improved if I had to be really critical. There were no toilet roll holders in the toilets. Rolls just stacked on the cistern lids, this may sound petty. But how much is a loo-roll holder, given the obvious great expense of the new blocks.
Also, some kind of children's play area, I feel would go a long way to attract more families to the site.
Despite these minor things, we will definitely return to this site in the very near future.

Just got back from Carlie's birthday camping weekend!
Our 1st time out in our new campervan too.
We had a group of ten friends and used 3 tents too.
The site was a great size, and due to it being a little quiet we had our pick of the pitches! Plenty of electric hook ups, toilets and showers all very new so in great shape. Also good dish and clothes cleaning area, again all very new and clean.
The site is in a beautiful place, easy walk to local pub, which is dog friendly like the site, which was very important for us.
Just take care on the road to the pub, like all small country lanes not great for walking.
Julie and Geoff made us very welcome and we're on hand if needed.
Site is close to larger town/facilities, but remote enough that it was lovely and quiet.
We will definitely visit Julie/Geoff again, and if you are looking for a quiet, tidy, dog friendly site they are well worth a visit.

I don't think I have been more reluctant to leave a review before, we want to keep this site a secret.
We absolutely loved this site, immaculate facilities and a very clean well kept site, bins by your pitch regularly emptied, water nearby and you could not ask for nicer hosts. It is very obvious that the owners Julie and Geoff care so much about the site and people having a nice time.
The town is only a five min drive away with store and pub and Abergele is only ten minute drive away with Tesco and lots of shops and the pebble beach.
The farm shop that Julie gave us a leaflet on is fab too, the best fillet steak we have ever had so definitely worth a visit although check first as they do farmers markets and you may need to go later in the day.
We visited the local pub The Wheatsheaf which serves lovely food and lets dogs into the bar which is great as so many don't, I agree with a previous review 10 min walk is ambitious.
We can not wait to go back to this site for lovely views, great facilities and a really warm welcome.
