After a 2 to 3 mile drive from the main road, no problem, I was pleasantly surprised at the site. If it's a quiet, clean, tidy site you want then this is the place.

There is a choice of standard or serviced pitches on grass or hardstanding, with adequate space in-between pitches.

The facilities block (toilets/showers and wash up)are very clean, and are caravan club site standard. There is a pub about 1 mile away with good meals and welcome. The on site fishing lodge looked very good also.

If in the area again will definitely be back.

 What a gem!

As we left it late to book for the first weekend of the school summer holidays, all other campsites in the area booked up and this was the only one with availability. So glad the others were booked up!

For £12 (tent without EHU)we got a near empty field, so lots of play space for the kids and immaculate free washing and toilet facilities - with a really useful family shower/wash room. Enjoyed the short walk marked out the through the woods attached to the camping field, as did the kids, though didn't get time to look at the lake.

Will definitely be back and I would recommend it to anyone who is after a small, quiet site.

I was concerned with the lack of reviews for this site but I had no need to be.

The site is well maintained and the toilet and shower blocks were immaculately clean.

It was a little confusing when we first arrived as their is no reception. You find a pitch and then phone the contact number for pin code to enter the toilet block and pay for your pitch using an envelope and 'slot' safe. We never saw anyone connected to the site while we were there but then there really was no need.

The fishing is excellent (albeit a little expensive at £7 per rod and no half-day tickets) with a good head of crucian carp along with some larger specimens and other smaller fish.

Definitely one that I will be visiting again.

My wife and I have just had a few days at this Caravan Park and I have to say we will be going back. The owners are very friendly and the facilities are very good.4 new hard standings are currently been built. There are no play areas for children. This site is very quite just what we wanted. Nearest pub is 1.2 miles and the nearest shop is 2.3 miles away.Thank you.
