This site is very well kept, the owner Judy was very helpful,
The main field for caravans a very spacious the grass kept down pity the grass is not collected it ended up every where in showers and Awning.
There is another field which tents go on very large and spacious, the kids are supposed to use it for ball games. (parents please ask your children to play on the field )
The toilets are very basic 8 toilets 2 showers, the showers are awful if you use the second shower down the you get the other persons water running through your shower, the water was amply hot. Paper was supplied also hand wash and paper towels, they made little nice touches like flowers in the sink areas so effort was made. If the weather is cold it would be uncomfortable to shower here no heating and quarry tiles.
The men's were less 3 toilets 2 showers.
The area for rubbish was kept spotlessly, recycling bins provided.
Location here is good you can drive out to most places
You can't get onto the beach as it has eroded away.
The local pub is run down and from what we were told is going to be closed down soon.
There is a chip shop to the right of the site also a caravan park which has a club open to non members
There are a few good car boot sales about something to do
Beverley is a lovely place to visit nice shops bars and restaurants
Scarborough was also quit nice typically seaside shops on the front but the town has you usual shops
Skipsea carboot and Sunday market was worth going to
The owner of this site is very hard working and keeps it nice
As a base and because we have out own facilities we would use the site again.

What a delightful site. I arrived on foot with my little backpacking tent whilst on a long walk around the coast for charity.
Judy, the site owner, could not have been more welcoming or helpful - tent-friendly sites for backpackers in the area are few and far between, and Judy searched ahead for me on my onward route and had plenty of advice about the cliffs and walks south from Skipsea.
The site was comfortable, spacious and well appointed with clean facilities. All I ever need is a few square feet of grass and a shower, so I was well satisfied. And it makes all the difference to have such a warm welcome. Thank you.

A lovely site, even in the summer holidays but avoid at Bank Holidays.
We stayed at this site last week, for 4 nights. We were on pitch 57, just through the gate as seen on photo 16.
This is a large field now used for campers and holds about 30 units. I think there's only one water tap for this area. So the site has roughly doubled in capacity. As we wanted EHU, we had to lob the cable over a 7 foot hedge to plug in on the other side where the caravans are!
We had a lovely time for the first 3 nights, quiet and spacious, facilities were fine, clean and tidy. Having adults in the party with disabilities, it was useful to have a single unisex toilet and sink at the back of the toilet block. In the ladies there are 8 or so loos and 2 showers which now have doors. There are 2 plug sockets for hairdryers, charging etc, free! There are 2 washing up sinks with free hot water.
There are plenty of swallows to watch dipping across the field, dark skies to watch the stars at night and the sound of an owl. Campers were friendly and courteous.
Now for the downside. Around 30 more units turned up on Friday, for the BH. So you expect the site to be a bit noisier. The facilities struggled, to be fair with the increased amount of people. Folks were washing up in the toilet sinks - yuk! A lot more loose grass was being deposited in the facilities block too, this means in the showers as well. There were queues for the showers on the Saturday morning.
The real disappointment was the fact that the 11pm no noise rule was not observed by certain campers and not checked upon by the owners.
We were exposed to a version of live ' Jeremy Kyle' for 2 and a half hours! A group of very rowdy drunk adults started shouting and screaming at the top of their voice, the language was atrocious! And no as a single lady I wasn't going to politely ask them to tone it down. Other campers further along also felt the need to squeal and shout and swear at half past midnight.
Now I know owners can't vet clients, but if you have a no noise rule, please enforce it.
Having said the above, would I recommend this site? Yes I would, just don't come on the BH if you're looking for a peaceful location. I would go again.

What a lovely site ! Just on the edge of the village and in easy walking distance of local amenities and twenty minutes stroll to the seafront. ( Access to the beach through Skipsea Sands Caravan park ).
The host, Judy, was most helpful in giving us the ideal pitch we requested and also insisted on finding out whether a local attraction would allow dogs.
The site was well maintained with several water points and a well kept toilet and shower block, clean although a little tired in places but this adds to the charm. If we went back to this region we would certainly return to Mill Farm.

This was our first visit and on turning into the site, it looked simple but the simplicity turned into beauty.
It is a wonderfully clean and quiet site, the amenities are basic but more than ample and very clean.
The hosts are wonderfully polite and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay.

This was my first proper caravaning holiday. The site is lovely and well kept. The shower and toilet block is very clean and well lit. It is dog friendly which was important for us and their farm walk is perfect for dog walking.
There is a great pub within walking distance which serves great food at reasonable prices and it is not far from Fraisethorpe beach which is fabulous for dog walking.
I would definitely go back as it was a positive first caravaning experience.

We've just returned from this site which I would say has potential.
We arrived to be told NO gazebos, fire pits and cash only for payment and none of these are mentioned on the website
The showers had a CURTAIN not a door which is strange in a public washing facility
The grass is cut regular but not collected so left lying around to stick to your tent when packing up
Great dog walk area

We booked this site at short notice and were delighted by the warm positive manner our phone call and booking in were dealt with. It is a quiet site well laid out and although the road is a dead end it does have some traffic but nothing noisy.
The toilets and shower's are clean and free with plenty of hot water. Of note is the excellent dog walking area just over the road, a pleasant 10 minute walk through the trees on a grass path, perfect. The area is lovely with Bridlington being the closest resort and the nearest supermarket is there which is Tescos.
If you fancy a nice meal at reasonable prices seek out the North Star at Flamborough, they even serve local lobster but you have to preorder. We didn't find Hornsea worth the trip but each to their own. We will almost certainly return to Mill Farm in the near future.

Re-vsited this lovely site after 15 years as we had loved it then. Owners are lovely, nothing too much trouble. While pitching my tent, one of the pin tabs ripped off, but was promptly supplied with a very strong needle and thread to repair it.
Site is situated very close to the beach, which sadly can no longer be accessed due to collapse of the road/erosion (maybe this should be mentioned in the description or on their website?) but there are plenty of lovely beaches nearby-Fraisthorpe in particular is worth a visit-head towards brid from skipsea for a few mins and take a right to fraisthorpe beach.
There are toilets at the beach and a van selling snacks and hot/cold drinks, but that's it. Gorgeous beach though.
On site-very clean shower block open 24/7. Cleaned at around 7. 30am each day. Hot showers are free, no doors on cubicles though, just a curtain, but this was fine for us. Dish washing area clean an spacious. Bin area clean and tidy.
In the tent field, there are some ehu and some pitches without ehu. Owner gave me a choice of pitches to keep us sheltered and offered the use of an electrics lead if ours didn't reach for a refundable deposit of £10 (ours was ok though) Tents are pitched all around the perimeter of the field, children and adults(!) free to play in the huge space in the middle. Dogs are permitted, but if you have a Staffy, be prepared to be refused a pitch, as they are banned from the site, and possibly other 'strong jawed breeds' which was disappointing, but owner has her reasons for this. All in all, lovely site and a really lovely few days, will definitely visit again.

Well, what a difference 7 years makes! That's how long it is since our last visit (we don't often visit this area). The site has become an expensive, overgrown. Unkempt place with inadequate facilities. Firstly, the website fails to make it clear that an additional £2. 80 is payable for electric on top of the pitch fee (on metered sites we never pay more than 50p per night!).
When you enter the site, you are greeted with what was once a lovely rockery but is now a display of ragwort (isn't it illegal not remove that particular plant from your land?). The grass is cut but left for us all to trample into our vans/tents. Get a grassbox and spend a few minutes emptying it! Now to the washrooms; while we were there, several cubicles were closed off and a couple of the sinks had no water to them. Must admit though, they were clean.
Sorry to say, we won't be returning. Just wish you'd maintained your standards from 7 years ago.

Management response: Thank you for your review but just to clarify:-
Our website shows all the prices including the extra charge for a pitch with electric.
Upon entering the site what Dixter saw was a wonderful display of yellow Tansy which he mistook for Ragwort,
Ragwort is poisonous to livestock and is not tolerated on our site.
If anyone is unhappy about something they should call in at the reception as soon as possible and in most cases things can rectified. Please don't leave it until you have gone home.
