This is a well presented camp site clean tidy and welcoming. My wife and I had a pleasant three day stay over the bank holiday. Very reasonable prices with very good amenities.
Good walks for all the family and a nice off the road walk for the family pet and close to a very good Sunday market (Skirlington). It is exactly what it say's in the brochure. 10 out of 10 thank you for a good weekend will definitely call back.

The area is beautiful, Skipsea village has a shop and a pub and down the road towards the cliff tops (in the opposite direction) at the Park Resorts site there is a chip shop and I believe you can use their swimming pool but please don’t come with any expectation of getting to the beach at Skipsea because the road was lost to erosion and is blocked to all public access.
The site itself is well maintained and outside of the site there are beautiful country views however the enclosed nature of the camping/caravanning field means that these views are excluded and all you can see from your unit are large hedges/trees and while the facilities are immaculately maintained they leave a lot to be desired.
The 2 showers in the ladies lacked solid doors and the water pressure was not great and what water there was way too hot – several people commented about it and the lady in the tent up from ours was unable to shower her young daughter because of the water temperature yet when we mentioned this the site owner said she had received no other complaints and suggested the water appeared warmer because of sunburn!
I also had a problem with the drainage in the showers, the second shower took all the waste water from the first shower so effectively I was washing my feet in someone else's grime!
The segregation of a couple of sinks for washing and cleaning teeth perhaps in little cubicles would be a great idea and provide a little privacy since there are an abundance of sinks for general hand washing.
Also I’m still puzzling why a £10 deposit was required to have a key to the toilet block, I’m not sure I understand why they needed to be yale locked and I found it a major inconvenience every time I got over there to find that I had forgotten to bring the key. Perhaps a keypad lock would be a better idea if they need to be locked at all?
There are no laundry facilities or facilities to store cold foods or refreeze freezer blocks, which on hot days like we’ve just experienced was a major blow, although the owner was helpful and suggested cold water and a bucket… and the washing up area could do with a small bin to dispose of surplus food from plates, pans, etc.
I have to add that pretty much all sites I’ve visited, roughly around the same price bracket, have provided a lending library where guests can borrow books and board games etc but I was disappointed to find that the only facility here was to buy a book/CD/DVD from the owners collection in reception which ranged from £2 upwards. Perhaps lending these free of charge with a small deposit repayable on return would be a more customer friendly idea.
I think the main problem, apart from a lack of facilities, I had with this site is the lack of security: on all other sites I’ve visited guests have had to pass through a reception area to get to the camping/caravan areas, but on this site and the reception is totally separate from the site accessible from the road several metres away which means the site is openly accessible from the road and anyone can walk in unchecked.
We had a lovely 3 days in the area and it would be the lure of the area that brought us back and not the facilities of the site.

Just spent 4 nights in this lovely campsite, owners were very helpful giving us choice of pitch and information about the site. Very quiet, lots of flowers and birdsong lovely. Excellent facilities in clean well looked after condition, lovely hot water for washing up and showers. Lots of information was available in the form of leaflets, posters and maps giving places to visit, travel info and even doctors numbers. The site was very well tended and pretty. Our dog was made welcome at no extra cost. There is a dog walk across the road from the site which is beautiful, safe and clean. The walk takes you through trees and flowers, the Cow Parsley and Bluebells were wonderful. A really lovely walk especially in the evening.
There was a shop, post office and a pub a short walk into the village. A longer walk in the other direction took you to the sea.
Unfortunately we could not pick up any TV stations but we think this was our equipment as we have just purchased our van. Otherwise we had a positive and relaxing break.
Must recommend a visit or two to Mr Moo's Ice cream cafe on the road to Hornsea Lovely!

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Mill Farm and have to say what a lovely site it is. The owners are warm and friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The site is spotless as are the toilet block and showers there is also an area for pot washing which is also spotless and a credit to the owners. The site was nice and quiet and relaxing. You are only a short drive from Hornsea and Bridlington. The only downside was we had to come home but we will definitely be going back to Mill Farm.

We stayed here over august bank holiday. Site has 2 areas. One with hard standing, the other a field just for tents. Enough toilets (and toilet roll) but no soap. Toilets kept locked - £10 deposit for key- which I presume is to keep kids from playing in there and there were lots of kids. As a lot of the tourers seemed to be seasonal its probably like that all the time not just because it was bank holiday. It did however mean that it was nice and quiet at night. Oh- one more comment about the toilets. One of the days it was the male owner cleaning in the ladies which some people might not be comfortable with.
The grey water disposal is behind the toilet block, and not accessible to motorhomers
The site is ideally situated just a short walk into skipsea village. The pub has a couple of real ales and a pool table. Theres also a restaurant part but we didn't eat there.
Theres a large static site down the road with a shop, a club house and, I think, amusements.
We took a nice walk over the fields to Ulrome where you can access the beach. Had fish and chips from the shop there- but they were not the best.
Found the owners of this site to be very helpful and they kept it looking nice. If I want to visit skipsea again I would use this site.

We have just returned from a wonderful three night stay camping at Mill Farm Country Park.
The Owner gave us a wonderful welcome when we arrived and came to check we were ok with the pitches she had allocated us. These where great, due to needing to be nearer the toilets as one of our family members had disabilities.
The site was very clean and tidy. The toilets where clean and tidy with plenty of loo roll and had a separate disabled toilet which was great. The showers where roomy and had lovely hot water. There was also two plugs for hair dryers. The dishwashing area had two sinks so no waiting to wash pots. There was an area for recycling various waste which was good to have too.
In the field where the tents where pitched, there was lots of room for the children to play with kites, football, cricket and run about as the tents where only pitched around the edge.
Around the local area there is lots to do even when it rains.
This has been the better site to stay at during our years of camping, and would very much stay again, due to how it has been set out, cleanliness and the warm welcome and goodbye.
As with many sites we have stayed at, the only downside to this great place was not having a separate disabled shower.

Went with my parents. They have a caravan. Large pitch and electric hook up.
No shop but small convenience store only a short walk away.
Dedicated dog walk area a plus.
Close to a local pub, that's friendly and does basic bar meals. Local fish & chip shop.
Not too far from Hornsea, Bridlington etc. ,
On the downside, - Toilet block in desperate need of a make over.
Two showers - no door only shower curtain provided. Half a dozen toilets.
No handwash provided. Paper towels. Take your own Soap!
Very noisy first night, lots of children riding their bikes around the site and not on the dedicated play area.
2nd night - same bunch of kids n fire poppers.
This site describes itself as a quiet site!
We wont be making a return visit.

Management response: Thank you for doing a review on our site.
Just to clarify things:-
Showers we have 2 in the ladies and also 2 in the gents, all with free hot water.
Toilets. Ladies 8, gents, 4 cubicles, 3 urinals. There is also a separate room with a toilet and washbasin, no key needed to access this room.
Keys. People can have as many keys as they wish but a £10 deposit is required to encourage people to return them.
Washbasins. Gents 5, ladies 5. Paper towels are provided along with free use of hairdrier sockets and shaver sockets.
Children. We are a family site and there is a large games field for children to pay in.
Late night noise is not acceptable here.
If anyone is unhappy about something they should call in at the reception as soon as possible and in most cases things can rectified. Please don't leave it until you are going home.

We have just retuned from our first visit to this site. The touring pitches are quite large. There was a few seasonal tourers on site.
The showers looked clean with no door only a shower curtain, could maybe do with having a makeover.
The price was £17. 50 with electric plus 2. 00 for awning.
Not far away is a large sunday market at skirlington well woth a visit. We only had one issue you have to be off pitch by 11. 00am. We asked if we could stay for another 1 hour as our storage does not open till 1. 00 and was told we would have to pay £4. 00 and we could stay till 6. 00pm.
When asked if we could leave our tourer on pitch and re book for the following weekend was told we would have to pay 15. 00 per night without electric.
Would stay at this site again if could leave slightly later.

First visit to this site, just myself, hubby & dog, but won't be our last. We found it to be a nice quiet friendly site run by nice friendly people. Other campers were very friendly, there were children riding bikes around the site but they seemed very respectful and didn't cause any problems.
The thing I liked best about this site was that it was extremely dog friendly and there was no extra charge. Across the road is one of the best dedicated dog walks we have come across. There is a gated entrance, a well mown walk with shortcut and a disposal bin in the middle. The owner told us about a footpath (turn right out of the site and it is on the left) which takes you through a farmers field, & leads to the beach. It took about 30 minutes to walk but there was only one road to cross and for the rest of the time we could let the dog off the lead, which is what we like.
This was our kind of site; respectful campers, no noise late in the evening, dog friendly, nice walks close by. We will no doubt be returning.

Myself and my two children aged 12 and 14 went the short distance from home to this site to check out our new caravan; as we have plans to travel this summer.
The weather was fab the site was lovely and my children who don't like sites with night clubs etc really enjoyed the space and freedom to play in the games field.
Very friendly owners, When my wife has finished her university work we will all be going for a break here. 5*
