First time camping with family had a lovely weekend weather held out for us. Campsite 1st class amenities etc kept very clean and tidy even though it had been raining heavily the ground was well drained and not soggy. I was told that I would have to pay for 2 pitches due to the size of my tent and paid on arrival the lady at the site came to me on the last day and said that the tent only requires 1 pitch and refunded half my money would recommend this site to any one for a quite and relaxing weekend

We visited this site over the bank holiday weekend. Costing £14.50 per night for one adult and one child plus tent and car.
The facilities are very basic - showers were not the best - slow running and not very warm - no seperate 'drying' area so clothes ect got wet - but apart from that they were ok. Loos were clean and toilet roll provided - however - NO SOAP in the toilets- which I think is a bit mean! I didn't 'find' any laundry facilities on site which would have been a problem if we were staying for longer. Tent pitches were great - well kept grass area - hook ups - kids playing in centre of field - but nothing for the children to do really - although my son enjoyed building a den in the hedges! The site owner very helpful. I would recommend this site for a short break - would not fancy staying there longer than a few days.

Spent 3 nights here after reading the previous reviews. Arrived 'on spec' and we were given a choice of pitches. Plenty of space between pitches. Site is nicely kept with short grass. Toilet/shower block very clean and adequately supplied with loo roll! Owners very friendly and advise of areas to visit. Site recommended if you want peace and quiet (no clubhouse), not ideal for kiddies as no swings etc. Excellent fenced dog walk provided around the farm. Skipsea is a good base for visiting East Yorkshire.

This was our first visit to Skipsea and it was the reviews already posted that encouraged us to choose this site. Unfortunately we were too late to book electrics (4 days before!) but after staying there it won't matter if we can't get electrics again. The site is clean, the lady who runs it is VERY friendly and helpful and the field that is signposted as a children's play area IS just that.
We were given choice of 2 pitches-mainly because my husband was joining us later on his motorbike, but I don't think it would've made a difference to our stay. I felt the children were safe, showers were regularly cleaned, lovely hot water for washing pots and selves and it made such a difference to be able to sleep at night - bliss! Dogs are allowed but probably due more to the responsible dog owners there is not evidence of their stay!
Only negative thing I can say, and it is not the fault of the campsite and that is to get to the sea front or to the shop you have to walk on a pavementless road that has max speed limit - a bit frightening when you have young children. Definitely recommend this site though. A pleasure to stay.

First time at this site, the staff were so helpful as we had booked then had to cancel a night due to my son falling ill and ending up in hospital, as soon as we got there they asked about our son's health. Brilliant campsite, lovely clean amenities, easy access to places to visit. Will definitely visit again, very friendly clean place, was a pleasure going there.

Enjoyed a peaceful stay at this quiet family site. Plenty of room for the children to play. Although the toilets and showers are clean in our opinion they could do with being modernised. We were pleased that there were electric hook up. The nearest shop was a walk away. It was a short car drive away distance to Bridlington and Hornsea.

July 2005 Had our second visit to this site and it was very busy this time. We were pitched in the EHU field even though we did not use it. The owners will go out of there way to pitch you where you want. There were 3 tents amopngst the numerous motorhomes and caravans in this field but it was still quiet and very relaxing. Can't wait to go again

June 2005 Found this site to be great for families as well as couples. Good facilities, very clean toilet block with showers and seperate wash up room with two sinks and drainers. (Key for toilet £3 returnable deposit) Two fields, one with hook ups and one without. Hook up field will take both tourers and tents. The other field has about 60 pitches around the perimeter so plenty of space in the middle for kids to play. Cost considering all the hot water was free was £10-90 for 2 adults and tent £1 for each extra persons per night. Great value and very clean site. If you do not want to leave on your last day by 11-00am you can extend,if space available till about 4 pm for a cost of £3. Will definitely use again.

August 2003 If you like basic this is your site. The showers aren't up to much but generally clean. I thought a bit expensive by the time you've added on the extras (we have five children ). The electric hook-up was a bit out of date, it kept tripping for no reason. The site up the road has a very good club which is open to non residents.
