Great site, very friendly and helpful owner. A bit of a drive over beyond the airport but Barra's not that big anyway.
Had the winds been coming from the South-West the site would have been even better; as it wasn't we found the site a little exposed but a. This wasn't anyone's fault and b. We were luckily in our camper.
There are a couple of more sheltered pitches up beside the toilet block (immaculately clean and very well provisioned) and the views more than made up for the bad weather.
There's also a room for sheltering out of the weather if required, and a washing up area - again - always clean and well provisioned.
We also had corncrakes nesting on site - we're not "birders" but what a treat!

Lovely 3 night stay in unusually warm calm weather. Angus John very helpful, visits daily to collect fees and offer any help required. Excellent facilities in converted bungalow, very clean.
Big, well equipped kitchen area and lounge room useful if you’re camping and there is bad weather.
Beach just over a field, on lower tide. On high tide beach covers.
Great walks around the headland, sheep and cows grazing so dogs best on leads. Corncrakes ’crexxing’ away when we were there, areas of long grass/nettles left purposefully for them.
Sloping site but levelling blocks available.
A relaxing site with great views across to Eriskay and South Uist.

Thanks for a wonderful tip from the lovely owner which achieved our lifelong ambition to see a Corncrake.
Loved your well stocked house with everything a camper could need and enjoyed your free eggs.
Stunningly beautiful area on Barra.

Lovely site as are most on this wonderful Island !
But for us to busy and to many kids, again not the sites fault really but horses for courses I guess !
But we found our perfect go to site round the corner !

I enjoyed my stay at Scurrival.
The owner brought fresh eggs in the morning, the one staff I met was helpful and friendly and the view was lovely.
The facilities are unusual in that they are in a bungalow - the shower rooms are bigger than mine at home!
The kitchen was well fitted out with a laundry and there was a large room for sitting in.

Great site, warm welcome by the host and said to pitch wherever I fancied, toilet/shower facilities fine with decent hot shower pressure.
Campers kitchen excellent and very useful to avoid the wet & windy Scottish weather.
Lovely views and a good walk up the hill behind the site and onwards is recommended, can reach the west beach behind the airport strip, this has a lovely expanse of sand but caution needed in the water. Yes had a very quick dip. Burr.
Nothing for kids so I’ve reduced the score on that.

What a fantastic campsite.
Warm and friendly welcome, well maintained, spotless and well appointed facilities.
Value for money.
Superb beaches within short walk from campsite.
Ensure you have ramps as not all pitches are level.
Definitely on the list for a re-visit.

An absolutely amazing site one of the best we stayed at during our tour of the Outer Hebrides.
Beautiful views and Angus could not have been more friendly and helpful.
Great facilities, what's not to love?

This campsite is great!
The facilities are super clean and there are plenty large shower rooms with toilet.
The site is just across the road from a stunning beach.
Unfortunately the weather was terrible when we were there but even still, the place was beautiful!
The people who own the place were so lovely and welcoming!
Would definitely come back and recommend :)

One of our favourite campsites ever! The views are fabulous, park up where you like, and lots of flatter areas available.
The facilities are super. Big roomy bathrooms with good pressure showers and plenty of hot water. Handy kitchen and sitting areas too that I image would be useful to campers.
And finally the owner. What a genuine, lovely friendly man. Couldn't be more hospitable.
We love it!
