This is a nice small site and the owners are friendly and helpful. The toilet block is clean but only one shower in the male and female block. The roads as you know in this part of the country are single track so don,t expect to get far in under a hour but this is part of the attraction of the place. The only down side was the church at the back of the site which chimed every fifteen minutes at night.

Very helpful owners at this small but well kept reasonably level site. Lovely countryside, peaceful and relaxing. Village isnt as picturesque as I had been expecting (considering its in Devon) and unfortunately the pubs were disappointing, one of which had recently been closed down, the others needed attention. Unfortunately found strands of hair in my curry at one of the pubs, didn't go back for a second go as you can imagine. All in all good spot for a relaxing weekend. If your cyclists your about 4 miles away from the tarka cycling trail which if great, but its a hell of a climb back.

A fabulous small peaceful and hidden campsite set within rolling Devon hills and lovely views. Quite basic facilities but perfect if you are reasonably self contained. Adequate local shops provide for those day to day things you might run out of along with a couple of decent pubs. Some lovely woodland walks to be had as well and linked to parts of the tarka trail.
Ideal get away from it all site, with friendly management.

This is an excellent little site with very friendly owners. Shower and toilets good, always very clean. There is only one male and one female shower, this might be a problem if the site is fully booked, however this did not cause us any problems, there are two toilets and sinks in each. There is washing up facilities, free use of a freezer, washing machine and dryer (small charge). Site was nice and level with good ground which drained well even in heavy rain.
Dolton is a lovely village with three pubs, shop and butchers, all in easy walking distance. Dogs are welcome in all three pubs.
Recommended and would stay there again.

This lovely little site is perfect for couples and dog owners. We camped at the bottom of the field where there were no marked pitches so plenty of room and even though it rained we were well sheltered by the surrounding hedges. Facilities were clean and aren't a long walk wherever you pitch on the site.
The tarka trail is right near the site so lovely for dog walks and even though you're not right on a main road it was really easy to find. We had a very warm welcome even though we weren't able to get to the site till after 8pm!
The village is lovely with all 3 pubs being dog friendly and all serving food. All the locals welcomed us and our dog and we will definitely be visiting again.

This site is medium in size, tucked away from the roads so is very quiet and very well maintained.
I received a friendly welcome on arrival and was shown where all the facilities were. The pitch was flat and mown. The showers and toilet block was older style but who cares when its so well maintained and clean, every time I went in it was immaculate. I had a problem with the shower, the owner was straight over and it ended up being something I was doing wrong, but he was very happy to help.
Set in the lovely village of Dolton, with three pubs and a very comprehensive convienience store. Would definitely use again.

This is a lovely peacfull campsite set in the most glorious devon countryside with good access. All we could hear at night was the odd sound from some wildlife, no traffic noise whatsoever. The toilet and wash room block was nice and clean with easy to use free electric showers and had good washing and dryer machine's £1.25 per load! There is a nice large double drainer sink for washing up. They provided recycling bins (tins, plastic bottles, glass) and chemical loo waste point. The village had good pubs and a realy good shop. The owners were realy friendly. The pitchs are large, well drained with slight slope. Easy to hammer pegs into, well protected from wind with well established hedges arround edge of field, numbered and well spaced apart with large grassy area in centre and a nice view accross the hill's. Would reccomend this to anyone wanting a excellent site in Devon.

A lovely little site - no hardstanding, so it got very muddy. The owner was amazingly helpful after we got ourselves completely bogged down, even going so far as to dig us out with his shovel! He even lent us bits and pieces that we had forgotten (we're 1st timers!). Great to have so many excellent pubs so close!

This site is great,Beautiful views showers very well looked after, 25 pitches + H/Ups. Well maintained and cared for and the hosts Dave - Joan are lovely people. Right in centre of village with 3 pubs food in all, and the approach off main rd but drive with care as it is narrow in places. There is also a bus sevice in village All in all one of the best sites we have been to without a doubt 10/10. Cannot return quickly enough. We found this site more suited to couples and dogs are welcome.
