We have been advised that this site no longer has any touring caravan, motorhome or camping pitches, and is being redeveloped for holiday lodges. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

A lovely village site, situated at the rear of a village pub. The village was a pleasure to walk around and had beautiful thatched properties. The village also had a post office, a local shop and a butchers shop. There was also another pub that had been completely refurbished to a very high standard and served exclusive meals. The site was well maintained with hard standings and the showers/toilets were immaculate. The site also had an on site warden who was extremely helpful. This site was perfectly situated as a base for visiting all of North Devon, we found the best town for food shopping was Oakhampton and by taking the back lanes from the site would only take approx 45 minutes. The only negative point I can say is they had Wifi on site but was expensive, but the pub on site had free Wifi. Price £18 per night and £2 extra for an awning.

The site is nice and level and in picturesque surroundings. But the toilet blocks are freezing and Outside lights would be really good as its very dark. We realise the owners is in the throws of making improvements. The only other thing I would mention is that the edge of the park is gravelled, we nearly sunk in the mud plugging in
However we love the village and will return for a third visit

We are a couple of Aussies traveling the world, we arrived at Acorn Farm park for a short stay and Crikey what a bonzer place it is, we were given a u-beaut welcome from the warden whom was very helpful in making our stay very pleasant. The grounds are well maintained with good sized pitches the showers and dunnies are spotless with plenty of hot water. The beautiful village of Dolton was just what we expected of a true Cornish village with a great village shop which stocked all our needs, there are also a couple of great pubs within walking distance of the park both of which serve terrific meals. Prices for park stay are very reasonable and good value. We highly recommend Acorn Farm Park and will definitely stay there again.

Had perfect stay which we extended to nearly 3 weeks as site is so peaceful. Made very welcome by warden. Shower block very clean with good showers. Pitches level and well kept. Lovely village pub with good food near entrance to site is the icing on the cake, plus village shop, butchers and even another pub which also serves good food.

This is a really great and quiet campsite. Very friendly welcome from the warden despite us being very late to arrive. Nice showers, flat, well maintained ground. Peaceful too - the only sound was that of a few sheep in the next field. No rowdy children, no rowdy adults - perfect! We would definitely go here again.

We have just spent a glorious weekend at this delightful site. The situation is perfect - quietly located away from roads with lovely views across the valley beyond. The site is immaculately maintained with gravel pitches interspersed by manicured lawned areas, all with electric hook up. There are also very clean toilet and washing facilities on site. Beaches of the North Devon coast are a short drive away
The relatively new owners are very friendly and helpful and the village as a whole was so appealing we didn't venture away from it all weekend, spending an evening at the The Royal Oak (a 2 minute stroll away) followed by a delicious and reasonably priced Sunday lunch - cooked to perfection by the proprietors.
It's worth mentioning that this site is now a 'FAMILY' site - some searches find it as adults only.
We look forward to returning very soon.

Stayed here for the Whitsun bank holiday, this site really is a gem, it's location right in the centre of the beautiful village of Dolton really is perfect, and the pub at the entrance to the site is great, I would recommend the 'hunters burger'. The campsite has wonderful far reaching views of the beautiful North Devon countryside and offers peace and tranquillity which is second to none. I spoke with the new owners who are very nice, they told me of their plans for the site which include putting in individual bathrooms, although the current toilet block is old it was immaculately clean, the power showers where great and the hot water never ran out even though the site was busy with it being a bank holiday. The new all weather pitches are fantastic. We will certainly be returning and would recommend this site.

The location of this site is really wonderful. A small, pretty and friendly village with 2 pubs, 1 of which is right by the entrance to the camping site. There's a handy small general store, a little expensive but not over the top. There is also a small, very nice antique's shop. Sometime over the past few months this site has changed ownership. The new owners seem very nice but need to spend more time at this site rather than their bigger site in Cornwall. Since they have taken over they have put in all weather hard standings, which are very good. But the toilet/shower block is really rather tatty. The washing up facility is of the same poor quality and with the washing machine and tumble drier in the same room there's a strong smell of stale water. Although it is an Adult only site we did find 1 child there of about 12 years of age. Also it is a dog friendly site, where dog's should be kept on a lead. Unfortunately there is a large field at the end of the hard standings where 2 different dog owners felt it was ok to let their dogs off lead and play fetch. We take our dog everywhere with us, but if the site rules are to keep it on the lead, we do just that. This could be a wonderful site, but at the moment its just about acceptable.

This is a lovely quiet site in a beautiful village. Lovely showers and loos, spotlessly clean. Level hardstanding or grass pitches. Very friendly owners, in fact a very friendly village. Two great pubs both serving good food. Lots of walks from village and lots to see and do in surrounding area. Well worth a visit but DO NOT USE SAT NAV as it will take you down very narrow lanes, contact owner for directions. Adults only site.
