Found this site by looking here for camp site search in mullion Cornwall and what a Find! I can't see why it only has a few reviews my only explanation is that nobody leaves feedback as don't want it to be found and keep this discovery all to themselves as I would like to do. We arrived here on Friday August bank holiday weekend, was welcomed by the owner and shown to our pitch, shaded by the trees, very spacious pitches with electric hook up, close water points. Small shop on site only open 8-10am then again 5-7pm. Showers and toilet block clean. Only 2 showers to each block and a cost of 20p but not very power full and only last about a minute. This site is an excellent tour base to see the wonderful sites in around the lizard, Penzance and Lands End. It has superb beaches and coves and little unspoilt idyllic villages around. Will be going back without a doubt.

A great site for visiting the area not too far from any of the beaches with all the facilities you would expect , toilets and showers were always clean though not having any soap or anything to dry your hands with was a pain if you are only using the toilet. I was unlucky enough to have a pitch next the the busy road and was somewhat disturbed by road noise late into the night. At some times it sounded like the cars were literally driving right past the tent. Next time I will be sure to book a pitch away from the road.

Another fantastic holiday spent at Franchis and the same warm welcome from the new owners , who took over in mid July. Kate and Phil hit the ground running in the midst of our heatwave and haven't stopped since they arrived but they were affable, helpful and willing to offer or receive advice. They have plans to upgrade some of the facilities but the site remains friendly and family oriented; dogs are welcome and the lovely grounds and amenities are clean and tidy. Can't wait for our weekend in September!

This year was our second year staying at Franchis and it was as enjoyable as the first. It has new owners (Phil and Kate) who were going a very good job of running the site and maintaining the friendly relaxed family atmosphere. The site is on two fields, in front, and behind the house/shop; the top field (tents only) has more space with the pitches around an open space with the woods and stream behind. The small shop is open at the start and end of the day. We were there in peak season and there was no problem queuing for toilets or showers, both of which were cleaned regularly. Our only small criticism is that the toilets lacked soap dispensers and hand driers. It’s a nice small simple clean site and very good value. It is well placed for exploring the Lizard. We will return.

This site has now changed owners and the new people are just getting it up and running again. It's a nice situation - only a few miles from the Lizard and Flambards, Lands End and a million other things so having gone a bit further, you don't have to spend much time in the car all week. Some of the lesser known spots - like Church Cove are also great. One thing you should be aware of is the site is situated close to HMS Culdrose, a naval defence station. There were days when there was a lot of helicopter activity and if you stay on site all the time, you may have to be prepared for that on occasions. In addition, with just a small staff, there was no one to shut up the noisies at night. This was not a problem when we were there apart from on one occasion in a week. During high season, the showers, which were in two blocks, struggled to cope with the numbers on site. Some of these will be teething troubles though - this is a nice place to be and especially good for families.

This is a great camp site for families. Water Points all over camp. Toilet blocks have three cubicles in the men’s with three showers costing 20p and 40p depending on how long you want in there. I found 20p to be long enough. No hand towels or hand driers so take something with you.
Shown to your plot and left to get on with it with no interruptions. Great location for Poldhu Beach and the Lizard. Some plots shaded by trees so some areas get the sun earlier than others.
The motor home plots seem really tight, but the back fields are quite spacious for camping although the actual plots are a little small for a large tent.
Stream at the rear of the back field is a bit noisy at night if you are a sensitive sleeper but you get used to it. Going back this year so can’t be that bad!

Great Location on tip of Lizard close to Kynance Cove and Poldhu Beach, which is great for Body-boarding. Quick turn around of campers later in the year so you never know who is going to be next to you when you return from the beach and quite small piches so you will have contact with your neighbour one way or another.
Clean shower block with three showers in the mens with three sinks and two toilet cubicles. Showers cost 20p or 40p depending how long you want. No hand dryers or towels in the mens toilets so bring a towel or drip dry. Friendly family run place in which you are left alone to enjoy.
Water points, wash up points and mini skip bins in handy central locations. Going back next year so it cant be bad.

We arrived early to which there was no problem. There is a seperate play area and exercise area for dogs, which did not contain any doggy doings at all. A lovely well groomed site. No rubbish anywhere, pitches were checked several times a day by the owners who were very accomodating. A small shop carring most emergency things you would need. Close to a B road but it never caused any noise problems. A very quiet site after 10:30. Toilets were cleaned frequently but could do with some updating. showers cost 10 or 20p depending on which block you use. Situated 5 miles from the Lizard, very nice would book again for next year. Well done Dawn and family.

Nice clean campsite, well maintained Pitches a little small if you have a large tent as we did.(8 birth) Close to fairly busy B road but the noise didn't seem to cause much of a problem. Two large fields, one with hook ups and an upper field mainly for tents.
Well placed for access to many of the local attractions. Showers and toilet block clean. Never had to wait for a shower. 20p for 5 minutes Altogether a really enjoyable stay even if it rained every day
