Lovely welcome, to a great positioned site. You can tour south Cornwall really easily.
Facilities are quite basic and could do with an upgrade. However they were clean and tidy.
Limited things for the kids to do, but seems to work.
Would go back again.

A really lovely site, which was in a good location. A nice sized pitch and they were really helpful and friendly.
Facilities were ok, it was nice to have access to a washing machine (although had to pay for it), and freezer for ice packs was really useful.
Plenty of toilets and showers etc. My only difficulty here was the showers. They were release buttons, so set to only one temperature, and up on the wall. Therefore, for children and babies - really not useful! Need to make them cooler or warmer and it really is no good that they're up on the wall and you cannot get them down to shower the children.
When staying with a young family, these for me, are the key things I look for.
Otherwise, a really nice site, clean and friendly.

Just returned from a few nights away at this lovely, friendly, family run site. The atmosphere was great; we enjoyed a few chats with some of the other campers (many apparently regular visitors) and nothing was too much trouble for the site staff who always had a smile and a wave for us.
Some older reviews seem to mention the toilet blocks are a bit dated but we always found them to be clean and well kept so no complaints from us.
There was a well-stocked and reasonably priced shop which we've found pretty unusual for this type of campsite and they had freshly baked baguettes each morning which went down a storm! They also put a board out each day with local tides and weather which we found really useful. Just a nice touch.
We hope to visit again.

This was our first visit to Franchis and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quite, peaceful and laid back holiday. The owners are friendly and helpful and they keep the site in Immaculate condition. The facilities are quite basic but are clean with ample free hot water.
Franchis is located on the lizard peninsular between Helston and Mulligan, close to beautiful beaches and is a great spot to base yourself whilst exploring south west Cornwall.

This was our third visit to this site.
Would highly recommend. The toilets and showers are basic but always very clean and warm. There is also a small shop. The site is always kept lovely and tidy grass cut regular. The owners are always ready to help and very friendly.
We stay in the back field which is for tents only. We have two young children (6 & 4) who love playing in the field with all the other children.
The site is in easy reach to loads of lovely beaches and little coves. Also short drive away from Mullion which is a lovely little village with nice coffee shop and pub.
We are looking forward to our next visit which will hopefully be next year and for 2 weeks this time.

This site is one of the best sites we have been to.
The owners of this site could not do any more to welcome you. We have 6 children and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The toilets and showers were always clean and lovely hot water. You can use a BBQ which you can also buy at the family run shop. This is the ideal camp site if you want a lovely relaxing holiday. It is also close to beaches and lots of lovely places for walking. There is also a lovely family run pub which serves lovely food at reasonable prices. Have already told our friends about this site and we are booking to go again next year as the children loved it and they range from 6 to 16. Thank you for a lovely holiday

Spent three nights at the site in August 2013. Its a great location bordering fields and woodland. Although there are no child’s facilities, there is plenty of room for children to run around and I would describe it as child friendly. We found the owners very helpful. The pitch area for our five person tent was more than enough.
Nearby is Lizard village which is lovely. This camp site is well situated on The Lizard Peninsular and is ideal for exploring the local area. You will need a car/bike as there are no attractions within realistic walking distance.
Our only criticism is the toilet/shower block. Although kept clean it is very dated and really does need an urgent update. With new showers/toilets, this really would be a five star site.
I was very happy with our stay and would stay again.

We chose this site as it was near to all the beautiful beaches in the area and also as it is a quiet site.
Our pitch was good and set on a level field. There is a shop on site which has most essentials you may need at reasonable prices. It is open in a morning and evening for two hours. They also sell warm baguettes for 50p. There is a board outside the shop where the owners put the weather for the day along with local tides, which was very useful.
The site was well maintained with the grass being cut each week. The toilets & shower block are dated but are kept clean. Wish the main door to the ladies would have shut firmly which would have avoided all the huge moths and daddy long legs that were regular visitors in the toilet cubicles!
The site was friendly and laid back. There is no play area for the children, but there is plenty of space for them to play in and also a wood to explore.
The road is near by and you could hear the cars going by especially in the evening. This did not bother us at all and was not a major distraction.
Five miles away in Helston there is both Sainsburys and Tesco. Plus Mullion is only a short drive away and on a Tues, Wed and Thurs evening there was a curry company van where you could by home-made takeaway curries for £6. 50. Delicious!
Overall a great campsite to visit the lizard penisula.

We took advantage of their regular 2 weeks for the price of 1 offer here so it worked out at just £9 per night for the four of us in a tent with electric hook up, which we thought was fantastic value.
The site’s a proper traditional style campsite with plenty of open grassy space, really good sized pitches, friendly owners and no bar or entertainment which we loved as it makes for a nice quiet stay.
There’s a laundrette, good supply of tourist info and a free ice pack freezer which was handy. The shower and toilet blocks are old-fashioned but very clean. The showers were free and water hot and we never had to queue.
Local beaches were just a short drive away - our favourite’s Poldhu.
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend it to all our friends.
