Fantastic site,
Colin could not be more helpful great guy,
Although on a bus route it is better to walk into Pocklington which is only a 10 minute walk away,
The town has plenty of shops and places to eat and pubs.

We stayed at this campsite for a relaxing weekend with our children - both of whom said how much they wished we’d found it when they were younger as the little soft play area in the cafe is fab for under fives.
The site is flat, access is good, the pitches are grass but there’s a hard access road up the centre of the field. The wet room toilets/showers were spotless and very good for families.
The shop was well stocked (especially with gin!), and the meals in the cafe looked lovely - next time we’ll know not to travel with food for the weekend!
It was an easy flat walk into Pocklington, with pubs/cafes/shops. The owners were helpful and very friendly - definitely a site to go back to

Just returned from a lovely eights days here, along with our daughter and grandchildren in their caravan.
It was our first visit to the area and had everything we hoped for. Fantastic friendly staff in the farm shop and cafe itself and Colin the owner and his Dad were always chatty and up for spending five minutes with you which makes all the difference to your holiday.
There were a dew issues with the hot water system on the bank holiday weekend but wasn't anyone's fault and just needed a bit of understanding and patience from the visitors!
A nice easy walk into Pocklington which is a nice little market town again with friendly people. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

We've just returned from this lovely well kept site.
The lady on reception, when we arrived, was very friendly, she showed us to our pitch and pointed out the facilities.
The pitches were flat and adequate.
The toilet / shower block consisted of 4 unisex wet rooms, complete with shower, toilet and sink, with ample room for getting dressed, plus 1 disabled room. They were warm and kept clean.
There is an undercover pot wash area with 2 deep sinks with drainers.
The farm shop/ cafe looked well stocked and busy, although we didn't use it.
There is a children's play area at front of site near the farmshop/ reception, which looked adequate.
£18 per night including electric, very reasonable.
It's a lovely 10/15 minute walk into Pocklington. There's plenty of eateries, pubs and independent shops.
A lovely little town.
We will be back later this year hopefully.

Having just stayed here AGAIN for a long weekend ( with some new found fellow caravaner friends ). I felt compelled to put a more upto date review up, please read my last review as well.
After our last visit new toilets and showers were promised. Tick ! an all singing all dancing toilet shower and wash room block as been installed AS WELL as more EHU points. Our friends arrived before us and once we got to site Colin the owner greeted us and showed us where they were pitched.
We proceeded to pitchup next to them and Colin helped us manoeuvre and then explained we were due a lot of rain A LOT ! over the weekend and when we were ready for departing the site to give him a knock and he would gladly tow the caravan out and on to hard ground for us, which we gladly accepted and took him up on his offer. ( he had never seen so much rain before so was out of the ordinary).
Previously we stayed in the first field close to the shop and toilets, this time we were in the new field which is currently undergoing on going up grades ( EHU points had been completed the day before we arrived) and the gravel drive/road is due for being extended throughout the site to help with access, which is very easy. Our EHU was 16 amp and never tripped out once over the weekend and although we consider ourselves to be careful with kettles and heating etc It was a cold and wet weekend hence the heating was on all weekend and the kettle quite a few times.
In summary A real gem of a site ( couple of years ago I think rough diamond would of been accurate) but now you can tell its had polish and is starting to sparkle, the site just keeps getting better and better and Colins attitude has not faltered once, nothing seems to much trouble and help is always at hand however colin is no push over and doesn't suffer fools.
Great well spaced site, clean and close enough to walk to Pocklington to sample one or two local pubs, currently priced at £18 a night ( with wifi and ehu) which I think is spot on for the site.
Good work Colin keep up the hard work its certainly starting to show and turning into one magical well run campsite.

Back to work today after staying at The Mile Farm Shop Site this weekend. Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Colin & Jo and Staff. Great Site, Great Location, Great Shop, Great Sunday Breakfast, oh and errr Great Gin too. Very hospitable staff. Toilet block / Cleanliness is second to none. The whole set up is an absolute credit to them…
We have been campers for some time but this was our first night as Caravanners and we wanted it to be special and it was. Very. Thank you again
So Much So - I am just about to book us in again for Easter.
Highly Recommended Site, Great Location short walk / Drive to Centre of Town, Lots to see and do.

The wife and I, with small dog stayed here for a weekend in a motorhome.
The owner is very friendly and helps in any way he can.
The site is just behind the farm shop with plenty of room and level pitches. There is EHU and CDP.
Toilet and shower block is centrally heated and spotless and only a few years old so everything works really well.
The location of the site is perfect as its only a 10 minute walk on the footpath to Pockington.
We enjoyed our day in Pocklington as many dog friendly pubs and shops there.
The cost of our stay was a very reasonable £18 a night. We look forward to returning here.

Good level site, owner friendly and helpful. Didn't visit the cafe on site, but it seems popular.
Toilet block new and has wet room type shower area. Pity parents don't supervise the kids use of it, don't really want to clean up after them.
Easy walk into Pocklington. 7ml. The Black Bull and Judson wine bar are dog friendly, tho' wine bar quite pricey.
The scenic road route is nearby and is worth a drive.

First time camping with our Bongo Camper-van and the owner was very helpful. Stayed for one night in this lovely quiet campsite. Facilities were lovely and clean. Owners were polite and helpful. Never got the chance to try out the cafe but will on our next visit. Close to the town of Pocklington which is a lovely town day and night. Look forward to visiting again.

We have just spent 3 night 4 days at Mile Farm and we have had a terrific time
The facilities on the site are ideal with plans well on the way for new toilets and showers that will also have dish washing facilities.
Colin and Jo are terrific hosts. Really helpful and very friendly
The grass pitches are nice and flat and look to be well drained but we had warm sunshine every day.
The Mile Farm shop and cafe is a real bonus as is the indoor and outdoor children's play area.
Pocklington is about a 15 minute walk and has all the amenities you would expect.
There are some fantastic walks in the Yorkshire Wolds very close by and the East Coast resorts of Bridlington Filey and Scarborough are between 45 to 75 minutes drive. As is the historic city of York.
All in all an ideal base to tour this extremely picturesque area of Yorkshire and one that we plan to return to as often as possible.
Thank you Colin and Jo and for putting the flags out for us.
Sandra and Dave Boyd
