Visited this site for the first time and how pleased we were the staff on reception was so helpful we had trouble with our car on our journey and straight away they gave us phone numbers and found a post code to the nearest garage. Site very clean and tidy Plenty of room on our pitches Lots of things to do swimming pool outside very clean again lovely staff entertainment brilliant although long queues at the bar Restaurant food was okay not many staff but was September. The only thing we thought was a let down was the toilet block near reception. Very dated. Toilets wasn't on the same side as basins and water only just warm and no cubicle basins for privacy The lay out just didn't make sense. Plenty to do on site. Poole seven miles away

Right from the word go I had a positive experience, phoning up to book I mentioned I'd like the pitch we had in 2009 and was given it. Staff on site were very friendly
We only went for the weekend to treat the grandchildren and the weather was great.
Toilets and showers were adequate but not great. Warm, as the temperature is pre- set. Not much power and quite muddy in the cubicles, no mop and bucket to clean this though. Adequate.
Kids really loved the pools, park area etc.
All in all we had a great weekend spoilt only by 2 things.
Returning to our tent, a motor home had parked up and pitched far too close to use. They'd actually pitched in the space between 2 pitches. We didn't say anything as we were leaving the next morning.
However numerous members of staff and security walked past and didn't rectify this though it was very obvious to anyone.
Secondly. A family on the other side. Very noisy. Radio could be heard from more than half a dozen pitches away. They'd rigged the radio up to a car battery. Again plenty staff doing walk arounds but not doing anything.
After saying this the vast majority of campers were considerate of their neighbours, sticking to the quiet at 11pm rule.
We paid £37 for the weekend so with all the facilities for the kids I consider this a real bargain.
My only real gripe is that I think the staff need to tackle the minority who come to party. If they do this I would gladly return again and again.

Just got back from a long weekend in sandford, we had a great time, got there late friday and the warden was waiting for us and she was really cheerful and happy. Got up Fridaym a swim in the morning with the grand kids and then onto Bournemouth for the air show. Got back and had diner, food was great, service was good, but a nightly queue at the bar. If your in the front bar go around into the back bar and there isnt a queue. The entertainment was really good on Thursday and Friday night. On Saturday we spent the day on the beach watching the airshow came back and had fish and chips on the site which was fine. All-round a great time was had by all.

We have just arrived back after a fabulous 12 nights here and am very happy.
We travelled through the night as it was a 6 hour drive and wanted to avoid the majority of the traffic.
We arrived at 8. 30am and to my delight we were allowed straight onto our very large pitch. We holiday with another family so we have 2 pitches together and this was perfect. My initial thought was that the pitch was sloping and that it was going to be a problem. Everyone in the party assured me that it was fine, and I am glad to say that it was. We did however all get bitten by mosquito's so make sure that you take insect repellent.
The entertainment was brilliant for the kids but the adults didn't go to the club as we like to make our own free entertainment.
The crazy golf on site was such a laugh and at £2. 50 each it was a bargain as it kept us entertained a whole morning, on a day that we were chilling at the site.
So may fantastic places to explore whilst having this site as a base. These include Bournemouth, Beaulieu, Poole, Sandbanks, Studland and their beautiful beaches, Corfe Castle, Durdle Dor, Lulworth Cove, Swanage, Weymouth, and so much more.
I highly recommend you to try this site as I would definitely go back.

Stayed here for 4 nights on one of their larger pitches, which was a good size and gave us plenty of space. Near us it was portaloo and showers they were clean with plenty of hot water.
Kids loved using both the indoor and outdoor pool which never seemed over crowded. They loved going off to the amusements in the evening, we did not use the entertainment on site but there was plenty to do both day and night time if you wanted too. Lots of children riding their bikes, scooting about, or playing ball games, but this did not make it noisy.
We did all come home with insect bites, they say the damp weather has encouraged the bugs to come out, make sure you take insect repellent.
Staff were all very helpful and friendly, camping reception even have directions printed off you can take to get you to local attraction, beaches, supermarkets etc.
Would recommend this site, we all had a great time.

I like how green the area is for tents and caravans and enjoyed watching the plenty of animals you can see. There are plenty of pitches too but it would seem you do not have a say as to where you will be put. We were put on a slight slope under a big tree which caused a problem with nectar on our tent and wasps being attracted to our tent during the day! There were also plenty of acorns we had to move from our pitch before we could set up our tent.
We were on our own for 24 hours but the next day we had neighbours pitched next to us, even though 3/4 of pitches were empty. It would have been considerate of the owners to have put them somewhere else and giving everyone privacy, as they certainly had space available!
Despite this we had a great time exploring near-by Poole, Weymouth and Monkey World.
The mixed-sex shower block is a good idea for family's and caused no problem for us, it was always clean and there are free hairdryers and showers for your use. The sink to clean your pots and pans is undercover which is also good. The site itself is very beautiful and it has a supermarket, bar, restaurant and entertainment on site (all within short walking distance from touring area) so you don't have to venture far if you don't want to.
The on site facilities were expensive however and there isnt many alternatives nearby either so be prepared.
It is family orientated with the amusements, swimming pool, entertainment etc. Which is great, but as a young couple on a budget we would maybe try somewhere else, although it was a good base for visiting Monkey World.

Great site, lots for kids to do swimming pool good size with slides. Also had indoor pool so if weather no good, kids still had something. All facilities cleaned regularly. Shower blocks and toilets were never too far away. Pitches have plenty of space. We had space for a gazebo as well as the car. There is also a kids club that is well run. The food on site is good with plenty of choice and reasonably priced.

A fantastic site really child friendly with plenty to do. Club great in the evening for the kids and adults too.
All the facilities were clean with toilet block being cleaned very regularly.
There are some really nice places to visit such as lulworth cove and bournemouth we stayed twice once in august and also in October
Staff helpful and friendly
I would recommend this site to anyone with small children.
Swimming pools clean and tidy on site shop not overpriced.
Will visit again

This is a site where you have to travel to go anywhere, as it is in the country.
The on-site shops and bar are expensive in my opinion. I took some pictures of prices and thought I could post them, but can't seem to find that facility!
The smoking area is outside the arcade right next to the children's playground; good for their passive smoking. !
I too was worried about cleanliness after reading the reviews, but it was fine and one cleaner, Phil, was really thorough.
One thing to note was that there were some single sex toilet and shower facilities, but the biggest and newest had mixed sex toilets and showers. I had no problem with this and used them exclusively, but they weren't 'private' and the walls were the same height as single sex facilities, meaning potential 'problems'. On a plus side for some, one (at least) of the single sex toilet/showers had a bath that could be used!
Washing up facilities were good and there was an token operated iron and ironing board, should you be that way inclined!
There was little sight of security after hours and they were definitely not pro-active in keeping some noisy and raucous families quiet, even at 1am; not good if you have kids, or adults, trying to sleep.
The pitches were varied in size, slope and flatness. We had a standard pitch and it was huge, and even came with a friendly mole which was entertaining in the evening watching it under the groundsheet! Some pitches were tight and one Hi Gear Kalahari 8 tent was really shoehorned in without even room for their car.

Stayed 3 nights and pitch was fine very sheltered with trees, the toilets and showers are clean but dated what should be a 5 min shower takes much longer due to the slow water.
Main entertainment block is all very up to date nice playground for kids
Did not use pool but looked fine
Would stay here again if price was lower
Other sites have more up to date shower facilities.
