Stayed at the site for 6 nights in the school holidays with our children 5 & 7. We camped on the non electric overflow pitches which were level and of a good size we were close to the reception, shower / toilet block and crazy golf. You can freeze you're own ice packs for 20p each.
The showers were free and toilets were clean but could do with a bit of an update. Lots to do on site, swimming pool had a wrist band system where you got to stay in the pool for a certain amount of time so it was never too crowded.
Club at night was busy for the children's entertainment and bingo but cleared a little bit after this and a few tables became available. Food at the restaurant was nice and reasonably priced.
There was a pub 100 yards from the site called the claypipe inn which served food and have a large outdoor playarea for the children. It is a very nice site which we would visit again.

Very large site lots of statics and tents and tourers at the back good size pitch (star pitch)
Toilets showers clean staff very friendly two good pools indoor and out door and a very clean and tidy site
Could of done with some more playgrounds for young kids as could be quite a hike to the main entertainment area didn't eat on site, but a nice pub just up the road nice food and reasonable prices
Very nice area and lots to do and visit. There is a bridle way up the road you can cycle that takes you through fields and woods
Might return

Literally just returned from a long weekend at Sandford. Evening entertainment is fair, disco is not until 11pm, too late for us after a days out. They have static caravans for hire nearer the main complex under trees and this made the area dark and the touring section (where we were) is at the back - much nicer, surrounded by fields. Well laid out pitches. We have a trailer tent and we had a large pitch at the end of a 'road' giving us more space than our neighbours - just luck I guess. Kids love it here as it has an indoor and outdoor pool, so swimming everyday whatever the weather. Showers very hot but there were warning signs that the pressure was low this weekend. Toilet/shower block always busy, but I expected this as its a bank holiday and a school half term! Good sights to visit nearby; Monkey World and Lulworth Castle very close, we enjoyed our short trip to Sandford and will mostly likely be returning sometime.

Just returned from this lovely site, very spacious pitch, and private with conifers in between pitches. We had a star pitch. Lovely helpful staff, really cant complain. Shop was expensive, night entertainment not bad, but mainly for kids. Would've liked some disco for the adults a little earlier in the evening, 11pm was a little too late, and the cabaret acts seemed to be very drawn out, with a lot of audience participation. We found Dorset as a whole, to be very expensive, next time, we will take our own pre cooked meals, and more money! The food on site was very good but dear! and all areas were very clean. Would visit again, Corfe Castle and Durdle Door must not be missed. But the 170 steps down to the shingle beach, and up again takes some energy!

We've just come back from a 2 night stay here and I have to say we were quite impressed. The site offers a good range of things to entertain if you don't fancy exploring the local area and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pitches were a good size and we managed to park our car and get our mammoth sized tent (6 person Royal Biarritz) in too.
We did feel the mixed shower block, which we had to use as the nearest to us was closed for refurbishment, could have been cleaner, but it was warm and had good, hot, showers.
The range of food offered both in the on site shop and their outlets was good and reasonably priced.
On the occasion we had to call security (some nutters letting off fireworks late at night!), they responded promptly and sorted it out.
Our only problem was that with all the bushes and hedges surrounding us we were calling our 3 year old daughter and her friend back every 2 mins as they kept straying off where we couldn't see them, plus we were right next to a park road on an almost blind corner, so the area they had to play in was very limited and not ideal.
All in all, we liked it and would definitely go back again.

A big organised site with lots of facilities. It suffers from over used toilets and bins which always seemed full.
There is little space for kids to roam as there are so many pitches. The entertainment area is good and keeps the kids well occupied.
Handily placed but there are better sites very close to this one. Not one I'll visit again

This was our first full weeks camping and I thought I'd give our impressions. I'll try and not to let the weather influence the review too much. We are 2 Adults 1 child of 3 1 child of 6 with a Sunncamp Shadow 600 tent.
I liked the fact there were hedges separating the pitch and the hookup was close by. The ground was reasonably flat and clear. Size wise our tent is classified as 6 man we have a small canopy and it only just fit in the pitch, there was not room to park the car within the pitch.
Our kids enjoyed the kids club and went on 3 days. The younger kids sessions run 1015-1100 and the slightly older ones 11:00-12:30. I'm not sure what time the teenager ones run.
The pools were quite nice but did get busy and there was a limit on entry on both pools. As the weater was poor the indoor pool was very busy.
The shop onsite was ok with a reasonable range.
It's a good point to explore from
There were plenty of toilets/showers and they were cleaned regularily.
There is not a lot of grass for the kids to play on. There is a field you can get to, if you can find it, which has a football pitch but we would have liked somewhere reasonably near our pitch so that we could watch the boys play and relax ourselves. Most kids end up playing on the roads.
The outdoor play area near the central complex was limited to a smallish boat climbing frame and a couple of play houses. I expect better from a site of this size and cost.
As the weather was poor we spent a lot of time away from the site but I think we would have done this anyway as the site did not really suit our family.

What a lovely site. Great pitch, pity they have to charge 50p for freezing ice blocks! Shower blocks so, so. Not great pressure but plenty of sinks and toilets. Could really stay on site all the time. Pools lovely and clean, lots of children's activities and the entertainment staff were one of the best I have seen in a long time, so much talent between them. Good outside acts too. Supermarkets quite close and good shop on site, along with fast food outlets. Lots of beaches and places to visit nearby. Would definitely go again. Security on site but failed to see what we think was some sort of tramp outside our tent one night, even removed our bin bag! Luckily did not enter the tent. Will put security number in my phone straight away next time.

We visited this site during the at the peak of the summer holidays for 3 nights and had amazingly good weather. We had a good sized pitch with EHU, surrounded on 3 sides by hedges. The grass was a bit bare but level and fine.
The clubhouse was very good with some excellent entertainment, better than most parks.
The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and there were plenty of security patrols, again very friendly.
There were plenty of showers and toilets and hot water. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the facilities.
A shame because it really let the park down.

Fantastic site, our pitch was superb and when we walked around the site didn't see any bad pitches. Didn't stay in the complex area late enough for the adult entertainment but the kids entertainment was fantastic, my little girl loves sid the seagull.Used the outdoor pool and it was good but there are signs saying you can't use cameras then right next to it there's a sign telling you the area is covered by cctv, double standards? the one area that needs attention is the toilet/shower blocks, there are 3 in the camping area, I used all of them over the weekend and they were never clean, this was annoying when staff were stretched out on the bonnets of their vans sunbathing! Pitch fees are a bit pricey too!
